Obama: Only Thing Keeping GOP Together Is Its Love Of Helping Rich People
President Obama during a discussion Thursday with MSNBC host Al Sharpton said that the only thing holding an otherwise deeply divided Republican Party together is its love of helping the rich, according to POLITICO.
“My sense is that their basic view is that nothing is important enough to raise taxes on wealthy individuals or corporations, and they would rather see [billions in sequester cuts to social programs]… That’s the thing that binds their party together at this point,” the president said, referring to the spending cuts scheduled to take effect March 1.
The president continued, claiming “75 percent” of Americans supports his so-called “balanced approach.” He later attacked Republicans for saying there need to be more spending cuts, stating that their arguments are bogus.
“[H]e went on to joke with Sharpton, a former Democratic problem child who is now one of Obama’s staunchest supporters,” POLITICO’s Glenn Thrush notes, “recalling their relative positions on the roster of speakers during Rosa Parks’ memorial service in 2005.”
“I was second from last on the speaking list and you were in the top five… that showed our relative positions,” the president laughed.
A remark undignified, disgusting, & beneath his office.

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 6:25amRush Limbaugh always says whatever Democrats accuse Republicans of doing, they are guilty of?
Rush Limbaugh’s Cigar Puffing,
said go ahead laugh, let me tell you something,
they always tell you who they fear,
what they really want is to have a beer,
but they have to practice hard and true,
every day, with a teleprompter too,
you see they don’t believe their own words,
unless they think you’ll swerve,
away from the US Constitution,
away from civil rights won by a revolution,
away from common sense for pretense,
meanwhile they writing checks with no finesse,
now you’ve got a debt what a mess,
at the end of the day, they say God bless,
oh wait no they don’t, they took a vote,
in their election convention, they thought retention,
of marriage and God, and more to mention,
a fascination with illegal immigration,
the House, repealed, Obama Care,
to this day, the vote is no where,
so what was that thing, that they made you swear,
to defend, promote, honor and defend,
so Help you God, his blessing send,
but no no no, you said to be,
fundamentally change America you see,
now you’ve got Walmart scared,
profits to be found no where,
more on food stamps, every day,
lets tax the rich some more you say,
but not touch spending for rich fat cats,
cuz you know who voted Democrat,
sometimes once, or twice, or more,
whats up with that?
well, you can huss and fuss,
you can put and plead,
but you got to read theBlaze,
to see blogs like these?

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 1:44amseems our little soical path isn’t playing to nice when things don’t go his way. I sure hope Bahner doesn’t cave like he has all the other time we get down to the so called wire. cuts need to happen. our goverment is way over bloated, it is time to reign in the spending, how about cutting the EPA, or reversethe massive hiring at the IRS, or lay off 42 czars, or roll all the sweetheart retirement packages back into social security, and give all serving in Washington the same insurance as our military, How about cutting back on these expensive vacations, or defunding useless committees that have been formed to over see a new regulation or policy that has been implimented. how about taking all the presidents illegal campaign donations from over seas and putting that money back onto the national debt. How about defuning or sending money to nations that want to harm us or Isreal. How about dropping frivilous lawsuits agains states that have the audacity to defend their borders when the fedral goverment won’t. and the big one. how about defunding Obama care. that will shave a trillion or so off of the debt.

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 12:57amIt occurs to me, that some of you think I am bashing the rich. Obviously, what we have here is a failure to communicate. We absolutely need success in all its forms if we are going to get out of this mess.
What I am trying (poorly apparently) to point out is that when Obama asks the rich to “pay their fair share” this will only serve to increase taxes on the poor and middle classes that he claims to care about, because that is the bottom of the fish tank where the sediment always gathers.
If you would like further information, study trickle-down economics, particularly the works of Milton Friedman and Arthur Laffer.
In other words, the Republicans need to change their messaging (like I did) to show the lower and middle classes how making big oil pay their fair share is actually sending the lower and middle classes themselves more quickly to the poor farm, while big oil seems to still be big, if not even bigger.

He has no room talking about rich people. He has helped them in a lot of ways and bailed out the ultra-rich bankers to the tune of billions. When he talks of raising taxes on the rich, the rich know he is giving them a billion and making them pay a dollar extra back. If he was so terrible to the ultra-rich why did most of them back him in the last election. He talked about the riches of Romney when he had richer people doing his bidding.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 10:03pmThe Democrats have made it clear they do NOT represent the rich people of the country but they have also made it clear that they will tax them as much as they can possibly get away with. Is that not the exact definition of “taxation without representation”? Is that not what caused the Revolutionary War? If we do not learn history we are doomed to repeat it!

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 11:32pmNo, that is not the meaning of taxation without representation. They do have “representation”…just not from the people they wanted to win the vote.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 9:54pmCan we really afford more national debt and devaluation? Democrats seem to have no problem with not having a budget, not living within our means and increasing the national debt. I tried Obama’s financial plan and got into real trouble. I made my household budget for 2011 at $48,000.00. Our household take home pay was $36,000. So we tried to get an additional $12,000 on our only remaining credit card (we only owe $130,000 on the credit card) They turned us down. We asked them to raise our limit. Again they turned us down. So we did what Obama does but instead of printing more money we just used a computer and software to make more. It’s working so far.

How bout sending some of that wealth this way mr. president ,so we can buy gas to get to work and earn more money to pay your taxes, or was it all just a big lie five years ago.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 11:37pmSharing the wealth means paying your fair share of taxes — it doesn’t mean sharing your taxed income with strangers instead of taking vacation. Sounds like your real issue is with the people who make millions who don’t pay income taxes but rather pay lower capital gains.

7. 7.
where are the statutes that create a
specific
liability for federal income taxes?
answer:
section 1 of the internal revenue code (“irc”)
contains no provisions creating a specific liability for taxes imposed by subtitle a. aside from the statutes which applyonly to federal government employees, pursuant to the public salary tax act, the onlyother statutes that create a specific liability for federal income taxes are those itemized in the definition of “withholding agent” at irc section7701(a)(16). for example, see irc section1461. a separate liability statute for “employment” taxes imposed by subtitle c is found at irc section3403.
after a worker authorizes a payroll officer to withhold taxes, typically by completing form w-4, the payroll officer then becomes a withholding agent who is legally and specifically liable for payment of all taxes withheld from that worker’s paycheck. until such time as those taxes are paid in full into the treasury of the united states, the withholding agent is the only party who is legallyliable for those taxes, not the worker.
see irc section7809
(“treasury of the united states”).
IF the worker opts instead to complete a withholding
exemption certificate, consistent with irc section3402(n),
the payroll officer is not thereby authorized to

in this latter situation, there is absolutely no liability for the worker or for the payroll officer;
in other words, there is no liability

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 8:27pmObama’s policies create poor, dependent wards of the state. All of his economic policies are without merit, and he has no experience in the areas of working at a job, creating a business or creating wealth (other than out of thin air as the presses run at the Treasury). He creates poor people to grow his base of supporters who want wealthy people to give more money (through his social programs) to support the poor as he creates more of them. What a complete imbecile.
