What Do You Get When You Combine a Sword and Electroshock Weapon? This Terrifying Homemade ‘Taser Sword’

Thanks to the Slingshot Channel on YouTube, we’ve seen a lot of fascinating DIY weapons (generally including rubber bands in their mechanism). But this new DIY “Taser Sword” comes from another YouTube user.

It’s, as jonathanj9969 describes it, a “double bladed sword with a taser built in.”

Man Creates Sword Equipped With Stun Gun Electrical Current and Has It Tested on Himself

The sword looks intimidating enough on its own. (Image: YouTube screenshot)

Here it is with the electrical current engaged. (Image: YouTube screenshot)

We should note that Taser is a trademarked product sold by Taser International, and the more generalized term for a device emitting such an electrical current is stun gun or electroshock weapon.

Jonathanj9969 wrote that he wrapped the handle in rubber padding and electrical tape for user safety.

And if you’re wondering how the device is charged, the handle simply plugs into a wall outlet.

Learn more about the sword equipped with an electrical current in this video:

If you can handle it, here’s the video of the creator having the electrical feature of the weapon tested against himself. The also show the result of what happens if you were using traditional metal blades in a battle against the electrical sword (Content Warning: Strong language):

Jonathanj9969 wrote, “Hurts a good bit but the worst is using two swords against the taser sword.”

As GeekOSystem’s Glen Tickle wisely put it, it’s probably best not to attempt to make your own version of this weapon.

“I say that more out of concern for my own safety than yours,” Tickle wrote.

I work in the security world and have for almost ten years. about three years ago for a required yearly training credit I viewed a knife fighting video… before this I would engage people up close (5-10 feet) after I would not let someone I did not know closer than 20 until I could assess the threat.
My trainer as a rookie deputy was ready to engage a knife wielding aslant in hand to hand. His veteran partner(who was twice his size) saw this and pushed my teacher aside and then shot the guy! For years he was upset till his own experance made him realize that his life was saved. The lessen is that a trained or even untrained fighter can jack you up if you let them…
    Good night and God bless…….

To all who are going on about how simple it would be to simply shoot someone with a knife please pay close attention. I am an avid supporter of the 2nd Amendment, i love my guns and i love shooting them. I am also a practioner of various martial arts and i can tell you that someone with a knife can KILL you and they dont even eed to be highly trained. It is a law we call the 21 foot rule. Build a ceramic version with a five to eight inch blade and alternating positive/negative electrodes along the majority of it’s blade length on the non-cutting backside powered by a standard 9V battery and I’ll buy it today.

    I want one of those!

For all those who talk GUNS….yeah….draw & fire when I have the jump on you alone or in a crowd.

Knives & Axes are easier to purchase & don’t alert everyone of danger when you use them right :)

Guns are situational. Knives & Axes are the same.

Patriots used Knives & Tomahawks to great effect in CQB (close quarters combat) during 177666.

It’s all about That Special Moment when your pistol, shotgun, or rifle, are not pointed directly at me. :)

Guns & Knives/Axes go well together

http://www.rmjtactical.com/ has military grade Tomahawks as reliable tools & sturdy weapons.

They do go good together and I carry a knife, but I can have my pistol out and fired much quicker. I also see no way to carry one of those tomahawk’s where it would be easier to draw than my pistol. The reality is that it’s easier and smoother to pull the pistol……as long as we are talking about iwb or owb.

Well you’re talking about reacting to an ambush. I’m talking about staging one.

& no, the draw depends on the handle, the sheathe & your reaction time.

All of which can be prepared beforehand.

& really…there are quick release sheathes for axes. An axe beats a knife in a stand-off.

Regardless, just removing a pistol from the holster (clear the barrel, rotate) puts me in position to be deadly. A tomahawk or knife will never be as fast, backup tools. In the military we had knives for backup, never main weapons.

A freaky and clever invention. I would think it could be somewhat thwarted by a hard blow by your normal sword on just one side, being careful not to contact both blades, and since you have two swords (in this scenario), attack the opening with the other. Since your first sword only touches one blade, no circuit is formed, and no stun.

    I think…

Still, imagine if the defender then had TWO of these things. :P

It’s really not that complicated. You seek peace. If someone violent tries to disrupt that peace, in this world, often the only way to stop them is the threat of force, or if they spurn even that, the use of force. This does NOT mean going around using force as the antagonist. Hence the idea of self-defense.

Time and time again, “wimp pacifism” has proven to actually encourage violence to fester. Simply because there are evil people who will take advantage of it. It’s naive to think otherwise. But meeting the evil in our world with resilience actually fosters peace (or the closest to it we can come, apparently, in this life), because evil tends to back down in the face of superior force.

History has proven it over and over and over. To be here in 2013 still doubting it is ridiculous — I understand it, though; it can seem counterintuitive before you think it through and do your homework on it. It’s also a major failure of our liberalism-infected education system which often fails to teach these proven life basics (even while indoctrinating in unproven and often disproven claims). You have to be curious enough about truth to look into it yourself and look at the facts on the ground.

