Beck Asks Democrats: ‘Do You Have the Decency to Be Embarrassed’ By Biden’s Arrogance on Gun Rights?

Glenn Beck Reacts to Joe Biden on gun control

On his radio talk show this morning, Glenn Beck expressed outrage at Vice President Joe Biden’s comment Thursday that “no law abiding citizen” should worry about infringement of their “constitutional rights,” should new gun control laws be implemented.

“Is there anybody in within the sound of my voice that is a Democrat?” Beck asked. Do you at least have the common decency to be embarrassed by [Biden]? Seriously. You may not want to come out and disagree with his policies. Do you have the decency to be embarrassed by this?”

Beck argued that “law abiding” citizens, by definition, don’t worry about their rights. “It is the criminals that worry about their constitutional rights,” he said. “I don’t think there’s a criminal that even knows about their constitutional rights until they are arrested and thrown in jail.”

Biden has emerged as the leading voice on gun control, just behind President Obama. On Thursday, speaking 10 miles from Newtown, Conn., where 20 children were shot dead, Biden admonished members of Congress to support stricter gun controls, saying “if you’re concerned about your political survival, you should be concerned about the survival of our children. And guess what? I believe the price to be paid politically will be to those who refuse to act.”

He added, “Let me say it now, in front of the press: No law abiding citizen in the United States of America has any fear that their constitutional rights would be infringed in any way. None. Zero.”

Earlier this week during an online town hall meeting, Biden told one woman she doesn’t “need an AR-15″ semi-automatic weapon for self-defense. He said anyone wanting to own a gun for protection should “buy a shotgun.”

Beck said Biden makes him feel “ashamed of my country. And I am embarrassed by it.”

In all my 7 decades I have never seen a more embarrassing example of a man let alone a VP as Biden. One gaffe after another, one embarrassing moment after another. Both him and Obama make me ashamed of my government.

  America is peculiar as far as “gun rights” at least if you have a broader perspective. Every single other wealthy, industrialized democracy in the world has far more restrictive gun rights than the US, but is there terror in those countries that they are about to become dictatorships? Japan, South Korea, the UK, the rest of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and every other Democracy in the world are about to become enslaved by their governments? Of course not. The idea is ludicrous to anybody in those countries and to anyone with a broader perspective. That paranoid fear is uniquely American.
  
  The US has the most guns per capita of any country in the world. And the highest rate of gun violence. And the answer according to the NRA? More guns. That also is a uniquely American sentiment: the answer to gun violence is more guns.
  
  You’d think it was common sense that we should have gun laws that prevent known felons, murderers, terrorists, child or wife abusers or other violent people from purchasing guns. But, according to many, if you make laws that prevent known felons from buying guns, you are restricting the freedom of honest people buy guns.
  
  This attitude is a uniquely American one of the unfortunate ways this country is exceptional.

They probably ask their wives to go check out the strange noise in the middle of the night, while they hide under the bed.   Can you show me one, just one, proposal that will stop a felon, murderer, terrorist or other violent person from buying a firearm? How is prohibiting me from buying a 20 round mag affecting them? How does stopping me from owning a rifle with a, GASP, barrel shroud, making anyone safer?
  
  If I were to lose my mind and actually want to sell one of my guns and didn’t know the person, I would want to be able to run NICS on them but Dear Leader says I can’t.

You only ask this question because you still have hope for humanity. You ask this question thinking that maybe, just maybe they cannot be this stupid.
When I hear Biden say these things I do not ask the question(s) I look for the people who agree or remain supportive in their silence. I then know who my enemies are. Enemies may be a strong word but I have no other at this time.
During the election process I debated with many Dear Leader supporters. I explained in detail what was coming. They laughed, insulted and spewed the talking points provided to them from MSM.
Oh and they still blamed Bush.
These people are from all walks of life. College professors to part time Wal Mart workers.
I bring up taxes being raised. Silent. Gas prices rising. Silent. Fourth Amendment being raped. Silent. Guns. They spew the talking points. I educate them for it is clear they know nothing about weapons.
I bring up Biden and his shotgun idiocy. They are silent.
Glenn should only ask these questions rhetorically. These people are shameless cowards who would rather be ruled then have liberty.

