Wild Video: Chinese Gov’t Official Absolutely Loses It After Missing His Flight Twice
After twice missing his flight at Changshui airport, a Chinese government official lost his cool and took out his frustrations on the airline’s staff. The official, identified as Yan Linkun of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee, smashed computer equipment and even attempted to shatter a glass door during a fit of rage.
Ironically, Yan arrived at the airport with his wife and kids with plenty of time to spare, but a long breakfast caused them to miss their flight, authorities said. So, the airline offered to put the family on another flight leaving the same day.
However, Yan and his family ended up missing that flight as well after he reportedly failed to hear the flight’s boarding call. That’s when things went downhill.
The official demanded the airline let him board the plane even after boarding was concluded. His request was denied, causing him to become violent. Yan began smashing computer equipment at the boarding desk and even tried to shatter the glass door to the boarding gate with a sign.
His violent outburst quickly spread across the Internet and forced Yan to release a statement apologizing for the incident.
“I failed to be a qualified political adviser as well as a good father. My irrational actions and rudeness have caused some losses to the airport as well as bad effects to the public, so I sincerely apologize to the airport and public. I am willing to compensate,” the statement read.
Yan has been suspended from the Tunnan Mining Industry Company and police are currently investigating the incident, the Global Times reports.

When you’ve got a plane to catch, it’s important to arrive on time and ready. But it’s often hard to tell how long everything is going to take. That’s why we’ve created the suggested check-in requirement times for various locations below. To get a general idea of when you should arrive at the airport, add the helpful check-in times below to the current security wait time. It’s that simple.
Remember, it’s your responsibility to arrive at the airport with enough time to complete all ticketing, baggage check and security clearance procedures to arrive at the gate ready to board. If you don’t complete the check-in process by these deadlines, you won’t make your flight and change fees may apply. We don’t want that to happen, so keep these times top of mind when planning your airport arrival.
The recommended arrival time at the airport prior to departure of international flights is 3 hours.

Posted on February 26, 2013 at 11:10am3/4 or maybe 5 hours ahead of time, then take off your shoes and some of your clothes, be subjected to the “security” procedures, including a view of your naked body, just to be allowed to squeeze in a very restricted space without blankets or food for several hours… Thanks but no thanks, train or car are good enough for me.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 8:41pmAmazing. It’s his fault he missed his flight…twice, yet he destroys the airline’s computer equipment.
If you know the Police or are a government official, you can pretty much do anything including kill someone and get away with it.
So much for security or justice for that matter. Heads up America, we’re headed in this direction.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 8:21pmThis is very indicative of what happens when you have too much power…. the police stand by and do nothing as an ‘official’ from the government wrecks the desk. They feared for their jobs/lives and did nothing.

I’m not totally crazy. In my cases, I had late connections and my seats were given to stand-by passengers. Never take the last flight of the night!
