There Will Be Tears: U.S. Army Sgt. Returns Home After a Year in Afghanistan and Surprises Sons at School Assembly
U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Page had been away from his two sons for roughly a year serving in Afghanistan. On Tuesday of last week, Hunter Dodd and Chandler Pittman got their dad back in a tearful reunion at a school assembly.
School officials and the boys’ mother, Natasha, helped coordinate the surprise visit at each of the schools, according to the Welcome Home Blog. These videos just never, ever get old.

As to this video…WOW !! I’m glad this father made it back home to his family after serving his country in what ever fashion the Obama admin ordered. He certainly didn’t go by himself for no reason. He sacrificed his time and endangered his life in service to a higher calling for America. Anyone that doesn’t think so can go suck a rock.

The GOP specifically needs to throw the zionist traitors back to Israel where they belong. that is how you support the troops taking down their real enemies and not shipping them off to war for them.

Posted on February 26, 2013 at 1:02pmYes, true. I agree more than you know, but why can’t we take a “timeout” from politics and just appreciate a touching, warm moment that shows us what America is supposed to be about. I don’t know about you, but I hardly ever see stories ANYWHERE about a patriot being reunited with a loved one (or ones thank goodness (yes, I am agnostic…don’t think that makes me any less American…yet) after sacrificing one or more years of his life for this country. I wonder if we are too far gone now. Once in a while, when there is a “nice” story like this, it takes an alarmingly small amount of time for comments to turn right to the same old political talking points…
If we, as a “country” can’t even appreciate something as simple and beautiful as these reunions, what does that really say about the potential we have to ever become a “great” country again? Maybe that’s the problem??????

Posted on February 26, 2013 at 5:03pmAll too often, the homecoming winds up being one in which a tearful, twenty-something widow meets a grey, flag-draped shipping casket at the end of an airline conveyer belt…I am sick and tired of seeing the media in this country failing to ask the pertinent questions about just what is it that our young people are sacrificing themselves for!? Why are we giving billions–and our young men–to these 3rd world countries who hate us? What is our plan for victory and what are our troops fighting for? Why is it that Barack Obama gets away with ordering these men into quagmires and never is questioned? George W. Bush was a lousy President, as well—getting away from the Reagan-Bush I doctrine of strategically bombing, when necessary, and only putting troops on the ground when absolutely necessary….Yet, at least he cared about our servicemen, I believe. Now we find ourselves–and our troops–stuck. Now we have our fighting men bogged down with no end in sight–and a press that doesn’t talk about it–due to the fact that NOTHING is allowed to be critical of the incompetent ass in The White House…instead, they would rather focus on the glossed over, feel-good, happy stories of one of the lucky men who got to come home in one piece–and alive.

Posted on February 26, 2013 at 2:54amEvery time I see one of these reunions it brings a tear to my eye.
It stirs memories in me, of waiting with my Mother, and my Brother for my Dads permanent return from Vietnam at the end of his third tour. We were so blessed to have him back, as many others were not as fortunate. So these stories really bring me back to that moment in time.
I continue to pray for our military, and their families that they too will be reunited.
It’s such a shame that these brave, and honorable men, and women are risking their lives abroad under the guise of defending our country, while the corrupt elite are right here in our gov. trying to destroy it.
I await the day that these gov. terrorists get what they have coming to them. Whether it’s justice from We the People, or justice from God. It does my heart good to know that one day, even if I’m not here to see it, they will pay for their evil deeds.

I don’t think some people understand when we say “BRING THEM HOME!”.
It’s not just for them or their family’s but it’s also about the world as a whole. As soon as we can get our troops out of hostile countries the sooner we can start to make amends and start diplomacy with those countries.

Not when you’re working for the funeral home that has a service for one of the soldiers who came home to his son, who’d just joined the Marines, in a casket. I never knew until after that service what it’s like to not have any tears left to cry. Still, I think the one positive thing we’ve managed to change in society since Vietnam is the public’s recognition of the sacrifice our soldiers make for us.

Don’t wanna watch videos posted here DESIGNED ONLY TO MAKE the Blaze/Beck seem grateful for the return of an American soldier THEY ADVOCATED UNCONSTITUTIONALLY SENDING OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE in an UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND NEVER-ENDING “War on Terror.”
Interventionist republicans will LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH, and position NONINTERVENTIONISTS and their comments… as taking some cold-hearted swipe at the soldiers (same as they did to Ron Paul a few weeks back). But, REALITY is just the opposite. Republicans champion Americans who’ve been EXPLOITED BY OUR REPUBLICAN/DEMOCRAT GOVERNMENT AND USED AS GLOBAL POLICE. I’d rather they just stay home altogether.

If on the battlefield we see one thing that pulls our heart and forces our principles and virtues to the top, we fight because injustice must be met. A moral man in an immoral situation is at times needed whether by his country, brother or his individual need to do right within his/her given situation.

It NEVER gets old, and it is ALWAYS special. Apparently, you have NO FREAKING IDEA what it is like for service men and women to be away from their families for 6 months, 9 months, a year, or even 2 years.
Man, I was in the Navy in the early 80′s….peace time for US troops; but even then, we did 9 month deployments on my ship. I didn’t have a family then, but I saw what these deployments did to families. Its tough.
