TSA Reportedly Detains Wheelchair Bound 3 Year Old, Orders Parents Not to Videotape Pat Down

The Transportation Security Administration is once again under fire, this time for allegedly detaining a wheelchair-bound 3-year-old girl, taking away her stuffed doll and ordering the girl’s parents not to videotape TSA agents patting her down.

The girl’s father, Nathan Forck, told Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes that the TSA treated his daughter like a “criminal.”

“And by extension, they were treating us as criminals,” he added.

The incident reportedly occurred at Lambert-St. Louis Airport on Feb. 9. Forck, his wife and their three kids were on their way to Disney World for a family vacation when the trip took an ugly turn. TSA agents reportedly pulled Lucy aside for additional security screening, despite the fact that she was 3-years-old and bound to a wheel chair due to Spina bifida.

“They specifically told me that they were singling her out for this special treatment because she’s in a wheelchair,” Forck told Fox News. “They are specifically singling out disabled people for this special scrutiny. It’s rather offensive to me as a father of a disabled child.”

A TSA agent told the family that they needed to pat down Lucy and swab her wheelchair. The family had already made it through a security checkpoint by this time. Forck’s wife, Annie, pulled out her camera and began filming the incident, which agents told her was “illegal.”

“You can’t touch my daughter unless I record it,” she can be heard telling an agent in the video. Forck then asked an agent to “cite the law” that says they can’t videotape them.

After refusing to stop filming agents patting down her 3-year-old child, the Forck family was soon reportedly surrounded by TSA agents, with one guarding Lucy personally.

That’s when the “alarm bells” really started going off for Forck, who is an attorney and knew it was perfectly legal to videotape the TSA agents.

“It’s your worst nightmare,” he said. “It’s bad enough they are demanding they want to pat down my child and didn’t want me to videotape it.”

  I won’t fly because of these horrid drones. What they did to this child is criminal. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. They don’t pat down people in Tel Aviv. The TSA is nothing more than the first slap in our FREE AMERICAN FACES. Instead of profiling which is the only way to spot a terrorist on an airplane and using common sense, that Lesbian HLS broad and her equally progressive, inhumane demons take out their hatred for all things decent, Patriotic and the core of America..our families. THESE GHOULS have not stopped one terrorist. They have not made our airplanes more safe. They have all but destroyed our sense of being able to move around freely. THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO…demoralize AMERICANS. B-tards.   I live and fly out of St Louis and the TSA here is doing some really screwy stuff. They have you over a barrel cause you need to fly and they just prey on people. It is time for the people to stand up and tell the government we don’t need the TSA any more. Try hijacking a plane these days, the passengers will kill you. The TSA needs to be shut down. I’m trying to limit flying and so should everybody else. Just drive. Time To PROTEST. I blame G W Bush for this.

  I’ve said numerous times that I have a disabled adult. He’s Down Syndrome and autistic. I have always taught him that no one touches his privates except a doctor or us (though I haven’t had to since I had to shower him at age 12 – he’s almost 23 now). I can not imagine how he would react if a man touched his “jimmy’s) in public. He’d end up tazed and on the ground. He’s very strong. There would be NO WAY anyone would pat him down without me videoing it….

  I stopped flying commercially also. I am fortunate enough to own my own plane. I stopped after Continental Airlines singled me out because an alarm clock I was carrying had a phosphorus dial that set off their bomb sniffer. Although they figured out what it was after thirty minutes of rummaging (I told them it had to be the clock, but they continuously refuted my explanation), they then put me on their computer watch list. Every time I flew with Continental or Northwest (same computer system), I would be singled out for a search upon checking in and another search just before getting on the plane. I actually changed companies because the former required me to fly one to three times a week, and I have not flown commercial since.

  I fly a good bit. I remember one trip last year after flying in from Beijing to Newark after a fourteen hour flight. We got in late and had to still go through immigration. It was obvious that it was the end of the shift and with Union Rules prevailing instead of a dozen lanes being open we were all herded into two lanes by a very loud and obnoxious black woman. The two guy left to process us were not happy and it came out in spades when you got to their both. I was treated better in China.

