Sen. Dianne Feinstein Tells Gun Owners Semi Automatic Rifles Are an Unnecessary Personal Pleasure

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is vowing to fight for a ban on so-called “assault weapons” no matter how long the gun control debate rages on. During an MSNBC appearance on Monday, she said semi-automatic rifles are for gun owners’ “personal pleasure” and shouldn’t trump the nation’s safety.

“We will make the case that these weapons do not belong on the streets of our cities,” Feinstein said. “I recognize it’s an uphill battle. But I also know that these events are going to continue and America has to step up. The mothers, the women, the men of America have to make a decision as to whether their personal pleasure is more important than the general welfare.”

Feinstein said that an all-out ban on semi-automatic rifles is constitutional. Anti-gun lawmakers will make their case during a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Hearing on Wednesday. Some of the witnesses include, U.S. Attorney for Colorado John Walsh, Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, according to the Washington Times.

“Grievance killers look for these weapons. These weapons are easy to obtain. There are no background checks. You can buy them out of a back of a car, at a gun show. America’s laws are virtually nonexistent and, therefore, I think this is a good bill,” she said.

“I intend to fight. I did it once before. If it doesn’t get done right now, be assured I will continue to press the case.”

Excellent!
Our States mouthpiece has declared firearms to be a “personal pleasure”.
So it’s not any thing crucial like being able to marry a goat or walk around naked in public, ’cause those are the important issues people care about, the ones set forth in the Consti…………….oh my?

Personal pleasure? sure why not, that would be covered under the Bill of Rights, I can make the case for it being in the Declaration of Independence and again under several additional clauses of the Constitution.

Dianne Feinstein obtained a concealed weapon permit in 1995 because she knew then, and she knows now, that if a madman was ever bent on trying to kill her having a gun and being able to use it would be the ONLY thing that would save her life.

I’m getting just a little bit tired of those people that have never been engaged in a fire-fight presuming to tell me what weapon(s), magazines, etc. I might need to conduct my defense. They certainly haven’t a clue. Ask any policeman that has been in a civilian fire-fight if he would like to repeat the experience with a pistol with only 7 rounds or a carbine with 10 rounds. “Oh, that’s different!” Really. In most cases the reason the police are facing an armed criminal is because a citizen has already had to face that same armed criminal, and in some cases the citizen (or a family member) may not even be around to see how it ends.

Now, I understand that Liberals in places like Chicago may be quite comfortable with that situation, and its OK if you lose a family member here or a family member there; but me… not so much. If you tell Chicago cops that they can only have 10 rounds in any of their weapons, I’m sure I’ll be able to show you a police department with no more members.

When I see this POS, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Boehner, McCain and so many other POS’s in the gov. I realize how deep this problem is. Its not them, they don’t get there without the people ……..They have the power yes but the scary thing is people actually elect these people. OVER AND OVER AGAIN, let that sink in……….Say we manage to cut the head off the snake, say we got all these people out this year. Yeah, now what……..the populace will just elect like minded folks. We’ve been invaded and overtaken, we are an occupied country and true Constitutional Americans are the minority and its only getting worse from this point on.
