Meet Obama’s ‘Pastor-in-Chief’ — The Man Who Sends the President Daily Scripture (Plus: Key Details About Obama’s Faith)
President Barack Obama has certainly encountered his fair share of spats and debate with the more conservative cohort of America’s faith community. But despite these clashes, the leader of the free world says he’s a practicing Christian who believes that faith is immensely important in his daily life.
He reportedly reads scripture each morning, reflecting upon it and applying Biblical teachings to his personal and professional actions. Consider Obama’s friend and former employee Joshua DuBois and his daily communications with the president.
A so-called “pastor-in-chief,” DuBois headed the White House Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnership and has consulted the president on matters of faith since his days in the Illinois Senate.
The adviser spoke with CBN News last week, explaining Obama’s daily devotions and the intricate nature of the president’s Christian faith — one that has come under a fair bit of scrutiny during his time in the White House. Despite recently leaving his administration position, DuBois still sends daily inspiration to Obama.

DuBois may surprise some presidential critics in telling CBN’s Beltway Buzz that the ”biggest untold story is that [Obama] is a president of deep and abiding faith who values his walk with Christ and uses that walk to motivate the work that he does in the world.” Each morning, Dubois sends along scripture and reflective verses that are often tailored to the political season in an effort to sustain Obama’s faith.
When asked what goes into the process of coming up with viable messages to send, DuBois heralded scripture as a powerful inspirational source.
“Well, fortunately the word of God never goes out and returns void and so there’s just this tremendous power in scripture to inspire every morning and so I will pick a verse or two and sometimes add an interpretation of that verse, some times a quote or passage from C.S. Lewis or…or someone else who tends to inspire,” he explained.
DuBois also praised Obama, saying that he’s grateful to have served a leader who begins each day with Biblical truths.
“I’m also just, quite frankly, grateful for a president who begins his day every morning with scripture,” he told CBN. “I think that says a lot about Barack Obama as a leader, but also as a man.”

DuBois left the White House in February to author a devotional book and to purportedly launch a new organization focused upon helping build faith-based coalitions between the private and public sector. He will also be teaching at New York University.

Believe me that if you read the entire Bible you see instances where babies are killed after birth by those who do not want an heir in the way of their success. Same thing goes on now only now we kill unborn babies so women can have nothing in their way of success. those reasons -using abortion for securing your future- are the highest reason I am against abortion. Thank God my mother kept all eight of her kids who have all turned out just fine, our mother had a good life, and no once did our mother ever think where she could have gotten to in life, had she aborted any of us. I still will be against abortion always unless it happens accidently, or if a woman decides not to keep a” rape” child. Allowing women to abort babies that have arms, legs, eyes, heart ….a beating heart….is wrong. God doesn’t like it and no where would you find God agreeing to kill any of his creations. That is where we all learn about unconditional love. ” I will love you always, says God.” Knowing that, how can anyone make the decision to kill an unborn baby knowing God disapproves. ?

We are told not only that we can spot a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but that we would spot them (Matt 7:15-20).

-He wants to place/uphold stumbling blocks within society (Matt 18:7).
-He enjoins himself with people who speak out against Christ (2 Cor 6:14-18).
-He wants to give to Caesar what is God’s, ie. he wants the state to be God (Matt 22:21).

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”
What Obama doesn’t realize is that – somewhere in the Bible, it’s there I’m sure – is that what Jesus meant wasn’t for an entire country to behave in a Christian manner. That only applies to prayer in schools or teaching the Bible in schools. Obviously, he didn’t mean that country should support the least of us!
Actually Jesus meant that, as a country, we should support the richest among us. You know, give them tax breaks for their private jets. Jesus meant that, as a country, “the least among us” can go to heck, it would be sacrilege to believe we’re going to support those moochers.

What is it about the word “command” that people don’t understand? When you are commanded to do something, is that more like a guideline? Personally I am in favor of a government that enforces the laws of God Almighty. I want prayer in the schools, and want God’s will enforced, including his command to help the poor.
Jesus was all about helping the poor and I want our government to behave in a Christian way. I want our government to adhere to the words of Christ. But that’s just me. Many atheists, or al la carte Christians may believe differently.

You will notice in the Bible, charity is always directed at the individual, and never at the government. You will never find Jesus taking from the rich, and redistributing to the poor. The good Samaritan did not collect a tax, he gave of his own money.
If you do a quick google search on charity, you will also find that republicans and conservatives outgive democrats by a huge margin. Dems want to be charitable with money they did not earn. That is socialism, not charity.
You will also notice that in world history, other socialist and Marxist leaders sold their socialism the same way Obama does, that it is about being equal and giving to the poor. Once these leaders get full power, they also have a tendency to confiscate Bibles and murder millions of their own citizens (Mao, Stalin, Castro, Hitler…)
Let us not forget that Satin can quote scripture also.
You claim that you want a government that is like Jesus. When Jesus helped the poor, they went away changed and lived differently.
Our welfare system makes the poor into slaves, and creates more poverty. Just look at the current state of black Americans. Seven of ten are born into single parent homes, they have more young men in prison, than in college, and at 12.5% they do 50% of the nation’s murders, 62% of the rapes, 68% of the armed robberies….. There is nothing Christian about any of this, nor is t comparable with Bible Christianity.

Why did he make that quote? What did he mean? Was he thinking of Biblical charity when he made it, or did he have something else in mind? Was it more about control, and moving blacks to another plantation?
For those that believe welfare is Biblical, show me an example in the Bible, where God supported taking money from the hard working, and redistributing to the lazy who will not work, and then bringing in immigrants from another country, and letting them do your manual labor.,
Look at how violent crime is intrinsically tied to our welfare system, and sell me on how it is Biblical.
Go visit the projects in Columbus, Georgia, and take a look at the violent crime, the foolish men walking around in pants so big and baggy, that they have to hold them up with both hands, and are not capable of doing work for their family. 1 Timothy 5:8 tells us that a man who will not care for his family is an infidel. Look at the drugs and prostitution in these projects. These places are models of democrat programs, and they are dens of wickedness. When Jesus went among the poor, he left them in a different condition that what he found them in, and most of all, their hearts were changed. “Go and sin no more” is a whole lot different than handing out food stamps.

We also know that the misinterpretation and misapplication of His teachings is at the root of most of the atrocities blamed in Christianty – the Salem witch trials and the Crusades, for example.
If Obama’s governance and policies are based upon his interpretation if scripture, then we can add another atrocity to our list.
The Law of Moses contained much regarding the regulation of society, however it was replaced by Christ with a higher law – a law which required self-regulation.
If everyone were to self-regulate as Christ taught, societal regulation would not be necessary.
Satan steals many souls through counterfeits; lust instead of love, pleasure instead of joy, etc.
Collective salvation is the counterfeit to individual salvation.

Of course he knows how to lead and that is to be a servant to all and to love everyone. Race-baiting and hate mongering did not make him a leader nor did he do all of that for power and money. Jesus is not nor ever was a control freak. The only taught with total love and laid down his life to prove that love.
