Obama Web Site Invokes Teen’s Tragic Loss to Urge Americans to Share Their Stories About Gun Violence
On Wednesday, Organizing for Action, the non-profit organization set up as the successor to President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, sent an e-mail to supporters with a subject line that read, “I’m doing this for my dad.”
Inside, recipients found a note from a teenager named Sami Rahamim. The young man shared the details of his father’s tragic shooting death last year and encouraged those reading the letter to submit their own, personal stories to the organization recapping how gun violence has impacted their lives.
Sami’s father, Reuven Rahamim, was killed last September after a disgruntled ex-worker came into the business he founded and murdered six workers (including Rahamim). Since the incident, his son has become an advocate, speaking out fervently about gun violence. Sami’s work has captured the attention of the Obama camp, as he is being invoked to help in the president’s push for increased gun control.

A screen shot from BarackObama.com
“I’m honoring his memory — and those of many others who have fallen — by doing something about gun violence,” the teen’s e-mail read. “When I think of the number of lives that could have been saved by universal background checks or better access to mental health services, I simply don’t understand why Congress doesn’t act right away.”
The note calls for “sensible solutions” and “common-sense legislation.” The end goal, according to Sami, is to get “dangerous weapons out of the wrong hands.”
Readers are then taken to a link that encourages them to tell their stories.

Sami also recorded a video about his work to prevent gun violence:
A collection of submitted stories is presented on Obama’s web site, with the tragic details of lives lost to gun crime presented in full; Sami’s story is among the many shown.
From a woman describing the pain resulting from her son’s injuries at Virginia Tech to another story about a young boy who was killed during an armed robbery in Detroit, the stories certainly tug at Americans’ heart strings. Even those who have never personally experienced gun violence have shared their stories.
“I’m an Ohio high school student, and while I don’t believe gun control is the ultimate solution to stopping gun violence, it is certainly our best bet to begin stepping in the right direction,” wrote one individual.
Another added, “I have never directly experienced gun violence on a personal level but hear far too often of people who have been adversely affected by the proliferation of guns in our society.”

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 3:51pmWhen I was born, the good Lord gave me a body, to temporarily contain my soul for the duration of my life. As care taker of this vessel, I don’t smoke, or drink. I try to eat well in most cases. However, since this body is on loan to be by the Almighty, I have an implied duty to guard it from danger, or being killed before God’s plan for me is through. With this in mind, I have a God given right to use ANY means necessary to protect that which has been intrusted to me. The founding fathers knew this simple truth and gave us the Second Amendment to insure we would always be afforded this right, especially in the event our country should fall to tyrannical rule from an enemy within, which it has.
This current battle being waged by the Marxists and their brain dead youth cult, is one which they have no intention of losing. We had better not rest for one minute while this battle rages, because if we lose this fight, it will be war ! Once they achieve their goal of gun registration and ban semi-auto weapons, we all know where it will lead. On the day they start gun confiscation in this country, you will see a second civil war kick off.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 3:35pmI shared my story, I am sure they will not publish it:
One night after putting my 6 month old son to bed and my wife and I turning in for bed ourselves I heard a loud crash at our front door that woke me and caused me to sit bolt upright. I immediately retrieved my 9mm Beretta with 15 round magazine from a small safe kept in my closet. I entered the hallway that separated our bedroom from our son’s room and my wife retrieved our sleeping infant son and returned to our room where she armed herself with a handgun that holds 14 rounds in a magazine. She then called for police on the phone and explained that we were were in immediate danger as someone was kicking in the front door.
50 minutes later police arrived. Our guns saved our lives. The police explained that the man had assaulted several people that night and was on the run looking for a place to hide out. We would have been his hostages had we had only our bare hands and bodily fluids to defend ourselves.
I can not imagine a world where someone could tell me it is moral to deny me and my wife every advantage in our defense and the defense of our child. Having enough ammunition loaded in a readily accessible magazine, to meet the needs presented by a home invasion that may involve more than one attacker, is not a privilege granted only to politicians with secret service details.
Self defense is a natural right and there is no moral authority for a government to restrict an individual from having every avail

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 4:10pmI published my story also. You are probably correct to think they will not publish our POSITIVE stories. Having said that, you just know the Obots who are running that site, are scratching their heads now, wondering why positive gun stories are outnumbering negative ones 10-1. I say, keep pounding them with the truth. Incidentally, kudos for exorcizing your right to protect your family !