The Bible confirms this, when read in context, BTW, since you mentioned Jesus. Jesus said to turn the other cheek, yet prophesied his second coming as one of war, and when violence of Canaan reached a tipping point there was war, etc.

      Hi The Big Mick,

      I’ll take that question on from a Monk’s perspective. We train for self defense and practice Peace. We are prepared yet do not want violence. I have been attacked by a group of people on several occasions, have never had to hit anyone nor have I ever been hit. Never tried to win a fight and never lost a fight either. Peace through strength and fighting without fighting. Also, read this for another example;

      Chuang Tzu Story – Fighting C o c k

Chi Hsing Tzu was a trainer of
      fighting c o c k s for King Hsuan.
He was training a fine bird.
      The king kept asking
if the bird was ready for combat.

      “Not yet”, said the trainer.
      “He is full of fire.
He is ready to pick a fight
      with every other bird.
      He is vain and confident
      of his own strength.”

After ten days he answered again,
      “Not yet. He flares up
when he hears another bird crow.”

      After ten more days,
“Not yet. He still gets that angry look
      and ruffles his feathers.”

      Again ten days.
      The trainer said,
      “Now he is nearly ready.
      When another bird crows,
      his eyes don’t even flicker.
He stands immobile like a block of wood.
      He is a mature fighter.
Other birds will take one look at him and run.”

Monk and Bones, both missing the point. Did Jesus train for force? Did Jesus, Gandhi, or King say “threaten me and I’ll kill you?” No. Beck has no license to put himself in the context of these men. That’s sick. Same goes for you all, who threaten to use force. It’s fine for you, but don’t pretend you’re living the life of those men. It’s bait and switch. It’s marketing. It’s a slogan. It’s hollow.

“Monk and Bones, both missing the point. Did Jesus train for force? Did Jesus, Gandhi, or King say “threaten me and I’ll kill you?””
Essentially yes, as I pointed out. ;)

It seems more like you’re missing the point. How is what I said debatable? You didn’t address it. In the face of “wimp pacifism”, violent evil festers, feels emboldened, and you end up with less peace. In the face of “strong pacifism”, violent evil backs down and you end up with more peace.

The Bible doesn’t say that Jesus did NOT train for the use of force, so moot point. It also says that Jesus told us someday he’ll come back and USE force against those seeking to harm his people, so yes, He DID say that!

Abraham warred against other nations that used violence even before Canaan did. David killed Goliath and warred against the Philistines. Look at Samson and the other judges! When evil people threatened Israel, He did command violence against them, but not for the SAKE of violence. For the sake of peace. :)

Also, Jesus didn’t need to resort to martial arts or a sword. He even commanded Peter to stop attacking the people that arrested him. He could work miracles (and at least once did) to avoid harm, and when he submitted it was to time to pay for our sins — again, to save lives, not to let evil take them. By contrast, the closest we have to a “miracle” is a gun. (Which, again, need not always be FIRED to prevent violence.)

Jesus also knew he would rise from the dead. So basically, not a good comparison! I can’t choose to rise from the dead, or cast a miracle to protect myself.

Here’s what Jesus actually said, just from a search of the word “sword” alone!

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34 (Them’s fightin’ words!)

“Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.” Matthew 26:52 (Showing that he doesn’t mean antagonism, but self-defense.)

“And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.” Luke 22:36b

      And then there’s:

“And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations… to gather them for battle… they marched up… and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them” Revelation 20:7-9 (Basically, “threaten me and I’ll kill you”, just one of many such examples.)

Yet, “peace” above clearly means “wimpy pacifism,” for we ARE to seek true peace:

“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Romans 12:18; See also Galatians 5, etc. Note “IF POSSIBLE”!

Re: ” You can’t stay on point, and you can’t have a discussion.”
Rings rather hollow considering you didn’t take on his original point… Nor mine. Please do, if we’re wrong, using real logic.

He had a hang over that morning and forgot his whip. When the whip against sword fight started and he realized he forgot the whip he just puled the gun and shot. The directors liked it so much they kept it in the movie.

Beagle, is it 9-5 posting? Freelance dolt or paid dolt? OFA/OAF gig? Please say you ain’t doing this for free-sadder still to think an org would pay, but more believable that your insight is scripted for you.

FUBAR, sorry to hear you have no life and are expected to monitor this site all day and all night long. Glad you have a little crush on me though. You’re not alone. A lot of you little paranoid kiddos follow me around on here. It’s cute. I’m popular!

No, not popular. Still the nerdy little kid that everyone laughed at.

Dude smoke less pot and clean-up your trash. It is a fire hazard, with so much garbage so close to the laser swords.

Well, on second thought, go ahead and ignite the trash.

Why use a sword? Wouldn’t an old car antenna work well without cutting anyone? And would enough volts kill a zombie, if applied to the head on the “Walking Dead”, like through the eye socket? And can these things be solar charged rather than through a wall socket?

    Whats the point?
Use a gun and your problem will be solved quicker and with less effort.
