Gay Man Clashes With Fiery Preacher on NYC Subway: ‘I’m a Good Man and I’m a Gay Man — and Jesus Loves Me!’
Street preachers are relatively common in New York City. But when these individuals take their messages from outdoors to the confines of subway cars, patrons sometimes get agitated. After all, many of these pastors, while well-intentioned, yell their sermons and force their ideals upon patrons. In response, weary riders tend to ignore the displays, rolling their eyes or tuning the preachers out entirely.
In a video that was uploaded to YouTube a few days ago, though, one patron decided to speak up after a man preaching on the subway took aim at homosexuality.
“What the hell are you teaching our children that two men that lay together and have sex,” the preacher can be heard saying in a video captured by a cell phone. “What are you teaching the younger generation?”
As he continued, some spoke out against his message, calling him “full of hate,” “ignorant,” “scared” and “bad,” however he was dissuaded from stopping. In addition to claiming that singer Michael Jackson “died, because he was gay,” the man spoke about anatomy and his views on same-sex relationships.
“You can’t put to men together,” he continued. “Men don’t got no breasts.”
One of the patrons listening to these messages simply couldn’t take the diatribe any longer. He jumped out of his seat, faced the preacher and said, “I’m a man and I’m a good man — and I’m a gay man and Jesus loves me.” He continued, repeating the line that Christ loves him at least two additional times.
The preacher responded fervently. As the two continued to clash, the self-described gay man called the preacher a “false prophet.”
“Jesus is love,” he said, getting a round of applause from those on the train.
Watch the clash unfold, below:

Posted on February 19, 2013 at 11:27amObviously Jesus loves the sinner and hates the sin. This man is correct in saying that Jesus loves him. He died for him. And this man is no less in need of Christ’s forgiveness than anyone else. But also, understand, that God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of the homosexuals. He destroyed it because of the public openly condoning it. Which is what the US is trying to do now. OOOF!

So tell me this. Tribes living in the amazon who have no knowledge of your ‘God” or your religion. What happens to them for breaking your religious laws which they don’t even know exist?
@ SEARCHER619:
They do know they exist. They are already practicing some of them. Their “understanding” needs to be enlightened. This is the reason for “the sent ones” to correct them, to get them to stop some of their destructive social and cultural practices. Many missionaries gave their lives to help primitive people stop eating other people (cannabilism) and stop other behavior that was absolutely brutal. Many tribes have thrived on the basis of “treachery” and this was their highest value in their primitive lives. If they could cheat others, lure others to their deaths, and so forth, they were given high honors. The acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ended this value and replaced it with human respect, dignity of others and a higher value on life and cooperative community.

the bible also teaches that it isn’t your place to judge others. that is for God to do. Your job is to love each other regardless of the sins real or imagined we all commit.
@SEARCHERS619.
That is simply another politically correct lie. The Bible gives me ample room to make judgements. You and I make judgements all day long. In fact, in Corinthians, the Apostle Paul told the Church to “throw the woman and her son out” of the Church for sleeping together okay? The Bible gives me PLENTY of Authority to make judgements.
Would YOU let YOUR 16 year old daughter go out of YOUR HOUSE with a young slick dude of 18 who rode up on a motorcycle with a stick of weed and a six pack open on the seat of his motorcycle? Would you let her go with this guy? NOPE! You and I both know you wouldn’t cause he would “corrupt your daughter”, right? Yep. You KNOW he would. Therefore, You would assess the situation, his behavior, his age, your daughters age and MAKE A JUDGEMENT right then and there and you would tell your daughter to get back in the house, wouldn’t you?
So, welcome to your own life of 24-7 judgements. You do THIS all day long. You make JUDGEMENTS about who you will do business with, who you will associate with and your family. What you wrote up above is a hypocritical lie. You don’t even live this way.

Two Tab A’s or two Slot B’s will never produce either Tab A or Slot B, thus removing themselves from existence. God’s plan is “To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man”. Any other action is anathema to His purpose.
I propose that the first naturally occurring offspring of a gay couple may vote on gay marriage.

He was obnoxiously loud and rude. After experiencing these guys a couple more times I stopped reading on the subway and started listening to music to drown them out when they cam on. The subway is not the place for people to try and force their religious/political views on others who can’t simply walk away when they don’t want to hear you ramble. I have no issues with the panhandlers and street performers who regularly came on to try and make a buck. At least they are trying to make money and not robing you. Why don’t you engage the street preacher? Why not ask him or her some questions? The problem in our society is everyone wants to “tune out” and then just throw a few coins at a panhandler. Where people get off with “Judge not least you be judged” is that they are really saying dont confront me in my sin . Yeah well that doesnt hold water.”
@TEXAN;
I do so love it when people quote me this verse from Romans, “Judge not lest you be judged” and then don’t read on past vs. 21 which says, “do you who DO THESE THINGS judge others?” So, what Paul is saying to the Church at Rome is not to judge homosexuality but that you have no RIGHT to judge homosexuality IF you practice it also! Now, that is a good Bible Study for people because they NEVER get the particular nuance of that passage that Paul is saying to people practicing homosexuality to stop judging OTHER people who practice it. “I was never taught that Jesus is love. I was taught that Jesus is LORD.”
I’m sorry for your religious education then, as I was taught both just by reading the Bible. Jesus is Lord and deserves our love; but He is also God, the source of all love in the first place.”
@LOCKED:
No need to feel sorry for my education. It was all fine and good. To bow to the Lordship of Christ is to show your love. To obey the Lord. To obey his commands is to PROVE love. I can’t stand CHEAP GRACE and so I got out of Evangelical Christianity as a pastor years ago. I am retired. If you love the Lord Obey his commands. It is not that hard to do.
The Lord Jesus has been “romanticized” and “secularized” to death until he is some “feel good God” in which anything goes. Jesus is now like the new Santa Claus. Always positive. Always happy. Always gives every child exactly what they want. There is no more coal. Coal has been outlawed. That is ‘mean.”
And, so, Evangelical Christianity trudges on in this shallow philosophy about Jesus. That all is GRACE. There are no consequences to sin. If I have an affair and divorce my children won’t be affected. If I have an abortion as a teenage Christian girl I won’t be affected for life. If I have homosexual sin but go to church I won’t be affected. It is all “good” and “jesus loves me.” Well just keep repeating these lies. They aren’t true. They aren’t the Gospel.

Leave that lifestyle. Leave that behavior to be saved. There is NO SALVATION without REPENTANCE of SINS. True and faithful repentance. Leave sexual sin. For good. Embrace the Lordship of Jesus Christ and be Embraced by it. Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God! You are not Lord. I am not Lord. He is Lord. If this man TRULY understood God’s love for him he would leave that sexual sin of his in a heartbeat BUT….he lies. He does not Love Jesus or his Lordship. HE loves his FLESH. He loves his sexual sin. Therefore. Jesus is NOT Lord in his life. He is in disobedience. He is in an unrepentant state. Therefore, he is not saved. He is not actively being saved by the Lordship of Christ which is where the POWER comes from. His sexual sin is sinking him lower and lower every day while he claims Jesus loves him. What good is it to claim that Jesus Loves you while you deny his Lordship? they go hand in hand. You have to SUBMIT yourself to the Lordship of Jesus in order to be made whole. This man is in a state of disintegration because of his sexual sin. He is ripping and tearing himself apart. How is that love? He doesn’t love the Lord. He loves his sin.
