ABC Reportedly Fires Elisabeth Hasselbeck From The View Over Conservative Views

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is being fired from ABC’s “The View” because market researchers found that her conservative views were out of touch with the show’s audience, according to a report in Us Weekly.

The magazine, citing unnamed sources, reported Friday that Hasselbeck will be leaving the show along with Joy Behar, an outspoken far-left liberal who quit the show by choice.

“The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right-wing,” a show insider whose name was not reported told UsMagazine.com about Hasselbeck Friday. “People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed.”

TV Newser later reported similar developments. The site referenced two separate sources that confirmed the conservative co-host was leaving “The View.” A spokesman for the ABC show told TV Newser that Hasselbeck has a “long-term contract.”

“If Hasselbeck’s conservatism is a problem with audiences, it would appear to be a relatively new one; she has been on the show for nearly ten years with no apparent fuss,” the Huffington Post notes.

So, that leaves the show with Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd — not exactly a group with diverse political ideology. It should be interesting to see if ABC chooses to hire another conservative to at least attempt to balance out the liberal side.

The show I despise most on TV. I hate it, will never watch it and turn the channel no matter which TV it’s on or where I’m at. I sat in Chemo hooked up to a tube of medicine that make your stomach turn as it enters your body. Someone came in and put The View on and I forced myself up to turn the channel. I told them sorry, the medicine makes me sick enough don’t need that show to make thing worse.

  I’d also like to point out that conservative women are SO much prettier than libs. I mean just look at Elisabeth, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, S.E. Cupp, etc. compared to the other women on The View, Frankenfeinstein, Hillary, Moochelle, etc. seriously folks, NO CONTEST!

Elisabeth has just been informed that her cabin reservation on the Titanic has been cancelled, and due to the tremendous popularity of the maiden voyage……she will need to book a later voyage. Yeah, lets hope the Hasselbecks pop a cork and watch the other offers pour in. CONGRATULATIONS ELISABETH!

I have a view on the other women on “The View”. People who know me know that I’m liable to say anything about anything/anyone at any time. I don’t even know how to spell PC much less what it stands for. You can generally recognize me by my “NUKE GAY WHALES FOR CHRIST” conversation starter tee-shirt. So understand when I tell you that my view on the other women on “The View” is something I can’t tell you; it might even offend me if I wrote it out. But maybe you get the idea.

  Exactly said and hits the mark. Hasselbeck was to them a virus getting stronger and infecting their body of non-thinking, mind-numbed, common sense-deprived, lemmings called an audience. At the risk of their liberal audience being shaken into reality of what liberals are doing to our culture, she had to go this way. The others, not being able to compete with her views except by shouting her down risked being labeled as bullies if a conservative influence gained traction.

Just a question, if the ratings go up, couldn’t it be because of Joy, and if they drop even more, couldn’t it be because Elizabeth left? So now, if rating drop, they will say it’s because Joy left, if they raise, they will say that it is because Elizabeth left.