  I drive thousands of miles to avoid flying. I will not fly if I can avoid it. It is the stupidest thing I have ever seen there is no common sense. I am sure there is rampant PC in the hiring process. No humanity here. This should be run by private companies so that the people get shown some respect. I hate this.   For those of you who say, “Stop Flying” It’s more complicated than that.
  
  About 70% of passengers flying aren’t flying to Grandma’s house, or going to Disney Land. They’re going to assure a big client in Tampa that their money is safe, or they’re going to check on a new branch they just opened up in Albuquerque.
  
  So when you say “Stop Flying” what you’re really saying is you have to stop working.
  
  The solution is to be smart about security, rather than risk offending this or that group. Take a page from Israel’s airport security. They know their enemy intimately, and act accordingly.
  
  Watching six young Middle Eastern men breeze through, followed by a 15 minute pat down that’s damned near a body cavity search on an 83 year old incontinent Grandma where her Depends are searched for liquid explosives…or interrogating a 5 year old on why he’s talking about Aliens blowing up planes…is mind numbingly STUPID!
  
  The people that control the TSA are our leaders. It is them that should be held accountable.

  Ranger, this is the problem I have with “capitalists”. I use that in quotes for a reason. They are too busy working to make a buck while the country goes in the sh!tter. For decades, the left hit the streets for their causes and the excuses I get from the right is “they don’t have time for that stuff. They have jobs.” Meanwhile, Marxism has slowly crept in and business has been regulated to the point where you won’t have those jobs much longer. I refuse to fly unless it’s an emergency and I haven’t had any yet. But you go on and work those jobs and make that money while you can and keep silent with your actions. Maybe spew about it on Beck’s website. Because the left is shutting you guys down with each passing day and I don’t feel the least bit sorry for them.

  I agree with BryanB 100%. Stop flying for a week or two and the TSA will vanish. It will hurt the airlines terribly, but they seem to be continuing the abuse once you get on the aircraft. Look at a flight attendant wrong and they divert the plane for any little reason and you are arrested.

  This video makes me ill, they could have went about things a lot differently, instead they traumatize the little girl! Do you have to have any training or education to this job? The ones I have seen seam to be nothing more than thugs with badges! How about our useless politicians get off their collective asses and stand up for the AMERICAN people, you know the ones you were elected to serve! Close the damn borders like it should have been a long time ago! If you are here illegally you should go home and start allover legally-NO AMNESTY!   That is why the TSA agent state that they cannot say what they are checking for. That is why they will rub the detector all over the chair. No this family will have in their Government file that one of their children were suspected of sexual abuse. This mother was too accommodating and calm. I would not have been calm with these people if it were my kids. I would have encouraged by little girl to cry louder.
  
  If you object, TSA will attempt to entrap you in a crime to get even. They are doing what the police are not allowed to do. We got here with people who let the TSA get away with grouping their kids right in front of them.

  This is why flying General Aviation is worth the extra cost. I would rather drive across the country than submit to these government thugs and the rules that they make up whenever they want because they know they have people over a barrel. They are no better than the highwaymen of history.
  
  If you can afford it, charter a small General Aviation plane. No stinking TSA, you can carry your guns, your food, your drink, your pets, & whatever you want with you. You walk out to the plane, throw in your gear, get onboard, & go. Like renting a limo compared to riding an overcrowded bus.

  That mother needs to be commended for the way she stayed controlled and dignified. If it had been me I probably would’ve lost it and been arrested. Who are these people, what country is this, and what is happening to humanity? I cannot believe that precious little girl was put through that ordeal, her mother had the sensitivity to keep things calm or it would’ve been a lot worse for the little girl. I want to run to the hills, away from this insanity, it gets worse everyday. Everything is so extreme and so unbelievable…I don’t have the words. God bless that family and I hope they had a good time at Disney World. The TSA apology was as heartfelt as a rock by the side of the road…they deserve all the bad publicity this will bring, hopefully it will bring some sense of decency back to what the job really is about, it’s not about abusing your power so you can interrogate innocent children. They need some classes on where the line in the sand is. Good grief they want to take away our rights to defend ourselves, and now they want to pat down children without a parents consent or right to film it. Nothing is sacred anymore. God help us.

