Son Uses Father’s Gun to Defend Parents From Armed Home Intruders

Texas Son Uses Fathers Gun to Protect Parents From Armed Home Intruders

One suspect is dead after a quick-thinking 21-year-old man sprang into action and grabbed his father’s gun to fend off three armed intruders and protect his parents in Texas.

The Houston-area young man and his parents were at home baking a cake Thursday night when there was a knock on the door, KHOU-TV reported.

β€œI see a young boy and I think it is a friend of my son so I open it a little bit,” the father, who didn’t want to show his face or give his name on camera, told KHOU. β€œThese guys push and out comes two more, they push me on the ground.”

With the father down, the suspects went after the mother, telling her to get on the ground. She ran to her bedroom, where her son was already grabbing the gun from under the bed.

β€œI just hear a couple of times, boom, boom, boom,” the father said.

The son opened fire and struck one of the suspects, who died in one of the back bedrooms. The other two fled the scene, but deputies responding to the call picked up two men matching their description and took them in for questioning.

The entire attack lasted less than a minute, the family said. No charges are expected to be filed against the son, but they’re not taking any joy in the outcome.

“One young life is lost,” the father said.

Hey libs, don’t you want to join the conversation and tell us how this is our fault? How these men have a right to earn a living this way? How it could have been resolved peacefully by just giving in? Maybe, we are just misunderstanding them. Come on guys, don’t let us down now! We need the entertainment.

Wait, I thought guns were not defensive weapons. A liberal said so therefore it MUST be true, right?

Why didn’t the guy just use a pair of craft scissors? That’s what Homeland Security says should be sufficient.

How about a whistle? If it can prevent rape it should be able to fend off an armed intruder.

Buddy system? Well, I guess it only works when your buddies aren’t forced to the ground at gunpoint and they don’t happen to have their whistle, ink pen, and crafting scissors readily available.

Hmmmm…. I’m sure the family must be grateful that their weapon of “intimidation and offense” worked to defend them, eh?

See how simple this was having a gun available? Certainly better than scissors, or for a woman finding a “call box” or using a whistle……….By far better than stepping out on the balcony and shooting a shotgun into the air to “scare them off” Jill would have been under protected thanks to hubby.
Sometimes you just need a gun to stop “bad” people and I wouldn’t hesitate defending myself.

Those parents should be proud of their son. Instead of soiling himself and hiding behind the couch, like many neutered young people would do these days, he grabbed the bull by the horns and kicked its ass. Who knows what these animals would have done to these people if left unopposed. Raped? Killed? Tortured?

They ought to put the perp’s head on a stake in the public square. The good people of this country have been preyed upon too much and it’s high time we say ENOUGH!

Get a gun. Get trained. Get/stay proficient. Get your license. Carry ALWAYS. The majority of us will never encounter such a home invasion, but some of us will. When that moment comes, it’ll come fast and it’ll be violent. You have to be prepared. Never go far from your firearm.

A saying good for many occasions, like my mother telling me I’m overprotective when my children were young and protecting my children from being stolen near halloween, being watchful in parking lots who’s nearby, following or also what’s parked next to you, etc.
      Being aware and prepared.

Forget the damned “license.” I don’t need anyone’s permission to defend myself. I that is required where you live, then you don’t have a RIGHT, it is a privilege that can be denied to you. Maybe you need to consider living somewhere else.

And carry the gun ON your body. “Nearby” is relative, and can be fatal. I’m a 66 year old widow. I own my life and am the only one presponsible for that life and my safety. That’s why I carry a gun.

      Give the LEOs some credit.
They cannot know the whole stry at the outset, and if they do not ake te appropriate evidentiary steps and the case needed to go to trial (say it was friends of the son and the home invasion was fabricated after the fact) not taking the right steps would lead to calls that they weren’t doing their jobs

Clearly they figured it out; no charges will be filed.
The on did a great job… And will have to deal with the aftermath, now.

The Joe Horn shooting controversy refers to the events of November 14, 2007, in Pasadena, Texas, United States, when local resident Joe Horn shot and killed two men burglarizing his neighbor’s home. Publicized recordings of Horn’s exchange with emergency dispatch indicate that he was asked repeatedly not to interfere with the burglary because the police would soon be on hand. The shootings have resulted in debate regarding self-defense, Castle Doctrine laws, and Texas laws relating to use of deadly force to prevent or stop property crimes. The illegal alien status of the burglars has been highlighted because of the U.S. border controversy. On June 30, 2008, Joe Horn was cleared by a grand jury in the Pasadena shootings.

What a difference split seconds makes. !

This father done well in β€˜teaching his family to respect the gunβ€˜.

If the father had done all the ’proper responsible gun mantra’

I hear so much these days..

Keep your weapon …In a safe, unloaded, gunlock ,you name the PC bull.

This TOOL would have been of no use to this family, in the split second this young man had to act..

And this would have had a different outcome to this story and the family would have been just another statistic.

Lock your doors at night and send anyone you don’t Know away (except the pizza guy). Seems radical but if they insist get you gun then dial 911. They could be in trouble, but you can’t know with any certainty, if they are in trouble or it is an act to get the door open. And please if you let them in stand far enough back that if you are rushed you have time to shoot them. I tell my wife to shoot them until they stop moving. I consider this to be sage advice.

Now don’t you know Uncle Joe gives different advice. “Just take that double-barrel shotgun and walk out on the porch and fire two blasts”. Guaranteed … your shotgun is now empty and you are done with this life. If you live through it, the sheriff will cite you for unlawful discharge of a firearm … unless you are a politician.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Police arrived in under 5 minutes. He had a mix of rounds in the weapon and the police looking at the inch across hole in his door asked how that happened and his response was “Slug”.

I certainly hope that everybody up there knows what this guy is doing an puts an end to his career. He’s a carpetbagger from San Francisco anyway. That explains a lot. Has there been any word out there from Governor McCrory?
Thanks for that second like too. He certainly took them to task didn’t he? All of these departments need to have a continuing educations program. While I have seen lawyers in court let cops make fools of themselves, I have also seen cops make lawyers look like fools. Those were the guys who never stopped studying.
