Teen Flees Town After Posting This Graphic Picture on Facebook of a Dog Killed by an Arrow

Editor’s note: This post contains a graphic image. Discretion is advised.

An Oklahoma high school student has received death threats and left town after he posted a picture of a pit bull he had killed with a bow and arrow on Facebook.

In addition to the picture, the post by 18-year-old Caisen Green read, ”For all you pit lovers out there. Here’s what happens when one shows up around my house.”

Oklahoma Teen Caisen Green Posts Picture of Pit Bull Shot With Arrow on Facebook

This image has since been removed from Facebook and Green’s page as a whole has been disabled for the time being. (Image: Facebook via Daily Mail)

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the issue, but authorities said in a press release that Green has not been available for questioning as he left the area due to death threats he had been receiving, KJRH reported. Undersheriff Jason Chennault asked in the release for people to stop making threats against Green and his Green family and noted that those making threats could be subject to prosecution.

“I understand people don’t want to see animals hurt,” Chennault told the Muskogee Phoenix. “But death threats are not going to help the situation.”

The Phoenix went on to report Chennault saying that the department needs more information about the events surrounding the dog’s death.

“It’s a gray area,” Chennault said to the Phoenix. “If the dog is threatening livestock or your well-being, you can do what you have to do stop it. I’m going to do my best to get everything done this week, and we’ll forward the report to the (District 27) District Attorney’s Office.”

Fox 23 reported these thoughts from local residents regarding the photo:

“He needs to be punished the right way, and not by people doing something to him,” says Tahlequah resident, Charles York.

[...]

“Something needs to be done and he shouldn’t be able to get away with killing a dog like that and putting it on facebook and have nothing done to him,” says Jennifer Tillison.

Fox 23 also reported that Green is expected to give a statement to law enforcement with his attorney Tuesday.

Officials with the local humane society are reported as saying they were shocked by the post but wouldn’t seek jail time as punishment as they don’t feel it would change Green’s attitude toward the breed.

“It would be better for him to have to work community service, maybe 100 hours in a facility to where he can learn and be around people who love dogs and understand dogs lives,” Humane Society of Cherokee County board member Lou Hays told KJRH-TV.

I don’t support the senseless killing of animals and believe that God will hold such a person accountable. Like others, I do not know enough about this incident to pass judgment.

What I do know is that a large number of degenerate Americans consider the value of animal life(creation of God) greater than the value of human life (offspring of God). I would not trust such a person to make any type of moral decision because their moral compass is totally screwed up.

I could list statistics that are worse than that, about blacks. Does that mean we should exteminate blacks Get the idea? Who owned the dogs in those statistics? A pit bull is a powerful dog, just like a .44 mag is a powerful gun, and either in the hands of a fool are dangerous. Does that sink in, ignoramous?

      @spfoam1

Are you really equating an animal to an entire race of people?!? I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt but it sounds incredibly racist. PEOPLE are capable of more than any animal. If not, dogs would be ruling the world. But since they are our PETS, I think it goes without saying that the comparison of people to animals is seriously screwed up.

      SPFoam1,
The gun cannot make the decision to kill.
You can not reason with a dog. I love dogs, have always had dogs, but a dog is a dog and a dog does what a dog does.
BTW… love the name calling. You lose the argument every time.

That is not a quick kill shot. That animal suffered, I know from my bow hunting days when I was younger. Not enough detail in this story to say or not if the dog needed to be put down at this time in that manner.

I’m a dog lover with very little love for pit bulls.. That being said, If you or your property are threatened by ANY breed of dog then you have the right to handle that problem… Now here is the bigger issue.. When you decide to post pictures of a dog you killed with an arrow hanging out of it and tagged with a cocky warning to “All pit lovers” out there, your self portrayal moves from “protective land owner” to “Arrogant *******” and not many people respond well to the latter.. Work on your PR kid, your not that cool.

It is a dog owners responsibility to control their pet. If a dog is threatening my animals or livestock (or me) I will defend them. Ranchers kill coyotes every day. Spay and neuter your dogs and keep them properly protected behind a fence. Exercise your dog to make them well behaved. Train them. If not…well they may meet their end under a car, torn apart and eaten by coyotes or by bullet or other means. Sorry about the graphic description, but I see it too often and it makes me mad that people let their dogs run loose. I live in the desert and coyotes, bob cats and mt. lion are predators. I’m not mad at the animal, I get mad at their owners.

I don’t know the whole story. One thing I do know if your going to kill an animal then kill it as fast as you as you can,you don’t shoot it in the guts and use a gun,not a bow.If this dog was chasing livestock or after the kids,I can totally understand killing the dog,but if it passing thru,NO.If it was one of my dogs and it got out by accident and you shot for no reason. Then its on.

