‘Killing Jesus’: Bill O’Reilly to Pen New Book About Jesus Christ’s Murder

After selling millions of books about the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly is turning to the most famous killing of all — the murder of Jesus Christ.
It’s confirmed that O’Reilly’s third book in his popular “killing” series, “Killing Jesus: A History,” will be released on Sept. 24. Publisher Henry Holt and Co. announced Wednesday night that O’Reilly will collaborate on the book with Martin Dugard, his co-author for “Killing Lincoln” and “Killing Kennedy.”
According to a release put out by Holt, the book will explore the political and historical events that led to Jesus’ death. The Christian savior’s legacy and continued popularity is what helped lead the project to fruition, as the man who purportedly gave his life for the sins of humanity continues to have a prominent presence in contemporary society.
“Jesus Christ has not walked among us physically for more than 2,000 years, yet his presence today is felt the world over and his spirit is worshipped by more than 2.2 billion people,” O’Reilly said in a statement announcing the book. “His teachings, his legacy, his life as a flesh-and-blood man and his death created the world in which we live.”
Stephen Rubin, president of Holt, added, “It is inarguable that Jesus was the most influential man to have ever lived. I can think of no one better than Bill O’Reilly to write this story in a way that has never been told before.”
O’Reilly has written or co-written several best-sellers, including “Pinheads and Patriots” and “A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity.” While “Killing Lincoln” has already been made into a television movie, “Killing Kennedy” has also been optioned for film adaptation.

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 1:38amApril 3, 1971: As the one who was here before said unto thee, “I should baptize of water until thy see the one who should baptize of the soul and spirit, and the Holy Spirit of our Father should come into thee, and therefore, thy shall be baptized then with the Holy Spirit.
And as your one known as Jesus Christ did say before unto thee, “Tear down your temple, and I shall build it again within three days.” And he was asked, should he be the king of Israel? And he said, the kingdom into which he should follow should be the kingdom of his Father. And thus, within three days, he should rebuild this kingdom. And thus, he did do, for he rebuilt the temple of man within three days and, as you would say, it was resurrected.
He said unto you, “I have come not to take away the Law, but to show you justly how it should be interpreted.” [See John 1:15-34, 2:16-22, 12:12-16, and 7:9-31.]
Now there have been many who have misinterpreted these words. They have changed them around to suit their own need. And we say unto you, our Father did give you free choice, free choice to be born again upon your earth plane, free choice to lie in nothingness upon your earth plane, or the choice to build in God’s temple. He did not give you choice to change and twist His words to seek thy own need. For did not the one known as Jesus Christ say unto Peter, when he spoke thus of [all]…that after his death would come one again?

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 1:20amHopefully he won’t have too many mistakes. It’s not confidence -inducing that his opening statement neglects the fact that 31 A.D. wasn’t more than 2,000 years ago.

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 12:18amJesus did not die, and he was not crucified. It was made to appear as such and those who say different are full of doubt. They have no certain knowledge. They only follow conjecture, fiction, guess work, for of a surety, Jesus did not die!

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 7:55pmIs he also “killing ratings”? How is that show doing? I’ve lost some respect for him and hesitated on buying Killing Lincoln because O’Reilly can’t get the three fifths clause correct. He agress with Al Sharpton’s propagandist explanation! He said that it says slaves are 3/5 of a man when it actually says that they will only count 3/5 of persons not free for representation and tax purposes. It was the 3/5 COMPROMISE because it kept the union together with the agreement being that as long as the slaves were not free, the slaving holding state would have less representatives in Congress. If they free the slaves, all of them would be counted as free citizens, which would mean that the state would get additional representatives/votes in The House… Just READ IT!

