Gaining Momentum: Now 44 Gun Companies Have Stopped Selling to Law Enforcement In Anti-2nd Amendment States

The list of companies that have stopped selling firearms and ammunition to law enforcement agencies in states that are restricting the Second Amendment has more than doubled since Wednesday and is more than five times larger than just one week ago. There are 44 companies on our list, with more being added as we receive notification. Here are the additions since Wednesday:

Here’s a sample of statements from some of the recent additions to the list as well as the positions of the companies that have reached out to TheBlaze directly to declare their policy shift:

Steve Adelmann of Citizen Arms shared the following from his company’s statement, made the day after New York changed its laws:

”Due to legal, ethical and moral concerns, Citizen Arms offers only those custom firearms that are legal for all lawful citizens of a given state to possess, regardless of law enforcement status. LE personnel living in states where citizens must have restrictive features will only receive like product support from Citizen Arms. We’re very appreciative of the sacrifices made by the law enforcement community but we’re even more appreciative of the right guaranteed to all law-abiding US citizens by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution: A well regulated militia, necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”.

On February 20th, as our story was hitting the web, Ronnie Barrett, the Chairman and CEO of Barrett Firearms posted his company’s position statement on their Facebook page:

Barrett’s Position Regarding the Assault on Liberty

Barrett opposes those who are illegally disarming the American public from their efficient arms and creating superior armed elitist government agencies.

Elected state officials of New York, having been sworn to protect our Constitution, have instead committed an offense against it and their citizens by stripping inalienable rights duly protected and guaranteed under th…e Second Amendment. By their deliberate and sinister actions, these officials now cause their state and local policing agencies to enforce these unconstitutional and illegal so called “laws”.

By current law, Barrett cannot be an accomplice with any lawbreaker, therefore, cannot and will not service or sell to New York government agencies. Barrett also applies this stance to the individual elected official who, as a matter of public record, has voted for or created regulation that violates the constitutional rights of their citizens. This is an expansion of our 2002 ban against the California government due to their second amendment infringements, and shall apply to any future violators.

In the course of world history there have been officials that strip inalienable rights from the people that were given to all by our Creator. Most of these officials inevitably come to trial, some do not.

Intentionally violating constitutional rights by officials that have sworn to uphold them should have severe prison sentences.

With the clear vision of horrible events in history repeating itself, all manufacturers of firearms or related equipment remaining in partnership with such violators should have a respectable fear of being found with the guilty on their day of trial.

During this era of assault on liberty, Barrett will remain steadfast in our efforts to serve law-abiding citizens of all fifty states, and stands together with you in the struggles we will fight and win.

Jeffrey Norton of Norton Firearms not only sends a message about the Second Amendment, but also reminds folks that our rights come to us from “our US Constitution and our Creator.”

Norton Firearms, Inc. is a strong defender of the US Constitution, not only the 2nd amendment. We believe that a government that restricts it Citizens from executing their Constitutional Rights is no longer a government for the people or by the people. It is our policy not to sell our products or services to any organization that tries to diminish the rights given to us by our US Constitution and our Creator. If you are a government agency with a policy of restricting our Constitutional Rights we ask that you take our tax dollars and spend it somewhere else. I am sure there is some profiteering communist foreign company that will be glad to take our dollars for their gain. We will only sell to law abiding, Citizens and those agencies that truly support and will defend The US Constitution.

Doug Prince of Evolution Weaponry told TheBlaze, “Evolution Weaponry is proud to say you can add us to that list.”

I am a US Army veteran. I received a medical discharge due to combat related injuries after 6 years of service. I am a strong believer in American veterans, the US Constitution and individual liberty. My service to this country is among my greatest accomplishments in my life to this point and I carry what I have learned from that into every endeavor I undertake.

Arizona’s Kiss Tactical’s Facebook page also carries a story about denying a California police officer’s request to purchase an AR-15.

On Saturday I refused to sell a AR-15 rifle to a police officer from California. He came into my shop and wanted to buy his duty gun in AZ because the same gun in his home state would cost him more. I told him that I would not sell him the gun even though he had his department letter saying he was able to buy it. I told him that if the gun was not legal for law abiding men and women in CA, I would not sell it to him. after he told me that “civilians don’t need them type of guns” I asked to leave my shop. as he stomped out mad.

