Texas Son Uses Fathers Gun to Protect Parents From Armed Home Intruders

One suspect is dead after a quick-thinking 21-year-old man sprang into action and grabbed his father’s gun to fend off three armed intruders and protect his parents in Texas.

The Houston-area young man and his parents were at home baking a cake Thursday night when there was a knock on the door, KHOU-TV reported.

“I see a young boy and I think it is a friend of my son so I open it a little bit,” the father, who didn’t want to show his face or give his name on camera, told KHOU. “These guys push and out comes two more, they push me on the ground.”

With the father down, the suspects went after the mother, telling her to get on the ground. She ran to her bedroom, where her son was already grabbing the gun from under the bed.

“I just hear a couple of times, boom, boom, boom,” the father said.

The son opened fire and struck one of the suspects, who died in one of the back bedrooms. The other two fled the scene, but deputies responding to the call picked up two men matching their description and took them in for questioning.

The entire attack lasted less than a minute, the family said. No charges are expected to be filed against the son, but they’re not taking any joy in the outcome.

“One young life is lost,” the father said.

each night nail strips are put in the paths of all my doors. my wife and I know they are there. If a burgker or Crook breaks in his feet will get spiked by the mant sharp nails. This will geve me warning to get my shot gun from the closet and start blasting thriough the doors at knee height. and my windows are rigged with 120 volts of electricity to make someones day if they decide that way is an in for them. heheheeh life is great, have a nice day

Just a sort of “the rest of the story” for good old fair & balanced Barry, our deal leader, messiah and king wannabe.

We will eventually get those other two also. Once they make their little tour of duty thru the court system, they will go right back to it, they always do. If they stay here in Texas, they too will one day win the Home Invasion Lottery, grand price .9 mm of lead. Wish I knew the names, so I could track their lives. Keep killing crooks, and eventually we will run out.

Great…… Thats where I keep my non-defense purpose guns,…… In the “SAFE ZONE”….. It’s unfortunate the bad guy had to test the house safe zone……… I would have left a ball point pen in his chest and would have been blowing that whistle when the calvary arrived to make sure I used all the gun grabbers suggestions …….Maybe even painted a yellow and black stripe on the floor indicating the Safe Zone that the intruder crossed………. All stupidness aside I think it’s going to be an unfortunate burden for the young man to carry having to kill in defence of his Mother and Father……

Did the father say he heard BOOM,BOOM,BOOM?I think that is more then two shots must not have been a double barrel Biden is going to be disappointed in this young man.Who would have thunk you might need more then two warning shots if he would have shot two warning shots they would have run away according to Biden and this fine,outstanding young man would still be alive

The appropriate response, nice job son.
Consider the following,… that other young life would still be alive if he had remained in his own home and read a book or watch a movie or talked with a friend, instead he forced his way into another man’s home with nefarious intent and so there is a price to be payed for all our actions.
Good work. I only hope the outcome will be similar if God forbid this ever happens to my family.

  Hey Sensei, since you seem to consider yourself rather well educated on virtually every topic (trust me when I say when it comes to guns, you aren’t.) please attend the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Houston on the last weekend of September. The Conference is put on by the Second Amendment foundation (the guys who helped sue to insure that you are actually allowed to own a gun in DC and Chicago) and since it is free, even someone who obviously can’t afford a pair of scissors to keep from looking like a fictional TV character from the 70s can afford to attend. They even provide over $200 worth of free books on gun rights and self defense around the world.
