Turkish PM Erdogan: Islamophobia a ‘Crime Against Humanity’ Along With Zionism and Fascism

With a string of pro-Islam, anti-Israel and anti-Western stances to his credit, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan is fast-making his mark as anything but the moderate leader of a country that once sought to emulate countries like Germany, rather than theocracies like Iran.

His latest controversial remarks came while speaking at the Fifth Alliance of Civilizations Forum in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace this week when he stated that Islamophobia must be regarded as a crime against humanity” in the vein of anti-Semitism and fascism. What’s more, the prime minister included Zionism as being akin to fascism and alas, yet another crime against humanity.

“Just like Zionism, anti-Semitism and fascism, it becomes unavoidable that Islamophobia must be regarded as a crime against humanity,” Erdoğan said, before he condemned political leaders who he claimed defame religion.

“Certain politicians’ defamation of a religion or a sect by mass communication tools only makes pre-conceived notions bigger and deepens the gap.”

“We are facing a world in which racist attacks have gained momentum, terrorism has claimed more lives, and religions and sects treat each other with less understanding,” Erdoğan said.

“In a similar fashion, I must state that rising racism in Europe is a serious problem for the Alliance of Civilizations Project…Aside from countries indifferent to Muslim countries, disrespectful attitudes toward Muslims living in certain countries continue to hurt consciences.”

Erdogan also spoke of the bloodshed in Mali, claiming religion has nothing to do with the carnage. He said it would be a “mistake to “evaluate the current developments in Mali as if they were based on religion.”

“Members of different religions in Mali are not fighting against each other. There could be acts of terrorism in Mali but to define such violence as part of a religion would not be correct since no monotheistic religion encourages terrorism. Islam means ‘peace.’ We can never accept arguments that a religion of peace, Islam, encourages or approves terrorism.”

The Turkish prime minster also said that his country’s EU membership would be a significant step for the success of the Alliance of Civilizations.

Though in international forums Erdogan always stresses that anti-Semitism is “a crime against humanity,” the report continued, in reality, he “indirectly incites and encourages” anti-Semitism in Turkey. “For Erdogan and some of those around him,” it explained, “there is no distinction between ‘Israeli’ and ‘Jewish,’ and therefore, [their] anti-Israel fervor and criticism become anti-Jewish.”

Tayyip Erdogan, in June 1997, at a meeting organized by the municipality to celebrate the city’s conquest by the Ottoman Turks, remarking: “The Jews have begun to crush the Muslims of Palestine, in the name of Zionism,” the mayor said, “Today, the image of the Jews is no different from that of the Nazis.”

Americans have a human right to ignore and not support an establishment of religion that violates their civil rights, their legal rights, and their inalienable rights by God to fall under the dominion of a foreign country, simply because you want that to happen?

Well its not going to happen, and that’s called the right to assembly, the right to assemble public opinion that we can reject supporting Islam with material tax dollars without being harrassed with slander and defamation of either our US Constitution or the character of the citizens of that land?

Islamaphobia is nothing more than listening to spoiled children, who whine in hunger that they might be ignored, instead of acting like grown men? Phobia is a mental condition that occurs when you are rejected, and it makes you angry that citizens around the world share that human right to reject your demands for sovereignty over their lives?

The crime against humanity is demanding others bend their knee to your will, instead of asking them? Americans were not scared of the genocide of Hitler, they are wary of the opinions formed by those who are rejected by their peers? Protestants in America were at odds with the Chatholic Church, because they believed in the power of baptism and the Holy Ghost, as the ultimate power that can not be contained, because it is delivered by free will, and people want it?

We know how to feed hungry children.

  KEATIEPOOH, Nice strawman comparison. First, let’s drop back to the American Indian Wars. There was no attempt to wipe out every American Indian in the nation as the Ottoman Empire set out to do. There target if you do any research was the entire Armenian population. Does this excuse what happened to the American Indian in this country? Hell no, it does not. But, at the same time that was a really bad comparison. BTW, I have more Cherokee blood than Fauxcahontas, and a little less from the Choctaw tribe from a different side of my family. Oh, I never have and never will try to use that to get ahead in any way. I will pull my own weight.

The so-called racism in European countries is simply the people finally getting sick and tired of the Muslim invasions of their homelands and they are fighting back. Unfortunately the Muslims have their defenders in seats of power and they terrorize others into submission. Have a look at how belligerent Muslims are becoming in France. They are not assimilating at all but are forcing France to assimilate to them. “Islamophobia” is defined as a “fear of Islam”. How can a FEAR be a crime? When Muslims stop instilling FEAR through TERRORISM (defined as “violence intended to create FEAR or death”), then maybe we can discuss fear of the religion of Islam.

  I’m confused by this statement. Are they talking about how many terrorists are Muslims or how many terrorist attacks against the US are carried out by Muslims? The title and first sentence seem to imply one thing but the second sentence specifically states something else entirely. Personally, I think the latter meaning is the correct one in which case the article itself is intentionally misleading because 1. it’s restricting itself to only attacks against the US and 2. It lists the attacks by number of incidents not number of perpetrators. The Oklahoma city bomber acted alone but both WTC attacks were carried out by a number of people and were planned by a larger organization.
  
  On top of this confusion though there’s also the issue of what qualifies as terrorism. For example, the Fort Hood incident isn’t counted as a terrorist incident by the administration and they initially denied the terrorist nature of Benghazi. Meanwhile, they are probably counting Mexican drug lord violence as terrorism seeing as that group had the largest figure.
