Elisabeth Hasselbeck is being fired from ABC’s “The View” because market researchers found that her conservative views were out of touch with the show’s audience, according to a report in Us Weekly.

The magazine, citing unnamed sources, reported Friday that Hasselbeck will be leaving the show along with Joy Behar, an outspoken far-left liberal who quit the show by choice.

“The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right-wing,” a show insider whose name was not reported told UsMagazine.com about Hasselbeck Friday. “People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed.”

TV Newser later reported similar developments. The site referenced two separate sources that confirmed the conservative co-host was leaving “The View.” A spokesman for the ABC show told TV Newser that Hasselbeck has a “long-term contract.”

“If Hasselbeck’s conservatism is a problem with audiences, it would appear to be a relatively new one; she has been on the show for nearly ten years with no apparent fuss,” the Huffington Post notes.

So, that leaves the show with Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd — not exactly a group with diverse political ideology. It should be interesting to see if ABC chooses to hire another conservative to at least attempt to balance out the liberal side.

I’ve never watched this show of no-nothings. This is the best thing that could happen to Elizabeth since its viewers are low-information people anyway. Frankly, I’m surprised the show has lasted this long with its trash of propaganda. But, then, one must consider that all the broadcast stations and many cable ones are a waste of time for any intelligent person. I stopped watching May 2008 and haven’t missed a thing!

SO proud to say that I have never watched that show. I do have to say that the conservative’s could take a little lesson from this. You don’t see any attempt at pc here. Your either in or you change your ways or you’re out. Hasselbeck, “too extreme and right-wing”. America I cry for you,

She will find a better home elsewhere. Who the hell watches these hags anyway. They just can’t deal with her because she makes them all look ugly by comparison. So much for “diversity” and open mindedness. Exactly what does it mean to be a right wing extremist? Someone who believes in the Constitution? Limited government? Free-market economy? Liberty? Now, that’s extreme, if you are a radical Marxist like most of the extremists on this show, and probably its limited viewership.

  Got that right. They had such bias and could never keep their personal “feelings” hidden. They are barely cordial to their conservative guests. The only ones I liked were Elisabeth and Sherri.

Hasselbeck’s statements were the only ones I agreed with.

I suppose they should fire me for not agreeing with the pugglies (political ugglies) but I’m gonna go one step better:

I’m firing THEM! With Hasselbeck gone, there’s no need to tune in. Ever!

Maybe she’ll end up at The Blaze? I hear there’s room for more programming. And I have a suggestion for the show’s name:

The Unadulterated View.

(She’s the only one of that bunch who would qualify.)

the brain dead people that watch the view only had one sane person to listen to and they couldn’t handle it. does it suprize me that the radical left ABC let her go NO now the 5 should get rid of that fat commie Beckle and hire Elizabeth and maybe I would watch the show
