MSNBC Host: If Newtown Massacre Happened at a Black School, We Wouldn’t Be Having ‘National Conversation About Guns’

Attacking the National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre as a racist, MSNBC co-host Touré — no last name, just Touré — said the NRA chief’s rhetoric is full of racial undertones and argued that there would be no “national conversation” about guns if Newtown shooter had shot up a black school.

During his “Touré TV” editorial segment on “The Cycle” Friday, Toure observed that gun violence disproportionately affects minority community, especially blacks. He pointed out that there is strong support in the black community for gun control.

“Perhaps we know Wayne LaPierre is wrong about good guys, and bad guys, and guns…I’m sure many of us find him hard to trust given his obvious use of racial demonization to spread fear that will lead to buying guns,” he said.

Referencing LaPierre’s op-ed in The Daily Caller, Toure jabbed at the NRA head for going after a fictional place called “South Brooklyn” where crime is rampant.

“I think it’s safe to say that when he says that, much of the country envisions a place clogged with black people,” Touré said.

He went on: “Now, if Adam Lanza had walked into a black public school in this mythical South Brooklyn, or in the South Side of Chicago, we would probably not be having a sustained, national conversation about guns.”

Toure then implored Obama to act on gun control, saying whatever he accomplished will “disproportionally help us.”

While there is no doubt that gun violence is devastating within the black community, to suggest the country at large would have reacted any differently to 20 dead black children as opposed to “white” children is outrageous.

What’s really funny here is, and Toure is too d*mn stupid to figure out, the NRA has nothing to do with what stories are printed in the MSM….. Toure is going after the wrong people… Who he should really be mad about is his boss’s or his, how shall I say it… Masters…. It’s the MSM who are not going after all the stories about black on black crime. They’re really the ones he should be mad at, but noooooo, go after the NRA. Touré … You’re the media why weren’t you reporting those urban deaths long ago…seems like you are not doing your job!

Chicago averages ten murders a week and you never report it, seems like a good place to start, it was going on long before Sandy Hook. Both are horrible but one is never reported!

Why don’t you go after the criminals instead of taxpayers who abide by the law!

News flash: thousands of blacks are killed by thousands of blacks each year, where is the national discusion about that?? Instead we are talking about 20 white kids killed in Newtown.

Fact: thousands of blacks kill thousands of blacks each year (and they are only 12% of the population, and blacks kill hundreds of whites each year but fewer blacks are killed by whites during that same time period… year after year after year… feel free to check DOJ and FBI websites. Again, what is the conversation we are subjected to the vast majority of the time… whites killing blacks (the thing that happens the least of all the murders… let’s instead address the real problem, the murderous black culture infecting this nation…

  by the way, fewer whites kill whites (including hispanics) than blacks kill blacks… again, the fewest people (12% of the population is black) committing the MAJORITY of the murders… its a black problem you morons, not a white problem…
  
  …its not all blacks that should be blamed, most of the murderous thugs are black males (half of the 12%… that is six percent for you public school drop outs (again, mostly black?)… and more likely than not to be between the age of 16-28 (that should narrow it down… so there is no need to “over-profile” the whole group when we can be more specific… that is just good police work, right?).

Sure it will. Take all the guns from the law abiding gun owners and it will definitely disproportionally help your people. Then they will all be one hundred percent free to carry out their onslaught on freedom loving Americans that currently can protect their families and homes from the thugs or “US” as you said. It is a shame you are such a bigot. I know plenty of whites, blacks, American Indians(Cherokee mainly) that all own firearms to protect hearth and home. You wanting to help your people, whoever they are, to steal and take from others is pathetic. Shame on you. Did you have to chose Toure because Prince was already taken and that is what is bothering you and causing all your hate?

What needs to happen is more people in the black community like Dr. Carson and others must gain the spotlight and start changing the dialogue. Stop letting the liberal democrats control every issue! Sacrifice your time and stand up. Nothing will change if this does not happen, and they will continue to manipulate the conversation to their favor and change the meaning of everything.

The same goes for women. Today’s Wilkow and Glenn Beck programs were really good. There needs to be this kind of dialogue going on all the time. However, it is basically preaching to the choir. Use every venue to get your message out there.

I was wondering how long it would take before this was brought up. Toure is right about one thing: The Democrats wouldn’t be talking about banning guns if it was a black school because THEY are the racists! Blacks have been killing each other for years and the subject never was brought up before! Did they think the subject would be more palatable because the children were white? See? It makes no difference if the children were white or black or green to the Conservatives The right to bear arms has nothing to do with color.

Just kidding. I don’t think any of this has to do with race. I just wanted the Democrats to see how it felt to be called “racists”.

Please stop making it about race. All real Americans should embrace the second amendment. The first gun control measures were passed to keep blacks from having guns; The courts ruled that to not allow someone to have a gun was to make them a slave. Don’t be a shill; learn history; and please stop making it about race. I for one would have been heart broken if it had happened to black children. God bless the black children.

I really can’t stand Toure, but he’s right about one thing. If a bunch of black students were murdered, most Americans wouldn’t be as outraged as they would be with white students being murdered, but thats because we have become de-sensitized from black murders in America. Murder in the black community is on the news almost daily (at least where I live), so eventually people just shrug their shoulders and accept it as being normal. To top it off, you’ve got Hollywood and rap musicians telling America that murder in the black community is not only normal, but it’s cool.

When there is black on black violence like the School in Minnesota they post it “proudly” on UTube. It goes viral. Black violence is applauded. That the NewTown School Shooting was “deplored” is a sign that “white” America still has some conscience left to itself. But, Obama, being “Jealous” that “white people still care about white people” and revengeful that “white people don’t care about black people” has decided in his jealous rage to “punish white people for caring about white people and not black people.” If Obama even cared one little pinky finger about his own Black People he would go on up into CHICAGO and get their guns cause up in his hometown they are shooting each other in Black Neighborhoods something FIERCE! But does he stop it? NO! Obama does not care about Black people at all! He send Rahm Emmanuel to do something but did Rahm do something? NO! Once again the story is: “White people care about white people” and Obama only cares about being The Emperor. That guy is COLD as ICE! He could stop Black violence but he won’t because he hates his own kind! He hates himself! And white people too! So all you “white” people keep caring about NewTown.