“One thing I do know if your going to kill an animal then kill it as fast as you as you can,you don’t shoot it in the guts”

You are assuming he is a marksman and had plenty of time to aim. What if he was scared? What if he was just a bad shot?

      “and use a gun,not a bow.”

You are assuming that he owns and has access to a gun. BIG assumption.

“If it was one of my dogs and it got out by accident and you shot for no reason.”

A dog on my property is considered an assumed threat to my children (if they are home). Same as if you had a pet tiger. I shoot first and ask questions later (same with coyotes and snakes, even if they look “cute”). Don’t like it, keep your animals on your own property. Your irresponsibility with your animals is not my responsibility. That being said, introduce me to your pet when you get it and I am much more likely to bring it home first.

First of all, this animal appears to have died from starvation, judging by the backbone and ribs. Secondly, it appears to me that an arrow was placed in a wound left by a scavenging animal. Thirdly, a well shot arrow many times goes straight through an animal, especially when hit in an area of soft tissue, as shown, even if the arrow glances off of a bone and in this case the injured dog would have removed this arrow, as it appears to be only embedded about an inch or so. This kid found a dead and scavenged animal, placed an arrow in the wound caused by a fox or rat and took the picture. He then, like an idiot, posted it up on FB to look cool to all of his “friends.” This is just my humble opinion. Approximate worth…$0.02

Mr. Green. I do not think there will ever be sufficient time to forget or any place you can hide that can stop someone from eventually making you answer for this. The law is the least of your worries. By posting this picture you have given the world a very accurate glimpse into your personality. You have demonstrated that you feel you are a real hot-shot dangerous boy. You decided to show the world just how dangerous you believe you are by posting a picture of someones pet you killed. Wow, you have me trembling in fear boy. Also it seems to me that you do not fear others as you are so tough killing domesticated pets with a big bad bow and arrow. Then posted a picture with that quote seeming to dare anyone to do anything about it. Let me tell something you snivel ling little s*#. There are many real badasses out there that love dogs. They see this & their blood boils. Two minutes with just one of these men and you little pet killer would cry for your mommy one last time. I have a big pit bull dog myself. He sleeps in the bed with the wife and I and we think of him as our child. I wonder if the dog you killed had a life like that? All I have to say is that if anyone ever did that to my dog, we would meet eventually, in person. We would talk in depth of their actions. And one thing that person would come to realize during our conversation, and I do mean truly realize, is that people love their dogs like their own family members and will seek vengeance for harm caused them.

He has a hatred of a specific breed, and that in itself suggests he is an idiot. Posting this on line confirms he is an idiot. He may have had a reason to shoot the dog, but if that was necessary he should not have gut shot the animal. The gut shot is intentionally cruel. Posting the picture of a gut shot dog tells the world he is willing to subject an animal to a prolonged painful death to get even with the owner of the dog.

Maybe he was attacked in the past.

True, but he is a teen and look what our politicians post…

“He may have had a reason to shoot the dog, but if that was necessary he should not have gut shot the animal.”

      You assume good aim.

“The gut shot is intentionally cruel. ”

Again, assuming good aim. He may have been lucky to hit it at all.

“Posting the picture of a gut shot dog tells the world he is willing to subject an animal to a prolonged painful death to get even with the owner of the dog.”

Maybe he was attacked in the past and the posting was the result of his frustration with the dog? It has no collar, from what I can tell and it looks quite thin. Maybe it was a stray? Not enough info about the situation to know if it was a long painful death. To be quite honest, it doesn’t even look like a wound inflicted by an arrow.

@whatdoibelieve………I don’t see a second shot to put it out of its misery, so it was intentional cruelty. How long do you think that dog suffered with an arrow in its belly? By your own words you justify posting a picture of a gut shot animal because the guy may have been frustrated. You are freaking sick. I’ve been attacked by dogs, but I don’t gut shoot them and post the picture on the internet like a sick moron. Are you arguing that it’s OK to post this picture and his comment on the internet because he is a teen? Do you have any concept of right vs wrong? You post a lot of maybe this and maybe that. Maybe he took the collar off, maybe it is his own dog, and maybe you are the guy who shot the dog.

      @spfoam1,

I didn’t say what he did was a good idea. I am not trying to justify his putting it on facebook, I am only trying to understand the motive behind his doing it. This story is also a lesson for parents. Keep your kids off facebook because they may do something stupid and you might end up getting death threats. If it was my kid, he would be in a LOT of trouble and would no longer have access to electronics. My pointing out that he is a teen is just to point out that teens do stupid things… a lot.

I agree there are A LOT of “maybes”! That is my whole point! Many people are making judgments without any facts. PEOPLE ARE MAKING DEATH THREATS AGAINST HIS FAMILY! I am just trying to show that there are other possibilities that we are unaware of and jumping to conclusions and wanting to execute the teen is not helping anyone.
