Police Release Terrifying Footage of Hit-and-Run Accident in Hopes of Hunting Down Driver

Police in Greater Manchester, England have released dramatic and disturbing footage of a hit-and-run accident that occurred in August. An unidentified driver is seen on video running over three pedestrians as they attempted to cross the street in Manchester City Center.

One of the victims is reportedly still in the hospital due to brain injures.

Police are searching for this man in connection with the incident:

Aww but shucks. If you look realy close, the cross walk light was good with a white person indicator that shows it is your turn to cross. Silly lights do not negate your responsibily to at least look out for your own safey before crossing a street.

  I hate what happened to these people. It is unfortunate that so many of us put so must trust in traffic signals and just accept that because the signal indicates the all clear that it is safe. I remember in Nashville, TN many years ago a guy a went to school with was driving drunk and speeding down Donelson Pike. A mother with her kids were at the light of Donelson Pike and Lakeland Dr. The light turned green and she pulled out. The drunk driver hit her broadside at over 70 mph. The mother and her kids died and my classmate was unhurt. It was a straight road well lit with street lights. If only she had looked, even though the signal said to proceed she would have seen him coming. It was tragic. From that day I apply what I call the Ronald Reagan approach to traffic signals. Trust but verify. It has saved my a$$ on more than one occasion. I wasn’t there so I cannot say definitively but it appears that the same sort of situation happened in this incident. Something I am glad to see disappear was those ridiculous spinner hub cabs. One of the visual ques I use to determine if a car is starting to roll is wheel movement. Those idiotic things kept spinning with the car sitting still. I hated them. Something that really sets me off is the creepers. Those people sitting at a light or stop sign waiting for traffic to clear before pulling out will suddenly start rolling forward in anticipation of the last car passing. You don’t know if they will pull in front of you or stop.

  Oh dear, ever since i emigrated to the usa from uk one thing i have noticed on
  American roads is complete morons just walking into the road not even acknowledging
  The existance of metal projectiles called motor vehicles. Lemmings does not even come
  Close, this is on a daily basis. Perhaps it is just the x factor generation endowed with super
  Human abilities to withstand impact in excess of 1 ton.
  
  Do kids here not get taught the equivilent of the green cross code ?
  Should not complain really, darwin gets to do his thing and weed out the stupids in life.

  I’ve been noticing that too. People just walk right out into the road & parking lots without even looking for traffic.
  
  Once I saw a dad with 2 little boys and a little girl walking through a parking lot. They walked right behind a car who had the reverse lights on & was getting ready to back up. The father looked right at the lights & kept walking. The driver almost ran over the 2 boys and the father was actually mad at the driver. What idiot would walk behind a car getting ready to back up?

  Bloody, they’re taught to look both ways and make sure the way is clear, but the vast majority of people in this country are lost in their own little fantasy world. Texting, facebook, daydreaming, just oblivious to the world around them. Sadly, situational awareness just isn’t very prevalent in most people these days. If it were, we wouldn’t have reelected Ofailure.

In the video, the pedestrians that were hit did not even look right, in the direction of traffic. The guy far left in the video looked right and stopped in his tracks. Then the 3 stooges wandered out into the road and got hit. These 3 blokes need to take SOME responsibility for their own safety. Shucks, that law of GWT still applies mates.

  Just because vehicles are required to give right of way to pedestrians in walk ways does not mean they do. Do you believe gun laws stop criminals? Do you believe drug laws stop drug dealers? Just because a law says you’re supposed to do something doesn’t mean it is followed to the letter by everyone. Drivers blow through lights all the time.
