Jon Stewart Grills Susan Rice on Obama Admin’s Alleged Mismanagement of Benghazi Terror Attack

Questions continue to swirl surrounding the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead. Among the most confounding factors were inaccurate comments made by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice in the wake of the assault. The embattled administration official appeared last night on Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” to discuss the government’s handling of the crisis.
During the exchange, the host challenged Rice on some of the confusing and contradictory information that emerged in the wake of the terror attack. The ambassador also issued some tough words for those who still believe the Obama administration is hiding key information.
Stewart wasted no time launching into his questioning. Almost as soon as Rice sat down, he asked the ambassador why she was selected to speak out on Sunday morning shows and pondered why someone else more appropriate (i.e. Hillary Clinton or another official) wasn’t chosen. The ambassador gave this long-winded answer:
“I’ve spent many-a-Sunday doing the Sunday shows. In this case, Secretary Clinton, who had been asked originally to do it, felt that she didn’t want to, couldn’t do it that week, having been through quite an intense week with the loss of our colleagues in Benghazi, the violence against our embassies all over the Arab and Muslim world and then — also that Friday having to join President Obama in greeting the families of our fallen colleagues and bringing their bodies back.”
As far as the intelligence she relied upon goes, Rice overwhelmingly defended it, but did note that there was at least one bit of information that ended up being incorrect. Claims that a protest had resulted from an anti-Islam film in Benghazi were false. While this story was incorrect, Rice doubled-down to defend the rest of the intelligence that was gathered, claiming that it has held up over time.
“I shared the best information that our intelligence community had at the time,” she said, repeating a line that has frequently been issued to address criticism over the past few months. “They provided the talking points that I used. And they were wrong in one respect, we learned subsequently. And that is that there wasn’t, in fact, a protest.”

As the interview progressed, Rice seemed somewhat impatient with those who continue to question the administration’s handling of the event. She told Stewart that she believes ”there have been ample opportunities for them to understand what’s going on.”
Stewart responded by lightly grilling Rice on a number of issues, particularly the ever-confusing comments that came from a variety of administration officials about where the talking points originated. After recapping the confusion, Stewart told Rice, “It does look like there’s a great deal of confusion there.” Then, the ambassador launched into her views on the “bigger tragedy” in this scenario:
“There’s always confusion when you have a tragedy of that sort and Americans are killed. The bigger tragedy is we’ve spent all of these months trying to figure out the origin of some talking points which were cleared at the highest levels of the intelligence community and, in my opinion, not enough time doing the service we owe to our fallen colleagues…”
While Stewart also wondered if disorganized bureaucracy played a role in the mismanagement of the situation, Rice took a different view, saying that, ”folks were doing their very best with what they had and it wasn’t good enough in these circumstances.”
And when Stewart asked her to respond critics who are demanding more answers and contending that the administration is hiding something, Rice issued some tough words.
“They’re dead wrong,” she said. “And they are, in fact, doing a disservice to those we lost.”

Rather than questions, there appeared to be an open forum of those panels who spoke in support of her and the Administration. Then, at the end of the shows held up the four dead as unfortunate martyrs and ending the shows with an “oh well” attitude. Those mean Republicans just won’t respectively be quiet as they should.

Susan Rice is just the pawn and represents one of the ‘official’ useful idiots. She was chosen to tell the lies because she is a woman, a minority and it was hoped that she would easily get the Secretary of State position so that her actions would become “unquestionable.”
Look for more of these little conversations designed to keep the masses distracted from the truth. Tell a lie enough and it soon becomes the truth.

I am not from an “intelligence community”, but “strangely” I knew that the movie had nothing to do with the massacre in Benghazi days before Rice appeared on a non-comedian show.

Four Americans are dead becauseof their screwup, and it might affect Obamer’s election chances. So, they circled the wagons and decided from the start to obfuscate and put out confusing and contradictory statements, keep the higher-ups insulated, and if possible turn it into such a morass that no one would ever have to take responsibility for their failure. The simple fact remains that these 4 Americans would never have died if Hilary and Oblamer had done their jobs. Notice that no one has been personally blamed and no one has suffered any real consequences for these probably preventable deaths. Hillary took full responsibility, and then blamed eveyone else. Her Congressional testamony was fully reminicient of her Rose Law Firm testamony – incomplete, meant to confuse and avoid the truth. She is after all, a democrap working in a democrap administration. I never expected anything more from these people.

Everyone in the world hates us more. 92% of Pakistani’s hate the United States and Americans, even after that PR campaign that Frau Clinton and Bobo made. The incompetence and arrogance is so ripe you can see the fumes of pompousness wafting off them as they walk into a room. They’re twisted, and think they are untouchable and above reproach. They’re annoyed they actually have to answer questions about it. How DARE we question them, who are we to ask inconvenient questions of the Holy See in Washington.

When people get their news from comedy sources what else can we expect? Even in this setting, as Stewart asks questions and Rice responds the audience does nothing but laugh. Several years ago when my son was younger he used to watch this then come and ask me how anybody could take such drivel as serious news.

The families must take great pride and comfort when the Commander-In-Chief, whereabouts unknown for the duraton of the attack, calls the death of your loved ones, in service to their country, “bumps in the road”.

Hillary is far more devious than 0bama, and she is willing to put in the time efficiently. 0bama is lazy, and Hillary will run circles around us if given another chance. I’ve said it before and will say it again now, Hillary scares me far more than 0bama, and 0bama scares the sh/t out of me daily.
BARBER2, I caught that yesterday too. Apparently the Heinz-Kerrys have had nothing to do with the day to day operations with Heinz Foods anyway. But, what is coming to us once Soros gets his hands on it? I haven’t touched a Heinz product in more than a decade anyway, and frankly, haven’t touched ketchup even longer. Just don’t care for it.

My Dad (from Pittsburgh) would say “they’re socialists, we don’t use their products.” So after I was on my own, I find out “Hey, this stuff is pretty good!”. Then I found out what my Dad was talking about and guess what? My kids didn’t get any Heinz 57 either. LOL