The dems need to move off BO and onto Hillary soon as she won’t campaign BO style and her message will be way less radical. You can see it starting now. I personally think the majority of liberals are just waiting for the right moment to ditch BO as they are only agreeing with him for political gain. Unfortunately, the damage has been done and they have a long way to go to find redemption for helping perpetrate the evil that has been inflicted on this nation. BO is becoming a caricature of himself with his arrogance and self-absorption. Expect him to become more and more distant from domestic affairs and more engaged openly but secretively on the world stage. Watch him turn a deaf ear to the dems and just use all the power he can muster to forward his global agenda. Biden is an irrelevant character in his own right. He is looking old and senile. He is still a useful tool, but probably not much longer. I think BO would truly love all guns to be banned from citizens. He won’t be able to get that yet but the gun debate is bringing out the resistance and highlighting the divide. Glenn is right to call out the reasonable, rational faction of the dem party.

The fact that these fools are allowed to talk out of their hind end is utterly galling because they know absolutely nothing. Show they babble on about “what the best weapon to defend yourself with,” or “how culture isn’t actually the problem with people using guns,” it’s the assault weapons that are used in less than 3% of all fatal gun crime.

Where a 30 year old Georgetown university student can DEMAND the tax payer pay for her “reproductive rights” and is paraded around like a Joan of Arc at the convention. And democrats still vote for Obama.
  
  I’ll ignore the ad Obama aired accusing Mitt Romney of killing a man’s wife and how democrats believed it and voted for Obama.
  
  I’ll ignore the abject ignorance of democrats who believe Obama “sympathizes with us and understands us” while the nation enjoys the highest underemployment rate since WWII and races to an irreparable debt and Obama couldn’t give a rat’s behind about it. Ask you democrat friends if they even know what the deficit is right now.
  
  I’ll ignore how insurance premiums have shot up (and predicted to go higher), employees’ hours cut, company write downs, the individual mandate tax…ad nauseum of Obamacare has hit the country like a vaudeville pie in the face and democrats still believe Obamacare works as advertised and will cost under $1trillion.

Humanity is a giant mixing pot of ideals and principles, everyone should know this. I would agree that the vast majority are just brainwashed zombies, many just happen to like more government in their lives but would not be so brainwashed to follow Obama everywhere he goes. Today I ate lunch across the street from one of our bigger gun store / shooting range.
As I sat there the parking lot was a revolving door with the lot full at all times (25 to 30 spaces). As soon as a parking space was open it would get filled.
Also the customers had no demographics (white, black, male, female, old middle age and young) were all in the mix and all came out with bags (new purchased items).

Based on that small unofficial survey I have to say that if the Federal government thinks they will just do as they please and citizens will back down, they are in total denial and have a rude awaking coming.

I have to admit it raised my spirits and made for one of the best lunches that I have had in a long time.

  Some 65 Million + back ground checks have been done. That’s about 65 million at least more firearms into the market. That doesn’t include the non-background check sales (Private seller to buyer), nor the black market. They don’t know what a market saturated in firearms actually is yet. There are millions of 30 round mags still on back order. Once all these things are out there, it will take an ocean of blood for the government to take them away.

Well there are a few who are outspoken about it from what I’ve been reading lately. Of course we’re falling for the same trap their media springs on us. Letting the most ignorant leaders of their party be the only voices heard by right leaning media. I honestly get a sense that many of them are disgusted that Biden, Pelosi, Reid, etc. are the voice of their party just as we are disgusted that Rove and pips are speaking for us.

No they don’t have the decency to be embarrassed by anything the dry drunken idiot Biden has to say about our gun rights. They’re so stupid they think congress has the authority to make a law regarding the sale and ownership of firearms. The really whacked out ones believe there shouldn’t be any guns in the US at all,they’re insane the lot of them. It just goes to show you how messed up this country is when they actually listen to a fool like Biden about our gun rights or any right for that matter. Government didn’t give us any rights so they can’t take them away,I don’t care how many ‘gun laws’ the intellectually inferior lifetime politicians come up with they can’t take any of our rights away.

  I think that “conservative” atheists, libertarians, Tea Party and religious denominations need to come together in a big SECRET meeting, set aside the differences and focus and restoring the individual, reason, morality and American exceptionalism.. We need a coalition to fight this ideological war or these suicidal Collectivists will destroy all of us..
