Ben Carson: White House Repeatedly Asked for an Advance Copy of My Speech

Dr. Ben Carson rebuffed multiple requests from the White House for an advance copy of his speech for the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, a speech in which he criticized President Barack Obama sitting just a few feet away.
Carson told The Hill he told the White House no, because he doesn’t put his remarks on paper beforehand.
“I told them that I don’t have an advance copy because I don’t write out my speeches and I don’t use teleprompters …they asked more than once … I gave them the [Biblical] texts around which the remarks would be framed … I said read those texts, the remarks will be framed around those … that should have told them something,” Carson told The Hill.
The White House didn’t comment on Carson’s disclosure.
Carson, who staked out positions opposite Obama on taxes, debt and health care, told TheBlaze earlier this month that the president approached him after the speech and thanked him for his words.
The often verbose Vice President Joe Biden, Carson told The Hill, had little to say to him when he sat back down next to him.
“Later on, [Biden] said, ‘Nice being with you,’ ” Carson said.
The retiring pediatric neurosurgeon, who has been besieged by requests to run for political office, will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference next month.

Dr. Carson is a man of HONOR, knows right from wrong and doesn’t have to read a teleprompter to convey his message and what’s in his heart……….my, my……..how the worm turns, huh?
Usually I don’t jump on band wagons until I’ve had time to assess the situation, which didn’t take long with what kind of person the Prez was and how he was fooling all the people all the time. I can tell from Dr. Carson’s eyes and his speech, he’s a man of integrity and honor and I trust him to lead this Country, if he chooses to do this job. I copied a comment he made that makes sense:
Once upon a time, America was called the “Land of Opportunity.” It was never called the “Land of Guaranteed Success. (this describes how America was intended to be, and how it’s changed)

They will take something out of context, they will ambush him with a loaded question worded in such a way that it has no right answer, and someone else will conveniently happen to be there with a video camera, they will smear his family…. The Supreme Court found his recess appointments onconstitutional with almost every thing he has done up for judicial scrutiny. What good was his short stint as a Senator? All we know is that he railed against the very things he is doing now and voted present most of the time and did not have the guts to vote “yea” or “nea”. What good has he been as president? Massive debt, dependence on government, massive regulatory burden, massive taxes on all just not the rich, destroying capitalism, introducing socialism and extreme partisanship up the wazzoo! While not high crimes and misdemeanors, definitely should include “incompetence” as an impeachable offense.

He was a state senator and a US Senator, both of which he was rarely there for duties and did not offer any significant legislation, and to say that be was subpar is an understatement.
He was trained for street organizing and has done well at that to the profound detriment to our country. Received his training from the Rules for Radicals by a Communist by the name of Saul Alinski. Most of his other associations were by radical communists like Frank Marshall Davis who was Obama’s mentor. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, we have a communist and one beholding to the progressive elitists in our White House. He is an usurper, a liar and a deceiver and an imposter and a traitor as well. He must go.

But in reality we don’t really care about the Obama family and I doubt any religious person would want any harm to come to them…..We just want some responsibility in Gov. and when you have a ban on large Soda drinks, while you also have a BOOM in under age prostitution….Obviously you are doing something very very wrong for any women in a Blue State.

Early on Michelle starts to clap, Odummer turns slightly toward her, puts his arm back toward her signaling, “stop the clapping,” and she does (at that time, although she continues SEVERAL times through Carson’s talk. Even a “die’d in the wool” OB supporter could understand the wisdom in Dr. Carson’s positions!
Another VERY NOTICEABLE action on the part of a “ticked” OB, was the continual lifting of his head throughout the speech–I thought he’d wrench his neck trying to get his chin ABOVE Dr. Carson’s view!
A puppet and posuer against a true and honest citizen of the United States of American! Dr. Carson was raised and lives in the country he loves and serves and I support him in any step he takes to educate and serve us further!
God bless and keep him and the rest of “We the People. . . , ” who understand true Liberty!

