BERLIN (AP) — Nuclear-armed North Korea has used a U.N. disarmament meeting to warn that South Korea risks “final destruction.”
The comments Tuesday by a North Korean diplomat at the Geneva-based Conference on Disarmament come a week after Pyongyang conducted a third nuclear test.
Several countries, including the United States, Britain and Germany, condemned the latest test at the meeting and urged North Korea to abide by U.N. resolutions barring it from testing nuclear weapons or missiles.
South Korea called the tests a flagrant violation of U.N. resolutions and a threat to the entire international community.
Upon which North Korea’s representative declared that “South Korea’s erratic behavior would only herald its final destruction.”
U.S. envoy Laura E. Kennedy tweeted later that the North’s comments had been “offensive.”

Feb. 19, 2013 at 10:41pm@Soybomb – I saw that; here’s what got me, not that I didn’t already know –
“While the FBI was busy convincing Nafis that he was a member of “al-Qaeda,” a terror group largely created and funded by the U.S. government decades ago, the Obama administration and Western powers were providing arms and money to real self-styled al-Qaeda fighters waging “jihad” in Syria. Before that, known al-Qaeda leaders were benefiting from overwhelming support from the Obama administration in the fight to oust Libya’s former despot, Moammar Gadhafi.”

Feb. 19, 2013 at 11:16pmFrom what’s reported by the Japanese, Obama has had military teams in North Korea several times over the last couple of years as guest. Has any one noticed what side Obama seems to always be on. I guess his time at the Islamic schools helped.
Has anyone notice how many 4 star generals have left. It unheard of.

Feb. 20, 2013 at 4:18pmIt would be a great loss to loose S.K. South Korea Loves the US we have helped them through out the time they/we fought in the Korean war. It amazes me that they border with a country that has N.W. and wants to destroy them and wipe them off the face of the map. How i admire their patronage.
China has always backed N.K. If North Korea did nuke S.K. It would put Obama in an interesting position. Would he help S.K. and risk war with China? Or do you think he would just stand down and sign over our sovereignty to that of the N.W.O. Of course they would offer “Obama” a seat at the table. Then China would eat the small little country of N.K. and they would forever be subjects to China and Russia, Much as we would be. There is nothing we would be able to do about it. It is going to happen at some point. There are too many stupid leaders in the world today with nukes. I just hope it doesn’t happen to some place in America. The end result will be the same. Because we will be to weak to act militarily China and Russia will cease power and punish who they say caused it. In the stroke of a pen we would loose everything we have all the freedoms we enjoy. No more freedom of religion, no more Gay people, No more guns, no more constitution, we would be subject to the NWO and all their laws. This is only but one way it can happen, Obama and his Republican minions are in on it. Anyone who helps Obama will be rewarded with “power” when the day comes…

You think O is going to respond in kind to a nuke? or even go to war with them to a level that would threaten removal Kim Jong? Feb. 19, 2013 at 10:14pmThen again .. if we don’t put our foot-in .. or armies in trouble spots like North Korea, who now have nuclear weapons, how do we stop enemy nations from sliding into Nuclear war? It doesn’t matter it seems what decision is made to interfere or not interfere, we now will not be able to avoid nuclear Holocaust. There is enough enemies out there to make sure of that.. all due to hands off before approach when something could have been done with previous government policies, the ‘can got kicked down’ the road, and now I’m thinking it’s too late, and we are just waiting for the-hammer-to-fall. dang it anyway

However, you always keep your eye on someone whose country’s on the brink of starvation as starving people are subject to do anything. For those of you who care, NK & Iran have been working in tandem, one on long range missiles the other on miniaturizing nuclear warheads and voila they both have the ability to make ICBM’s now! Our pres refuses to acknowledge this as it would reveal he’s been lying to the American people thus forcing him to exercise the military option! Oh what a treat these idiots are n boy are our lives in perilous danger as a result!

Feb. 19, 2013 at 10:02pmEveryone seems to be regarding these threats from N Korea as some kind of joke, yet consider this much…
We have a cowardly and weak-willed President, a military service being crippled by Obama and one which is all but exhausted and worn down by 10 years of warfare. China is growing ever bolder with Japan and all too easily may sense weakness in S Korea’s major ally (America) and therefore give the approval for the N Korean government to seize the south and turn it into a vassal state of China.
Do not underestimate the chance for a full scale regional war; this is the window for the Chinese government to make gains at the expense of America.

Feb. 19, 2013 at 9:54pmKim Jong should realize that South Korea’s destruction may come at a heavy cost. Or, that is what I would have thought a few years ago. Now I think we may side with North Korea and Iran against Israel and the industrialized world. We are living in interesting and uncertain times. We Peasants experienced a brief flash of liberty and freedom. It was beautiful, an era of unlimited possibilities. It is over. We are now living in the era of dictators.
