Update: The Latest Complete List Of Gun Makers & Sellers Saying ‘No!’ To Law Enforcement In Anti-2nd Amendment States
As we mentioned in our story on Friday, momentum appears to be building in the movement that has gun makers (and a few gun retailers) rejecting business from law enforcement agencies in states where the Second Amendment is being compromised by gun control laws.
Atop the list of states with restrictive laws:
- New York
- California
- Illinois
- Hawaii
Some of the companies that reached out to us since Friday:

Image: Climags
Arizona-based, high-capacity magazine distributor Climags – has a page that details the states with limits on the size of ammunition magazines. And the company’s “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQ) page also has this statement:
Q. Why was my Order Cancelled?
A. Typically it is because the items you ordered are not legal in either the place where it is being shipped to or your billing address. Please double check our High Capacity Laws page. We do NOT make [exceptions] for Military or Law Enforcement, if you want possess these items please get involved with your local politics. If your order is cancelled you will be issued a refund and emailed a reason for the cancellation.
Jim Sirochman of American Spirit Arms posted a video on YouTube that says, “Count us in!”
A. Scott Mangels of Next Step Tactical sent his company’s statement:

Image: Next Step Tactical
The 2nd Amendment was created to secure the ability of the citizens of the United States to protect themselves from tyranny and oppression as well as for personal protection. It is Next Step Tactical’s policy to refuse the sale of our products and services to any organization or agency that is attempting to create an arms superiority over their citizenry and diminish the God given rights the U.S. Constitution Guarantees.
But it is not just sales to law enforcement that are at risk here. Jobs are also on the line. At least one Colorado company, Magpul, has warned that the shift in that state’s laws could force an entire company to leave the state. The cost in jobs would be substantial. And CEO Doug Smith is not kidding. Here’s the ad that Magpul has been running in local papers.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 8:59amThere are about 1.2 million federal, state. and local law enforcement personnel. The US military total strength is around 1.4 million. That means the government has around 2.4 million customers total.
There are more than 2.4 million AR-15 owners in the civilian population
There are more than 2.4 million weapon owners that take 7.62x51mm (NATO).
There are more than 2.4 million weapon owners that take 9mm (NATO).
I would do my homework, it does not look as if the big government contracts will carry the day.
When the wars wind down the individual DOD branches will opt to buy high tech equipment and not individual equipment and ammunition, (please review DOD history post any war or conflict)
I would recommend that the major gun companies and ammunition companies concentrate on the civilian population that owns guns, which is around 80 to 100 million people.
Your customer base will be 40 to 50 times what the government contracts can give you.
Ammunition companies if every gun owner purchased just one box of ammunition that is 80 million x 20 rounds which equals 1,600,000 000 rounds.
Plus you will win the Moral High ground fight and than have loyal customers for generations, just like automobile and pickup truck companies.
Don”t buy a gun from them son, they where against us and freedom.
I would have all my retired military personnel who head the military sections of your companies do a COA development and a War game each COA very carefully

Sig Sauer uses a firstname.lastname@sigsauer.com email protocol best I can find. I was able to find a couple of important sounding Sig Rep’s names on the internets… Ron Cohen(CEO), Bud Fini(VP/GM), Amy Pevear(Marketing MGR), Tim Scullin(CFO). Email them! Posted on February 25, 2013 at 1:01amRight on! Thanks for sticking up for the 2nd Amendment! Without the 2nd Amendment there can be no 1st Amendment!
Before every genocide in history the fascist and Nazi Controllers disarmed their citizens!
Read Death by Government by R. J. Rummel. This will open your eyes to what governments can do to you if you are not armed and ready to defend yourself. An excerpt:
~One eleven-year old Srbian Orthodox firl was captured while her family escaped to Belgrade and taken to the Jasenovac camp. The first days our heroine passed in the camp were terrifying. No water, no shelter, no bed, no roof. she was obliged to sleep in the rain on the snow. At first she still possessed her own clothes, bu these, the Ushashi took. Without clothes and famished, she began her descent into the hell beyond Dante’s dreams. The saily “Our Father” was replaced by the formula: give us our daily beating. This child one day attended a cruel spectacle. Forty students were smothered and then burnt. Another time, the Ustashi drove a hot iron rod into a man’s head. Sometimes women were quartered, and to vary the spectacle, arms instead of legs, were torn off. There were, of course, other diversions for the Ustashi. The best of these diversions consisted of gouging out the eyes of the dying so as to make a “beautiful” collection of how the dying look. Sometimes, for a change, the Ustashi made a sort of trestle with red hot iron, and forced the children to sit on it astride.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 7:37amSorry the NRA is way too stupid to spend my money when the spokesman Marion Hammer told me its unconstitutional for a state to nullify a federal law that infringes on her citizens Constitutional rights. That is what happens when you break the Constitution in parts instead of view it as a whole. If they viewed it as a whole maybe old Marion would notice the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution.

