Yes, SNL Did Marco Rubio’s State of the Union Water Break

Saturday Night Live spoofed Sen. Marco Rubio’s now-infamous water sip during the Republican State of the Union response, with “Rubio” there to explain what happened.
“So what, my mouth got a little dry and I took a drink of water,” said Rubio, played by Taran Killam. “We’ve all been there. You’re about to give an important policy speech. You get a little nervous in the green room and you eat a whole bag of dry-roasted peanuts and some beef jerky. There are hot lights on you. The room isn’t ventilated.
“You’re wearing your lucky burlap unitard under your suit, so, you do what anyone would do: suddenly lunge to the side, all the while holding awkward eye contact with the camera, and then you take a drink from the tiniest bottle of water anyone’s ever seen and then for no reason you set the bottle down even farther away. So what? Let’s talk about policy,” he said.
Of course, when the Florida senator tried a do-over of the speech for the SNL audience, it didn’t go so smoothly either. See the full clip below, via NBC:

That way no one wants to be in the lead position, and without somebody in front, the column can’t go anywhere, and is therefore impotent.
The liberal press is a propaganda army levying political war on the Republic, and this SNL skit is one of a great many examples of their use of Ernesto’s tactic: always kill the leader, because without a leader, a movement can’t go anywhere.

An oppressive government is the intent. It is starting to make a lot nervous about Obama and yes gun confiscation is part of that oppression. So is a national sales tax. That will start being talked more about by summer.

Sarah Palin had an entire VP campaign to show she was not stupid. You can blame the media all you want, but Paul Ryan never came off as someone as out of touch with current events as Palin did in ’08. She has never said anything particularly insightful on current events; instead, she comes up scare tactics one liners such as “death panels” and “socialism” after ever word.
Allen West? Please – calling every Democrat in Congress a “communist,” not to mention the brash and insolent way he acted (as a freshmen, mind you, someone with no seniority) made him impossible to be taken seriously.
Herman Cain’s campaign derailed itself after his sexual harassment nonsense came out. When you have that in your past, you have to get out ahead of it because in 2012 you have to know it will come out. He didn’t – his campaign is to be blamed for that.
Rubio’s speech wasn’t a flop because of the water bottle – it was a flop because it was a regurgitation of the same conservative message voters have been hearing for the last 10 years. New face, but same old message. He also made his “response” as though he hadn’t heard a word Obama said during the SOTU.

It was funny when he began his portion of Weekend Update with “Jane, you incredibly ignorant slut…….” as a counter to whatever Jane Curtain had just covered. And the greatest moment – when Dan Akroyd and John Belusi first appeared as the Blues Brothers and performed “I’m a Soul Man”. Ever since then it’s become left wing crap, with hosts like Alec Baldwin and the brand has been destroyed.
Nothing more than liberal left wing progressive propaganda……..the humor is gone, it’s now idiots speaking to idiots. But what do you expect. Until a couple of weeks ago NBC was owned GE and GE’s CEO Jeff Immelt was, and probably still is, the chairman of Obama’s job council. NBC is the Obama station, and Jeff has done such a great job of lowering unemployment.
I guess that’s Obama’s interpretation of transparency “I’ll do it right in your face because you’re so stupid you’ll never get it.” And a good portion of America is buying right in. They’ll get the real picture, as will the mainstream media who don’t report on Obama’s high crimes and misdemeanors, when the impeachment hearings start on Fast & Furious, Benghazi, and the Obama Executive Branch Power grap via Executive Orders.
Then we’ll be seeing skits of Obama pretending to be the President of some kindergarten class with Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank, Hillary Clinton et al in their little school desks

What we need now is a skit showing all the times the President has lied to the people and how many times he has apologized and how many times he has gone on vacation alone and with family, how many times he slept through attacks on our embassies (now that is not funny), So, no a drink of water should stop his ambitions in whatever he does in life.

Making fun of Rubio for “drinking water” IS funny
while the man child the King is taking a $3000 Golf Lesson in Florida on the tax payers dime isn’t.

2nd vacation in 2013 & we are only 6 weeks into the year?

The King & Queen on separate vacations on the tax payers dime?

I don’t find anything funny about NBC or the Obamas either and that channel is on my

While the community organizer and chief held an anti-gun rally, the murders were on going around town, 4 that is. I wonder if any of Holder’s Fast & Furious guns were used in these murders? After all the guns went to the Mexican Drug Lords that are waging war in Chi Town…. With tax payer money to pay for the guns

Of the Cubans who I knew when I lived in Tampa, and if politics ever came up in conversation. They were way right of my perceptions. The influx of Cubans at the Mariel Boat Lift came back and bit Carter on the ass. Those who settled down and registered to vote turned out to be conservative. That is why Clinton would not let them in the U.S. back in ’94 and kept some at Gitmo, and shipped the majority to Panama. At least until he and his buddy Castro worked out a deal to have the majority repatriated back to Cuba. Bubba was not about to let that many potential conservative voters set foot in this country. Remember Elian Gonzalez?

I grew up in a navy neighborhood and one of the guys I new moved to FL from San Diego when his dad was stationed to FL.
This guy was one of the Agular brothers (heavier one) from the original bad news bears movie. The funny thing was that he was not even Hispanic. I believe if my memory serves me right he was Filipino.

This is not me saying this, it was stated in an email to another reader as a response as to why there seems to be such a marriage between the two companies. That is also why you see so many links to other NBC products. It is all about the cash folks and has nothing to do with a philosophy or politics.
Glen Beck is using his followers to make a buck and support this far left agenda. He is making money hoeing both sides of the row.