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 2:25pmIt is hard to argue gun control and gun violence with people whose friends or relatives have been the victims of gun violence at the hands of criminals. However, they seem to feel that had law abiding citizens not been allowed to possess firearms, then their relatives would somehow not have been killed.
I really want to have a civil debate but in the current “PC” world, that is not going to happen. I guess the only response is to share their grief over their losses and rejoice with them than there was not any armed private citizen around to put the gunman’s life in jeapordy while he committed his crime. It seems that these liberals consider deaths that occur while waiting for the police are simply the price they must pay to assure that their neighbors don’t have any weapons either.

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 2:00pmOf course this site can contain any sort of gun violence that doesn’t result in murder, murder should be put into context. Murder is a very low probability event that has a lot to do with what community you live in.Murder is not even in the top ten leading causes of death, contrary to the kool-aid the liberals are selling. http://www.youargue.com/index.php/38murdercontext

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:58pmSomeone really needs to start a website for stories where a gun prevented becoming a victim. Problem is, is that it is hard to authenticate an account if you pull out a gun an prevent a crime. The liberals of course feed on this with their comments “How many statistics show guns helping???”

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:50pmINDOCTRINATION! “Praise for compliance – demonize if you don’t agree”.
This is over the top even for the Left and it’s GOT TO STOP! Parents: Set your kid’s down and explain exactly what Obama’s doing to them. Show them YouTube video’s about “Hitlers Youth”. Show them the available videos of the Nazi’s blowing the heads off of women and children. If your child is 4 or 5, better yet. Get to YOUR child before OBAMA does!
The Left HAD BETTER be ashamed of this type of action. If they “just go along”, they’re as filthy as Obama and Pelosi. Think of it this way PARENTS, Obama IS stripping your little son’s and daughters and playing with their bodies! Their ‘Minds’ are just as private as their sex organs, yet this Progressive Admin. is ALLOWING Obama to enter YOUR 5 year old daughters head and dictate her thought process!
Obama and this Admin. IS raping your children! It is up to YOU and your child to stop this type of molestation in it’s tracks! Flood that Obama site with hits and shut it down. Better yet, BE A PARENT and get on that site to tell Obama he is to STOP raping your child’s Mind immediately! Flood your local school Supt. and Principal with calls. MAKE them realize that this Admin. is doing worse to your child than simply “playing with their bodies”, they are “playing with” their INNOCENT MINDS!!
Pelosi, Reid, Obama, all of them have no problem raping YOUR young child!

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 1:17pmIt will not allow my story to post, keeps saying this media is not supported at this time and that my zip is invalid?? WTH. Here is what I was posting:
While undergoing a divorce my ex and I had seperated and my ex had hooked up with another person who had violent tendancies and had threatened to kill me for no reason what so ever. Late one night I was awoken from sleep by a shattering glass and a banging at my door, my dog was barking non-stop. I went down stairs to investigate and saw the side window next to the door was broken and a mans arm was reaching in trying to thro my dead bolt. Luckily he was unable to reach it and had instead decided to kick in the door. I ran for the phone but he had ripped the wires out and killed my phone. As the door was the only way in or out I was trapped and now had no way of getting help. I was afraid for my life and safety. I ran to where I kept my shotgun, I loaded it and yelled, “I got a gun, you better go away.” He yelled at me, “I’m gonna kill your black ass.” So I pointed the gun at the door and racked a round into the chamber and yelled back, “Come and try it”. Upon hearing the chu-chunk of the shotgun being racked the man yanked his arm out, kick kicking the door and the next thing I heard was screechin’ tires as he drove away at a high rate of speed. That night I became a believer in the right to bear arms to protect myself and property against those that mean to do me harm. The police could not be c

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 12:45pmThere’s a nice story from Dallas TX, a 33 year old Deyfon Pipkins , crawling into a mans window for a little after hours shopping when the elderly homeowner, had the audacity to protect his home, with a gun.
No mention if the elderly gentleman had a CC permit, but he did have the “Castel law” that permits the use of deadly force to protect your stuff.
He did and Deyfon is no more.
The Pipkins surviving family members are mad as wet hens for popping that cap on poor ole Deyfon. Just out strolling for a little evening shopping, no threat to anyone. Why if Obama had a son, it would look just like Deyfon, might even had been named Deyfon, who knows.
Although it seems Deyfon had a habit of breaking and entering and drugs, the normal stuff of a good family background, his survivors think the old guy should have warned him before stopping him.
“He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said, that is indeed true, but Deyfon will not pilfer anyone else.
I doubt our dear leader will report on Deyfon’s demise as an example of how to use a gun to save your life, or NBC will be reporting the demise of Deyfon.
I don’t think it fits their template.
