Krauthammer Mocks Press For Outrage Over Obama’s Private Golf Game: Biggest ‘Non-Story’ Since the Kardashian Weddings

Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer on Monday characterized the press’ outrage over being denied access to Obama’s golf game with Tiger Woods as a giant “non-story.”

“If the guy wants to play golf, the guy deserves a couple of days off,” the noted author told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly.

Krauthammer also mocked the White House press corps for issuing a statement criticizing the Obama administration for its “lack of transparency” — over a golf game.

“He wants privacy? Big deal. This is the biggest non-story that the media have created since the Kardashian weddings.”

For whatever reason, O’Reilly asked Krauthammer if Woods’ “dubious” history explained some of the press’ outrage.

“I don’t think Obama’s out there with Tiger receiving marital advice. I think he’s receiving advice on how to line up a putt,” Krauthammer answered.

Still, according to Fox’s chief White House correspondent Ed Henry, the kerfuffle over being excluded from the president’s foursome is about much more than being denied access to a celebrity golf match.

“This is a fight for more access, period,” Henry told POLITICO Monday. “I’ve heard all kinds of critics saying the White House press corps is whining about a golf game and violating the president’s privacy. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

“We’re not interested in violating the president’s privacy. He’s entitled to vacations like everyone else. All we’re asking for is a brief exception, quick access, a quick photo-op on the 18th green,” he added. “It’s not about golf — it’s about transparency and access in a broader sense.”

“There is a very simple but important principle we will continue to fight for today and in the days ahead: transparency,” said Henry.

I wish that he played golf everyday and keep him of TV with the crap he has to vomit on the public. If his golf is like his governing, it is a double bogey affair.

I finally figured out why the propaganda media was mad at obama for not letting them cover him golfing. This meant that they had to actually report on something else, and they don’t like that.

I don’t care if Obama wants to golf with Tiger, or if Tiger is willing to golf with the President. I am wondering why they felt it neccessary to try to hide it. Once again, where did the false story come from that it wasn’t Tiger, but only Tiger Woods coach that he played with? Why is it our President (or maybe his staff or both) seem to automatically feel that the best path is a lie until forced to tell the truth? A real test of a true narcissistic pathological liar is one that lies even when it makes no sense or profit to do so.

Watching the media get their panties in a bunch over a non-issue such as this always give me a good laugh. They are really maxed out at that level. No wonder they can’t produce any real news.

The press is not outraged. They are acting like it to give idiots the impression that suddenly the press is trying to be ‘balanced’.

…and his “hawaii trips” run around 20 million taxpayer dollars?? When there are families out here eating beans out of a can to survive…..he does not deserve to live among us.

This is about what it is costing taxpayers. Figure that out between his scuz bag wife of his and him paying Woods to teach him to golf and paying for Air Force One to fly him to Florida, you figure it out. Aren’t there more pressing issues he has to take care of? Obviously he doesn’t care. Bush took more vacations? To his ranch, not to extravagant places like Africa and bring an entourage with him/her.

Yeah right, Obama is entitled to privacy, while he is in the process of taking away everyone else’s
privacy, with one executive order after another. Just wait until Progressives take away our 2nd amendment rights, after stealing our health privacy with Obamacare.