They are uneducated, ill prepared and poorly trained morons with the intellect and temperament of the Obamaphone cow. A collection of them would resemble an Obama rally in Chitcago (spelling intentional). I haven’t flown for 4 years now and may never fly again.   I doubt it’s a terrorism thing. It’s more likely they’ve had a problem with somebody using the disabled as drug mules. You could fit a lot of smack in the metal tubing of a wheelchair, and people with disabilities sometimes have convenient spaces where the rest of us would have limbs or organs.

Was there a political organization taking that flight that would lend itself to the idea that a politically motivated killer might pose a threat to those on the flight? The reality is that terrorists, who have killed 3000+ civilians in this country were ALL Islamic fundamentalists. The shoe bomber also was. The underwear bomber also was. The attack on the USS Cole was. The attack on the Benghazi was (after at least a day-long casing of the building, which our Ambassador was aware of but failed to receive assistance in protecting) The original plot to destroy the trade center was. In short over the last 15 years the VAST majority of terrorist attacks on US citizens have come at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists.   I have a similar story. My autistic son was ordered into a room because he had a VP shunt. He was so frightened that he began to shake. He thought he had done something wrong. I was furious! If I could have shot laser beams out of my eyes, those TSA agents would have burned! I kept thinking of Nazi Germany. If we had never emerged from that room, who would have ever know what had happened to us?!!!!…I am so disgusted by the treatment of the disabled by the TSA! This fascist government has got to go!

By the way, you do know that an independent rating agency found fox to be actually slightly to the left of center in its reporting.   You also mention some apocryphal scenario where nuns told you about future control of the earth by the Catholic church…once again what New Testament scripture can you base that on?

*In Washington State, on your ballot, if you change your mind, or make a mistake, you can simply cross out your choice and choose another. So, I can vote, and some Democrat in the elections department can change my vote with impunity.

That is how the Democrats change the vote in Washington State, and the Democrats control the State. That’s how after “recounts” they always win. They kept “finding” uncounted ballots. Our courts, staffed by Democrat appointees, ruled that no ballot could be tied to a voter, so the ballots should be counted as there was no proof of illegitimacy.

Tammany Hall, Boss Tweed of New York: “It’s not the vote that counts, it’s the count that counts. Keep counting until we win!”

Don’t take my word for it…check it out.

Oh…don’t tell me to complain to my State representatives. I already did. It didn’t get a reply.

  Vendingdude: You make a good point. I suspect there were WMD’s there and that they may have made their way to Syria. There is no guessing about Hussein’s use of gas against the Kurds. Gas qualifies as a WMD as far as I am concerned. I don’t really fault Bush for attacking Iraq, but I don’t like the way he did it. His “let’s win the hearts and minds of our enemies” campaign wasted many American lives. How about lets kill our enemies and break all their stuff. That can be done with a relentless air and sea campaign. I thought he prosecuted the war the same way LBJ ran the Vietnam war. “Let’s consult the lawyers and diplomats before we make a move. Let’s not cross any borders we might make someone unhappy.”
  
  Then, when it came to the economy, he acted as though it took him completely by surprise. He’s the one who started all the bailouts. He threw money at the problem when he should have let the markets work. I am afraid that in the end George W. Bush showed himself to be a Progressive at heart. There were certain things I admired about the man, but he set us up for a guy like Obama and that means he was instrumental in what looks from here like the destruction of America.

They came to the bargaining table and signed a cease-fire nearly the same as that signed by the North Koreans two decades earlier after suffering 1.1 MILLION combat casualties (which the Hanoi govt confirmed to a French newspaper in 1991 if I remember correctly). The political climate favored that cease-fire as at the time neither the Chinese nor Russia was enthusiastic about continued aid.
  The North Vietnamese, after a turn about in Chinese opinion, crossed into South Vietnam a year AFTER we had completely drawn down our forces!

Friggin perverts. I can understand the search, but their suspicious and combative behavior is freaking out the kid. The kid has no idea what was going on. They ARE in fact being treated like criminals. Why not one of the parents first, then the kid passes, then the other parent, then the reasonable search of the child, then the chair and accessories?
The TSA can’t even catch someone playing off as an employee lurking their way into sensitive areas.. Why is that?

We went to Florida this year for Christmas… TSA was a big factor. We have little kids and, all too often, read stories about the TSA abusing children… NOT MINE!
