As the automatic spending cuts (i.e. the sequester) set to take effect on March 1 quickly approach and Washington, D.C., ratchets up its hand-wringing doomsday rhetoric, we wondered: What else could be added to the drama?

How about a Super PAC ad?

Good news, everyone! Crossroads GPS has got us covered:

“The sequester is Obama’s mess. Don’t help him clean it up,” reads the video’s description.

Well, the president did play a role in this political soap opera, but he wasn’t alone:

I don’t know if Bohner was played as much as he and Obama share philosophies.

My guess is your comment was framed to inflame Blaze regulars. Some will be inflamed, those who are Nationalist Progressives (Verce is an Internationalist Progressive), but those of us who are more inclined toward the Tea Party couldn’t care less if you trash Bohner and the rest of the establishment.

Those guys all wanted this. In fact, that’s the very hand-wringing alluded to Mr. Adams. It’s more kabuki theater designed to distract the masses (or circuses if you prefer).

The legislative silliness and media hype we’re about to experience was the intended result of the deal made in ’11. Tea Partiers knew this. We all said “this just pushes the problem out into the future and will be the impetus for more State power grab”. Woah! Here we are!

Verce plays his part in the theater production by going onto message boards and trying to work people into a fervor over a non-problem. I say let it happen. Show some testicular fortitude and make the administration shut something down. He’s the one who will pay the political price.

  TONY..it’s not going to work this time. The low information voter has got video of Obama to look at where he’s threatening to veto any altering of the sequester along with fellow democrats stating clearly he created it and credible journalists saying he and Jack Lew created the sequester. This is beyond the chicago spin machine to manage.
  My guess is they will do an Alinsky..”find a target, isolate it, freeze it” and try to distract from the debacle. The sky won’t fall with the sequester. It’s not doom and gloom as old “scare tactics” Barry tried. Is the sequester a dumb idea? “you betcha” but it’s not an apocalyptic event either.
  I’m going to stick my neck out and say Boehner will call Obama’s bluff on this one. A fool’s folly perhaps but I’m hoping….

  Obama came up with the sequester, forced the GOP house to accept it or the Debt Ceiling would see the sky fall on us, it got ratified by Harry Reid’s democrat senate (they weren’t busy .. they weren’t working a budget at all) then finally went to Obama to sign off on..yet this is “Boehner owns this”.
  
  Please explain how the creation of Jack Lew and Barack Obama signed off on by Barack Obama is “Boehner owns this”. Please explain.

Obama thought he could get the Rpublicans overs a barrel by making defense cut his primary policy in the event of not raising the debt ceiling. He was basicly holding the defense budget hostage to increase the debt cieling.
The lame stream media will have to do some serious editing and non-reporting to cover up this one. But they will try their hardest of that I have no doubt.

  So tell me…how does a sequester Jack Lew and Barack Obama gave Boehner instead of well crafted and larger spending cuts, was passed in the house, then sent to Harry Reid’s senate, passed in that house, then eventually signed off on by Obama (who is on video threatening to veto any changes the GOP house makes to the sequester)…..become a liability for the GOP? Obama has been sounding like chicken little telling us the sky will fall if we don’t change the sequester. It won’t. Is the sequester a dumb idea to begin with? Of course it is but that’s the”compromise” Obama offered Boehner during the Debt Ceiling debacle which lo and behold Obama demagogued also (seeing a pattern?). I dont’ care what the polling says now…if Boehner has the stones to call Obama’s bluff the GOP will come out of this smelling like roses. Obama will be an idiot for his doom and gloom predictions along with what ever harm is caused by the sequester firmly nailed to his back. He and Jack Lew came up with it and foisted on the house to pass. Sure..Boehner could have refused but Obama was taking no “buts” remember? It was this or allow Obama to pillory the GOP for playing God with American jobs and favoring the rich guy (sound familiar?). Remember all that?
  
  I believe Boehner sent the message to Obama..no more private meetings, we do this out in the open. It’s no secret he’s had enough.

  Do you no know how to read or something? All the info you stated for the most part is true. I am not denying it avenger. Why cant you see i am 90% on the same page as you? All iam stating is regardless of the facts you laid out it is still going to be a hit to the conservatives. I agree with you. Wtf is wrong with you that you cant see that?
