Donald Trump Blasts the Oscars (and the Year’s Biggest Films): ‘The Most Racist Movie I Have Ever Seen’
It’s no secret that mogul Donald Trump is extremely opinionated. The famed businessman is regularly featured on media sharing his perspective and views on a litany of issues. This morning was no exception when Trump appeared on “Fox & Friends” to unleash his thoughts on last night’s Oscar Awards. Aside from lambasting the overall show as “very average,” he took particular aim at “Django Unchained” and Daniel Day-Lewis’ depiction of Abraham Lincoln.
From the overall organization of the show to the set, which he called Tacky, Trump was less than enthusiastic.
“I thought they were very average. I was not impressed,” Trump said, later dubbing the event “okay at best.” “I thought some of the choices weren’t very good.”

As for “Django Unchained,” the story about a freed slave seeking revenge, he had few favorable words, calling the film, ”probably one of the most racist movies I’ve ever seen and a disgrace.”
And while millions of Americans loved the movie “Lincoln,” Trump found the film’s starring actor less-than-persuasive in fulfilling his role. In fact, he said that Day-Lewis simply wasn’t good.
“First of all, he’s not from this country. He’s had an accent that I can detect…I don’t think Lincoln had an English accent to the best of my knowledge,” he quipped. “And I said, that, you know, Lincoln never sounded like that…I just don’t think that Lincoln behaved like that.”
He concluded, “I did not think he was good in ‘Lincoln’ at all.”

All historical accounts describe Lincoln’s voice as high-pitched, alto, unpleasant, and out of synch with his personal appearance. I enjoyed the film and though Day-Lewis was outstanding and his voice very consistant throughout. If Trump hears an English accent it might be his bigoted nationalism more than his well-trained ear.

As far as Django Unchained, that is the latest attempt from the “chosen people” ran Hollywood to rile up the blacks to get a race war started. They’re up to their old tricks again.

They all fall into the same few categories and all follow the same lead. Why would I waste my evening watching the Oscars as the same few media hyped people get patted on the back?
