Outrageous: Boehner Blasts ICE for Releasing Hundreds of Illegals Ahead of Sequester

House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday blasted the decision by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to release hundreds of jailed illegal immigrants and blaming federal budget cuts.

“It’s very hard for me to believe that they can’t find cuts elsewhere in their agency,” Boehner (R-Ohio) told CBS News. “I frankly think this is outrageous…I can’t believe that they can’t find the kind of savings they need out of that department short of letting criminals go free.”

ICE officials said they have released “several hundred” immigrants awaiting deportation because they couldn’t afford to hold them with an expected round of spending cuts set to take effect at the end of the week.

“In order to make the best use of our limited detention resources in the current fiscal climate and to manage our detention population under current congressionally mandated levels, ICE has directed field offices to review the detained population to ensure it is in line with available funding,” agency spokeswoman Gillian Christensen said in a statement Tuesday. “As a result of this review, a number of detained aliens have been released around the country and placed on an appropriate, more cost-effective form of supervised release.”

The announcement came after Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had warned that the $85 million in cuts, known as the sequester, could affect detention policy, according to the Washington Post.

“I’m supposed to have 34,000 detention beds for immigration,” Napolitano said Monday. “How do I pay for those?”

According to the Post, ICE said it’s not dropping its immigration cases against the released detainees and that they will continue to prosecute and monitor them outside detention facilities.

“All of these individuals remain in removal proceedings. Priority for detention remains on serious criminal offenders and other individuals who pose a significant threat to public safety,” Christensen said.

The federal government knows the people they released are all criminals. They were already in custody, so the fact that they let them out into our neighborhoods rather than deport them not only suggests malicious intent, it is without question malicious intent. The federal government is now our enemy, and it could not be more obvious. This is no game. This is an evil criminal tactic that should result in impeachment and jail for many top officials in the government. This administration has no problem with killing citizens to get what they want. I couldn’t hate the federal government and those who put them in office any more than I do at this point. If you voted for Obama, I hope you and your family fall victim to the criminals that were released.

  In a way, yeah, they are rented. The overwhleming majority of bedspace utilized for housing illegal aliens is provided by the local county, city or state prison/jail. very few are housed at federal locations. The municipality is then paid by Uncle Sugah for each bed left available. Also keep in mind, not every jail meets federal standards for detention of aliens per policy.

This obviously was an unexpected icing on the cake for the Obama team. It was a needed step in the process of opening the Mexico border, and now Oby gets to vomit out “It’s the Republicans fault that YOUR “children” are now in danger from criminals being let free”. Then he’ll add, “This is a further reason we need ALL guns off the streets”.

Just wondering if we are going to be known as “Mexamerica” or “Americo”?

There IS A SPECIFIC reason why Oby and the Mexico officials are in constant contact – and WHY Mexico wants a full list of registered gun owners in America. Oby’s “immigration reform” is very simply “take down the border”. Oby’s is a product of the “It’s Just Easier” syndrom sweeping across the LAZY people of America, and it’s obviously “just easier” to open the border instead of all that pesky tracking and deporting. This IS Oby’s “new America” – and Michelle is “proud”.

Many people don’t seem to realize the meaning of “fundamental” changes. “Fundamental” means changing America from it’s base foundations and ideals, not just making some new policies. This man (said loosely) wants White – Corporate Americans to “pay back” every dime they “stole” from the Black slaves and Mexican gardeners. And he’s well on the way of making this happen. He just has to get guns out of the White Bible Thumping citizens hands, and he’s pulling all the stops to get this done by Spring.

This was an “in your face” move by obama, Christiansen and Napolitano. I am sure there is many places these fools could cut budgets but they are all angry because they are not getting what they wanted,…so they will make the public pay. These people need firing. If any of these criminals hurt one citizen these agencies and their supervisors should be held accountable. THis move was not necessary and they know it. I am tired of government trash refusing to do what they are supposed to do and do things to spite the people. This “trash” includes obama.
