Syndicated columnist and political activist Star Parker is the founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), a 501(c)3 non-profit think tank that aims to address issues of race and poverty through principles of faith, freedom and personal responsibility. Parker has been leading black leaders to speak out in favor of gun rights, and through CURE released an eyebrow-raising ad this week featuring graphic images of the KKK and lynching, making the case against gun control laws that prohibit African-Americans from defending themselves.

Kevin Jackson has written extensively about identity politics, and joined ‘Wilkow!‘ Wednesday to discuss the CURE campaign and arguing for gun rights and conservative values in cities.

Mar. 7, 2013 at 10:18amThe State’s progressive mind set is for people to look at police (the State) to be our form of self-defense and the courts are our deterent against crime. While the police can not stop crime, they are able (in some cases) to catch the criminal and the courts process the criminals for appropriate treatment. Violence is a crime against the State, it disrupts business. We are members of the State and are to look up to those above us to protect us. We do not need to look deeply into why violence happens, we need only to trust our leaders. They would never play politics with violence to get votes; now would they? From the smallest animal there is the right to self-defense, but we are better than that. We have the Police, the Courts, the Prisons, and our Leaders; we are covered they have our back. The back of their Society will be covered.

Mar. 7, 2013 at 10:03am“Thirty-one states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. ”

Mar. 7, 2013 at 9:48amexactly,
The crazy thing is this ad is defending arming blacks and blacks commit more murders with guns then all other groups. Fact is if you removed black crime stats from the equation America is hands down the safest country on the planet.
