Michelle Obama in Google Hangout: Dogs Are Not Exempt From Lets Move Fitness Initiative

First Lady Michelle Obama said in a Google hangout Monday that domesticated animals are not exempt from the “Let’s Move” fitness initiative she has pushed throughout her husband’s presidency.

Speaking of the family dog Bo, the first lady said her daughters always take the dog for a walk after dinner, often throwing a ball around or doing some other activity to ensure he’s able to run.

“Barack says that Bo is not very active,” she joked. “He always teases him. But [Bo] actually gets out every day. The girls have to walk him … and we tell them, ‘don’t come back right away.’”

The first lady continued: “Dogs are no different. You want to make sure that they’re eating a balanced diet, and if they’re not an active dog, make sure that their food is reflective of an inactive dog.”

“We’ve got to worry about every member of our family!” she stated.

Every now and then there are stories of someone being shot because their dog stepped on the trigger of a loaded gun with the safety off. What do you bet, a campaign for limiting dogs access to guns is also in the works.

  This statement says a lot. First of all, you have nothing to do with my family, so there is no “we” or “our”. Second, I’m offended by the implication that most families do not care about the health of its’ members. Last, let’s look at the word worried. It is defined as “To feel uneasy or concerned about something; be troubled.” Why use this word unless you are talking to a bunch of victims? Why not use the phrase “care for”? Everything thing with this president and flotus is negative. There are no positives. Everything must change, even though we can’t define “everything” and won’t define what it will change into.

If you notice, the photo was from March 15, 2012. Why a year old photo?
Has the dog been served up as the main course at a dinner party recently?
Possibly, at the Jan. 2013 inauguration party.

  Back in the old,old days there was a Assault Helicopter company down the road from us that had a mutt for a mascot. When a GI would walk by he would jump and yelp and wag his tail. When a Korean would go by that dog would pin his ears back, **** would come up he he would just growl. That dog was on to something…..

  Relax she is just looking out for us. If you keep your dog in good shape she has numerous recipes for it. she doesn’t want you to have to trim all the fat before cooking.

So she’s a veterinarian now?
Local officials came up with a short lived plan to force dog owners to maintain a specified area for dogs to roam free, and no length of chain was allowed as acceptable. When veterinarians intervened in order to point out many dogs live happily in 6×12 kennels with limited periods outside, and raised concerns over the number of happy healthy pets that would face euthenasia over a pointless law, they actually listened and backed off….

would that our national Leader would look at facts before he makes his Executive orders.
