Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice: No 2016 Plans

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice speaks at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012. (Getty Images)
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday again shot down the idea of running for president, telling a San Francisco audience she’ll continue to do public service, just not from the Oval Office.
“I learned that running for office really wasn’t in my DNA when I helped [President] George W. Bush run in 1999. We’d go to maybe five campaign events in a day..and at the end of the day, he was raring to go and I was raring to go to bed. And I thought, ‘Maybe this just isn’t for me,’” Rice said, according to The Hill. “But I’ll continue to do public service as I hope we all do.”
Rice was the only former Bush cabinet member to speak at the Republican National Convention in August and at the time seemed to hint that she wasn’t entirely ruling out her own bid.
“A little girl grows up in Jim Crow Birmingham, the segregated city of the South where her parents canβt take her to a movie theater or to a restaurant,” Rice said at the convention. “But they have her absolutely convinced that even though she canβt have a hamburger at the Woolworthβs lunch counter, she can be president of the United States if she wanted to be, and she becomes the secretary of state.”
Rice,Β who recently joined CBS News as a contributor, said Friday she does miss her old colleagues from the nation’s capital — but not much else.
“I do miss the people that I worked with in Washington. I don’t miss anything else about being in Washington,” she said.

We need to restore federal common law, get out of the UN and hang those (of course after a trial) who have committed treason and sedition against the Republic, shitcan the Federal Reserve and take back out gold, declare war on the IMF and World Bank, and free the states from the federal death grip. This is just a start. Care to add anything?

Posted on March 3, 2013 at 2:10pmThis is good news. We can’t afford to lose another presidential election even before it’s run.
Though plenty smart enough and eminently qualified, like Romney, she doesn’t have the combativeness needed to win. From now on, I don’t think qualifications will be enough to win over the 47%. Your can’t be angry, belligerent and mean spirited, but you have to be able to enter the shark’s cage and come out, bloodied, but alive. I don’t think she would have the stomach for that. She is too refined and too much a classy lady.

Obam is the least qualified, least competent, least accomplished, least AMERICAN President we could ever possibly have. obama is an illusion. A mythical creature made up by the progressive alinsky party. Obama is dead man as soon as he is worth more to them dead than alive. obama leads nothing. His teleprompter is all that he is and all that he will ever be.
His usefulness has almost run it’s course. He will soon be worth more as a martyr than a spokesman. At the hands of those who made him.

Posted on March 2, 2013 at 5:02pmGP, I want to cogitate on this, specifically the phrase “not exactly qualified”.
That suggests the REAL question is Two Fold.
1. What ARE the “qualifications” I want in my Prez?
2. HOW, in what context and in what way, does a person ACQUIRE those “qualifications”?
Charlie The Kraut(hammer) let the cat outa the bag back in 08 that “The GOP noms its Prezcandy by Primogeniture–inheritance of the Eldest.β
Since Reagan that ainβt worked out worth sheite for Constitutional Conservationist Extremely Radical Limited Government Types like me. So EFF THAT idea.
THAT in turn suggests what I call The Sheriff Langston Principle. John Cleese as Sheriff Langston says of himself in βSilveradoβ, in his Best British Public School Diction: βIβm not from around these parts.β
Ruling Class Aristos are rarely voted out of office, they are Guillotined.
I mean to DIS-empower DC in a kind of DISembowelment as the PRELUDE to DISMEMBERMENT, kind of way.
That suggests I have going to need to look for somebody OUTSIDE the Beltloop entirely.
Beyond that somebody who has LEAD people SUCCESSFULLY–that could be Business, Military, or Non-Profits of the NOT Redistribution of Wealth Sort. (Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, that kind of thing.)
Best Scenario is Someone who has shown they can do all Three—Officer, Businessman, Philantropist, and yet has never been closer to Government than Town Council or School Board.

Now before you say: βForeign Policyβ I think anyone who has been βat the sharp endβ knows what a Prez needs to know about the PRINCIPLES of Foreign Policy. What I really want is someone who KNOWS how to SURROUND himself with THE MOST USEFUL Experts. Experts not just knowledgeable, but ABLE to communicate and evaluate. And with the kind of Character that doesnβt hedge, but tells it like it is. Experts who are themselves leaders, but also team players. I want a Prez who has the Character and Confidence to lead that team of Experts.
[NOTE---I just see right now who my subconscious Model is----will tell you at the end---anybody want to guess.]
It is important that they NOT be a Lawyer, though some experience and knowledge of The Law would be good.
Nobody who has ever sold their services as a lobbyist, no talking heads or broadcasters or writers, no career Politicians or Bureaucrats.

Some experience as a Teacher or Coach would be good.

That works too. But if someone with out a degree of any sort was elected to high office & suggested that in most years we spend no more than we raise in taxes, they would be laughed out of office.
I don’t think you need a degree anything, everything or multiple degrees. One poster opining about the BP oil spill thought that a person had to be a geologists, an oceanographer & a physicist before they could intelligently solve the oil spill. Apparently, she never heard of multidisciplinary teams of people that work in corporations & other organizations. I should have screen printed the post & the article.
You can’t possibly be expert in everything. The last acknowledged polymath died 150 years ago or more. My beef is that people keep advocating government ponzi schemes among other things because they are innumerate. Their skills are not up to a 8 or 12 grade level in most subject if any. So it all comes down to who you know, how many people are in your side & which expert your believe.

Posted on March 2, 2013 at 1:56pmThe CFR takes in people from both parties. The gave membership to someone recently, who I though had no credentials. Someone from pop culture I think (if I remember correctly). That damaged their credibility in my eyes.
They put out a publication called Foreign Affairs. You should read it. Check it out at the local Library so that you don’t fund them. Everything that they publish is not bad.
Many military officers read it. One article was about the Chinese String of Pearls defense policy. Basically China wants to build up base on island chains & keep the U.S. out of the Western Pacific if the countries came to loggerheads so China could engage in commerce there but the U.S. could not. Remember China was really upset when ewe said we would base troops in Australia. That is behind one of their 3 or 4 strings (defense lines).
They have Tom Broken (brokaw) on the Board of advisors, SAD DAY. Just because he reports(?) (edits the news low) does not mean he knows WTH is going on.
Basically if you have risen to position of prominence in government they give you an invite.
But again many of these people are lawyers (juris doctorates), which means they are bigots due to their limited training.