Posted on March 6, 2013 at 5:27pmSadly this comes down to lawyers like Bill, Hillary and Obama who would like to see the decimation of corporate America so people can have their own businesses…..The fact is that it takes a whole lot of work to own your own business and I am not sure everyone in America is ready for that, and especially after they just get off of a Gov job and have to really work for a living.
I watched quite a few businesses in my small town close up due to Walmart moving into the area and I remember hating Walmart for that reason……I think this is the main laser target of Obama and always has been…Occupy Walstreet etc.
But there are some really really shady people that work with him, like Uncle Joe and others……I dont think it is very American or constitutional for him to target certain Americans because of the Freedom of Speech……and I dont think it is fair to target Christians with drone strikes like he has targeted Muslim Clerics with the same strikes.
I am not sure what the answer is but I am sure we are going to find out if the Freedom of Speech and the constitution marches on…..
Bottom line is that this man believes that religion is the cause of all wars and his plan is to erase it……But it is actually hate because someone decides to work harder than the other and the lazy one wants the fruits of someone else’s labor.

The last time my pastor asked me to give it, I had prepared words, but when I hit the microphone, I threw them out the window and winged it. It was the best one I’d given ever and moved several people that didn’t know my life story. Trust in the Lord and he will tell you the words to say.

Dr. Carson is such a class act.
When Carson was speaking, Obama looked like a guy who had just been booked into County Lock-up on a Friday night, gets introduced to Bubba and Sweeney, both Harley enthusiasts who each give him a valentine! You couldn’t have drawn a more disgusted look on Obama’s face. That 25 minute speech may be the first time that the Ayatollah Obama has had that much truth spoken in his presence in four years!

I did find this reference though (only reference to guns in the book), the context he is using in the chapter talking about nuclear issue with Iran, not specifically about guns. The chapter is about the choice of US intervention or non-intervention in the world’s affairs, knowing when we have to get involved in defense of the country, and when we should avoid conflict altogether (“Being prepared to protect ourselves does not mean endless expansion of the military budget or insinuating ourselves into every conflict around the globe.”):
“I realize that some feel that the United States and other world powers with nuclear weapons have no right to declare that others cannot have them. On the surface this seems like a fair argument, but can you imagine how many deaths would occur if everyone were given a handgun? Perhaps it would be fair to give everyone a handgun, but it certainly would not be wise. Amazing so many are asking him to run for office. It just shows how hungry Americans are for honesty, common sense, a person who loves America and all people, and wants the best for America.

Posted on February 28, 2013 at 11:35amBe careful, civilwarcometh. I made a similar comment in another Blaze article, and people jumped all over me for being a liberal hack. I loved Dr. Carson’s comments, but I agree it is way too early to beg him to run for POTUS when we know so little about him.
Perhaps the Lord is raising Dr. Carson up like He did Joseph over Egypt. We don’t really know. If so, the best thing we can do right now is to pray for him. If he turns out to be the right person, he will be up against some gargantuan political sharks who don’t care what they have to destroy him. They will lie, distort his background, and play ten-second sound bytes out of context. Suddenly, twelve women, five men, three goats and a duck will all appear out of nowhere and claim that he sexually assaulted them. He will be under heavy assault by the powers of darkness. He can’t win in that arena.
But our God is an awesome God who hung Haman on his own gallows, who had Daniel’s political opponents thrown into their own lions’ den, who turned the murder of His Son into the death of death itself. If anyone really wants to see him run for POTUS, pray for Dr. Carson.
Pray. Pray, and pray some more. He desperately needs it.

I’ll bet Obama regrets having selected Carson as speaker for the remainder of his office. He represents the polar opposite of Obama, and yet was seen on the same stage with him. What a slap in the face.
Recall during his campaign, Obama removed anyone from the crowd that did not worship him. Ooops, so much for clearing the room of those who stand for something.