Doublestar Corporation (which includes J&T Distributing, DoubleStar Corp., Ace Limited, and the DoubleStar Training Academy) will also be unavailable to law enforcement and government agencies in states suppressing citizen’s rights.

Effective immediately, the J&T Family of Companies will be joining other manufacturers and distributors by ceasing sales of regulated items in states that have altered the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.

There are also a host of smaller outlets taking a stand.

Witness the recent news from Old Grouch’s Military Surplus in North Carolina:

In support of our customers in the state of New York, effective today we are cancelling all orders to any state or municipal government agency customers in the New York and will accept no more. While we can’t stop the trampling of rights that is occurring there, we certainly can make sure we don’t assist in it in any way going forward.

We hope to keep this list as accurate as possible and will update it with news and additions as we receive them and can confirm their accuracy. Please forward any information directly to mopelka@theblaze.com.

Thank you for supporting the 2nd Amendment ! This theory that Police are above the law is ridiculous, For the guns makers who have yet to join this movement I urge you to stand up and be accountable and stop selling guns and ammo to cops until the lawmakers start listening to the people when they say NO GUN CONTROL IS WANTED OR NEEDED.

This is the letter I sent Smith & Wesson. I will be sending more to the other major manufacturers and ammo makers. If they could only get together and display a united front it would make quite a powerful statement.

      Dear Smith & Wesson,

I would ask that you join with other firearms manufactures in the boycott of police and politicians in the states where anti-Constitutional laws have been passed with the intent of defeating the sacred 2nd amendment and denying the people their inalienable rights to keep and bear firearms. It is absurd that our employees- the police and politicians should be better armed than their employers- We the People. And it is extremely dangerous too if history is any judge.

We must make a united stand against this intolerable attack upon our God given and Constitutionally guaranteed sacred rights. To those who are given much, much is expected. Your company and the other large gun manufactures have much to risk but also everything to lose if we lose the 2nd amendment to idiots, communists and totalitarians. A united front will all but guarantee victory and not insignificantly, shield individual companies from discrimination and harm.

      Sincerely,

The silence from the large manufacturers is deafening. Hundreds, if not thousands of people started emailing these companies more than two weeks ago.

I had my eye on two new purchases, a Ruger and a Colt, but I have come to the realization that these large companies would rather keep their Law Enforcement contracts than side with common citizens. Fine by me. I will be doing business with ONLY those companies who publicly stated that they are on the side of the people.

They would sell their own mother for a quick buck. If you notice they put high demand items up for auction only, doing a disservice to their customers and squeezing every dime out of them as possible.

Even if you do not own a gun you need to know this. I checked this out on “Truth or Fiction” who verified it. I trust them more than Snopes. Marlin Firearms is already closing its doors! They are doing it to us, America! This needs to be spread to all gun owners and sportsmen. We cannot rely on the media to inform us of these types of matters. Something you may not know that Is happening … Who is buying the companies manufacturing guns??? For the last several > years a company called The Freedom Group has been buying up gun and ammunition manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster, Marlin, Remington, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people worry that this Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. If you control the manufacturers, you can decide to stop selling to civilians. What a perfect way to control guns. Now if you do some digging, you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a company called Cerberus Capital Management. Guess who controls Cerberus??? GEORGE SOROS, Obama’s chief financier!! He wants to restrict or ban all civilian guns. Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out. Why have we not heard about this in the “mainstream” media? I would think this would be BIG news. (Soros also owns Progressive Insurance). If you don’t know who George Soros is, you need to do some research. Bushmaster is owned by Remington now. The former founder and owner of Bushmaster sold the company and when Remington acquired it, they fired a large number of the former Bushmaster Employees. Bushmasters founder felt so bad about the situation he decided to start another firearm manufacturing company called “Windham Firearms” I personally bought one of their new Ar-15 .223 firearms and I’m more than pleased with quality for price. I agree, it’s wonderful to see this many manufacturers standing up for the constitution and hence, we the people, but it would be great to see some of the bigger more powerful companies do the same.
We need these principal, character, and integrity driven decisions to continue all over this nation on all levels in order to save this republic, not just the 2nd amendment. Keep fighting the good fight my friends

I know longer do business with any Anti-American Company, City, or State. This is not just about the 2nd Amendment, this is about the United States Constitution, and State’s Sovereignty.

