Obama Campaign Releases Comprehensive List of Top Fundraisers From 2012 Election | Will Smith, Eva Longoria, Harvey Weinstein

On Saturday, President Obama’s campaign arm released a list of 770 top donors who brought in between $186.6 million and $268 million for the president’s re-election.

In total, the campaign raised nearly $1 billion to defeat Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

According to the lengthy report, nearly 250 campaign bundlers each raised at least $500,000 for the president.

Prominent donors included actors Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, Eva Longoria, Wendell Pierce and film producer Harvey Weinstein.Β  Also on the list was musician Gwen Stefani, ​Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe.

Jon Corzine, former New Jersey governor and CEO of MF Global, also apparently bundled over $500,000.Β  Investigators say more than $1 billion in customer funds from his now-bankrupt company are missing, but Corzine has insisted he has no idea where it went.

President Obama was recently criticized by NBC’s Chuck Todd for offering top donors privileged access, noting that “candidate Obama” often lamented the influence of money in politics.

“Excuse us?” Todd said.Β  “This just looks bad.”

    Only good thing I could see or not see however you want to phrase it….I didn’t see one of my Oklahoma brother/sisters on that super larger donor list. We are an all Red state here…In fact, I think everyone of our counties went RED.

      You are correct. No county in your fine state went for Obama in 2012 or 2008. My husband and I would like to move to a warmer climate after the kids are done with college and OK is on the top of our list!

      I was very sad to see that Will and Jada Smith gave so much. NOW, I WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER MOVIE HE MAKES BECAUSE I do not want my hard-earned money given to him so he can give it to a Marxist. MY MONEY IS GOING TO BE SPENT ON GOOD, MORAL, AND PURE THINGS – NOT R-RATED MOVIES, socialist actors/actresses, and all the other awful things that Hollywood and immorality puts out. The Bible tells us in 2 Thess 2 & 3 that we are to separate ourselves (if you belong to Jesus) from evil, immorality, and anything that is NOT PURE AND GODLY.

      So think about that folks as you go spend money at the theatre to see Will Smith and other Hollywood idiots that will take that money just so they can make sure EVIL REIGNS.

      I AM TAKING A STAND AGAINST THESE PEOPLE.

    A name that caught my eye is Imad Husain, a Pakistani and Obama’s ex-roomate at Occidental. Research says he’s now a Boston banker. But I couldn’t find what bank or what he does at mysterious bank. Perhaps he funnels money to the Muslim Brotherhood?

      He was investigated for the 2008 campaign, but that suddenly just stopped. And this time around the election oversight committee reported violations, but again, nothing is being done. Under the law, you cannot accept a donation if you can’t determine who is donating it, and if they are a US citizen. Plus there is a cap on how much an individual can donate to a campaign, $2,500. That is supposed to be tracked by the campaigns. The Obama campaign turned of the feature tracking that and allowed people to use a visa cash card to donate on line, those cash card dont have an address associated with them, therefore, you could simply put John Doe at any address and donate as much as you want.
      They also sold their campaign gear to non-us citizens and directly to foriegn address, which again, is illegal, due to that gear is considered a donation.

      But I am not holding my breath that anyone will be charged with any crime.