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 5:27pmAnother pontification by the great O’Reilly. Like he would be knowledgeable on the subject. Next thing you know he will write a book on how to be a RINO. The only thing he knows about is taking the pieces of gold or drinking the chalice of kool-aid. What a loser.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 4:12pmIf he strictly explores the historical Jesus and the context of the times…plus the sadistic pathology of crucifixion…it will should be a good read. Killing Lincoln was amazing…as was the Nat Geo movie. History at it’s finest. I’m not a big O’Reilly fan…but he did teach High School history.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 2:06pmTwo politics NEVER to be discussed. Religion and Politics. Here the Blaze tackles both. And the anti-God wing nuts come out of the woodwork. If you do not believe, good on you. Why do you feel the need to try to berate others that do? It takes just as much effort to disbelieve than it does to believe. So ultimately, what’s your point? Focus on the book and the author instead of trying to irritate those with a soul.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 2:02pmI think the book about the death of Jesus Christ was already written. It’s called The Bible and it was written by God, through men. I believe He probably knows a lot more than Bill O’Reilly, so I’ll pass on Bill’s book.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:52pmI know there is a more accurate book out there that “O’Really?” cannot re-write. It’s called the BIBLE. There’s a good movie as well, called the Passion of the Christ. I hope Ted Baxter doesn’t go all killing muhammad too, unless it will be ILLUSTRATED! I dare him!

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:43pmI bought 2 copies of Killing Lincoln, but I can no longer support O’Reilly. His views are dangerous because he does not believe the long term goals of the administration are confiscation of all firearms.
“The second thing you do is, if you buy a gun, you have to register the gun — just like you have to register your car, alright. Now, people say ‘Oh, slippery slope, they’re gonna come–. Hey, this makes it easier for the government to take a thug who has a gun that’s not registered and put him in jail for 10 years.”

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:02pmThe story of Jesus Nazareth is one of the most absurd, unbelievable and morally questionable mythology in human history. Let me get this straight, those of you who are Christians believe that god had to send himself (or another, depending upon your view of Jesus divinity/relationship to god) to Earth in human form to be a sacrifice TO himself, to create a loophole in rules CREATED by HIMSELF…and you ACTUALLY believe this **** happened? WHY?! The Hellenistic pantheon is more plausible than your mythology.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 12:53pmRevelation tells us that The Lamb of God (Jesus) was slain before the foundation of the earth. I think it’s great Bill is writing the book. Love him or hate him, he will bring a lot of attention to the most important historical event in human history. For that, I’m grateful. Hopefully it is an accurate account. But if not everyone who reads it has the same access to the Bible as Bill does and can search it out for themselves. There’s over 100 accounts in the Old Testament that speak of Jesus birth, life, death and resurrection. There are over 300 accounts of his return. By far the most covered topic in the New Testament. Hopefully Bill will stick to Biblical fact and not try to torture the Word of God.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 12:08pmI am a staunch conservative, but I personally think Bill O’Reilly is a pompous, self-sanctimonious gasbag.
After watching him (attempt) to defend Christianity on one show, it’s clear he is absolutely the last person who should be lecturing anyone on anything Biblical – he’s obviously never read it.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 10:58amIf you think Jesus was killed or murdered, then you miss the point. Jesus did die. True, the religious leaders did try to kill Jesus using the Romans as their tool. However before Jesus died from crucifixion, He died the death of sinners which scripture calls the Second Death. This is NOT a minor distinction saying ‘what is the difference?—dead is dead.’ If you think Jesus was murdered or killed, and you think that He died the death of sinners, then you HAVE to come to the logical conclusion that God will murder or kill His unrepentant, sinful children in the end. If you believe that, then you have bought into Satan’s picture of God. Conversely, Jesus said while hanging on the cross ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ Mark 15:34. He did not say ‘why are you killing or murdering or punishing me.’ The cross shows two different character and natures; 1) Satan’s who will torture, murder, kill and punish you if you don’t worship him; or 2) God’s who will simply let us reap the natural results of our choices and die for there is no life apart from God. God did NOT nail Jesus to the cross, people acting under a false picture of God did! God does not have to do a thing to us if we remain in our sins. Look at Gethsemane. Jesus fell dying to the ground becoming sin, though He knew no sin, and God was not laying a finger on Jesus. All God has to do is watch us die a very unnecessary and a very preventable death, but we refuse to go to the lifegiver and be h