But, when a scab was outed, he’d soon find himself with a bad reputation and unable to find good work.
I hope that when the dust settles, we all remember the manufacturers that were on the side of the PEOPLE, and those that sided with the government, in the name of profit.
I hope that manufacturers like Glock and S&W make their positions known, very soon. I will remember which side they were on.

All these large manufacturers have been getting emails, letters, calls and faxes for over two weeks now, and they simply ignore all requests.
They should know better after seeing S&W experience a 40% drop in sales after signing on with Bill Clinton during the last AWB. Gun owners have LONG memories, and are very loyal to their bands.. as long as the brand stays loyal to them.

(I hate that I can only reply to first post in a thread rather than to each individual post) Wouldn’t selling to lawbreakers constitute conspiracy? Wouldn’t this be a valid reason to not honor what could arguably be considered an illegal contract? I’m sure the leftists would handle it that way if it was in their interests. They burn fuel to produce the metal then they burn fuel to ship the billets. Inflation swamps all boats. If you don’t like the price or think they can be made cheaper, do it yourself. That is the American Spirit.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 12:31amThank you for saying this. I’m not quite sure why everyone is so happy that gun companies are not selling to police officers in blue states. I don’t know what cops have to do with this battle. Most cops I know are STRONGLY in favor of civilian gun ownership, including “assault rifles.” There is a kindred spirit there. I’m a cop, Second Amendment activist, NRA member, Arkansas concealed handgun instructor, and I have been involved in state level politics in support of “armed educator” legislation. Cops are some of the biggest gun rights supporters in the nation, in case you’ve missed that on the news lately. If you want to support doing something worthwhile, ban Democrats from owning guns. Call them out for their hypocrisy. Punish them, not cops. Democrats are the ones taking away your rights, not the police. If I were ordered tomorrow to go house-to-house to confiscate guns, I would quit and go to work doing something else. If you want to do the right thing, find out exactly why DHS has bought up all the ammo and call your representatives. Call the White House. Jam the lines. Fight the good fight, but I assure you, your fight is not with the cops or Glock, or S&W, or Sig Sauer because they keep selling guns to cops. Your fight is with liberal, progressive Democrats who are treating you all like criminals. I can promise you, if the day when they try to disarm you all, the police will not do participate. They will stand shoulder to shoulder with you.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:50amThey do need to be punished. LEOs are not elites, they are not a higher class of citizen to which exceptions are afforded. If they don’t like it, they can move out of that state or get involved and change the laws. They should not have anything we cannot have.

When these companies are restricted on selling their products on the open market in these states, not selling to law enforcement is a small percentage in comparison. So, in the long run, if they can break this impass, they stand to make a lot more money in the long run. And when you look at the Law Enforcement percentage of weapons bought, it relates only to about 15% of total sales.

They are small companys in general and local sales to local goverments will hurt them

Posted on February 24, 2013 at 10:46pmThat’s true Gyro, hopefully this stand does start to sink in and will make an impact. I actually think when companies like Remington decide to move to other states that aren’t restrictive, that is when it will start hurting these states. I for one, am doing what I can in my state of Colorado, the Dumbo Crats think they have the muscle to push these stupid laws, they will find out next year when they get swept out. Currently they have a 2 seat majority, and there are 6 highly contested seats open, I see them losing everyone of those and Hickenlooper getting booted. The libs in Denver and Boulder have enraged the rest of the state, and if these other states start waking up, they really will face a firestorm.
But then again, the eastern states have made their beds, now they can burn in them.

Posted on February 24, 2013 at 10:55pmRJJ, when the cops can’t buy ammo anymore, I wonder how long it will be until their union attacks the Laws. Probably never, but there is always hope.