If you roll over and allow This Administration to take the 2nd Amendment away, then which Amendment is next: 1st: Freedom of speech, religion, and press – right to assemble and petition the government. The 5th: RIght to due process. The 10th: Limits the power of the federal government by congress. The 12th: revised presidential election procedures. The 13th: Abolishes Slavery and involuntary servitude. I ask you: When will it end?

“The Eyes of all our Countrymen are now upon us, and we shall have their blessings, and praises, if happily we are the instruments of saving them from the Tyranny mediated against them. Let us therefore animate and encourage each other, and show the whole world, that a free man contending for Liberty on his own ground is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth.” — George Washington, 1776

Glock, Sig Sauer, Beretta and Heckler & Koch are all foreign owned companies, and they are never going to sign on to this. Why should they? It’s none of their business if the crazy Americans refuse to admit that having different gun laws in each state is idiotic and can never work. Since the big European armorers are the ones who make the best 9 mm handguns, and nines are what most police departments favor these days, all of this hoopla is going to have exactly zero real impact.

This is the beginning of the end of the Second Amendment. I don’t see Glock, Sig Sauer, Remington, Beretta, S & W or Colt. Those who continue to arm the State will work with the States and the Washington, DC’vers to regulate these companies out of business. I hope I’m wrong…I could be wrong…I’m just a sane man trying to find my way in an insane world. It was so much easier before but then I didn’t see this coming.

I hope you’re wrong as well but I don’t think you are because like you said the big boys aren’t on board and that’s not good. All companies should act in unison on this because it shouldn’t be about gaining an advantage against your competitor, that’s fine for normal times but we aren’t living in normal times. It should be about following the constitution and not acting as an accomplice with the government in infringing on our right to bear arms.

The government controls the banks and today we see BOA telling a firearms manufacturer that they can no longer do business with them.why? The government has controlled the banks for many many years what’s changed this year? Barrack Hussein Obama is what’s changed,he doesn’t believe citizens have a constitutional right to bear arms and I know why he thinks that way he’s a Marxist POS who detests this countries founding. He’s a narcissist with a God complex,a dangerous mixture to say the least and he truly believes people are too ignorant to run their daily lives without the government providing a ‘guiding’ hand.

We need to let our congressman and senators know we won’t tolerate any further infringements on ANY of our rights. Voting progs out of power and making sure people who abide by the constitution are put in power.

I said we are living in a make-believe (illusion of) a Constitutional Republic, where people can still vote but the power of the ballot has already been stripped away from the citizenry. Having a government contract doesn’t provide for a company to engage in illegal activity because law enforcement are assumed to be exempt from laws. That wouldn’t fly in any court. The contract isn’t nullified unless they have that specific language in the contract itself. But the government cannot force them to continue supplying “illegal” weapons to the government.

I could not find the policy posted on any of their web sites. If they were proud of their stance, I think they’d have the integrity to put it up front and not just on FB. We don’t all base our lives’ on FB. I’m curious how much business any of these companies had in the past with any state or local law enforcement agency? Good keep up the good work and hopefully more companies will join in,why would these companies engage in assisting law enforcement agencies that infringe on our second amendment right? The government is arming up and buying ammo by the ton and law abiding citizens can’t even buy ammo,it almost sounds like a plan huh? We should be going on the offensive with our alleged ‘servants’ and order them to abolish ALL ‘gun laws’ since the second amendment was written, they’re ALL unconstitutional every one of them. If king Barry thinks it’s looking too bad that these companies aren’t bowing and scraping enough before him he’ll probably order his IRS pigs to audit those businesses for the next fifty years to ensure they ‘get their minds right’. Or he could simply take them over and don’t be too quick to laugh we’re dealing with a Marxist POS who has no regard for the constitution or bill of rights.
