Despite CAIR Push-Back, Controversial Anti-Jihad Ads Launch in DC Metro Stations

In October 2012, Pamela Geller — a blogger and the executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative — told TheBlaze in an exclusive interview about plans to expand her controversial DC-based ad campaign that features an image of Osama bin Laden. The ad is meant to shed light on the fact that jihad is a tenet of Islam, but some critics argue that the ad marginalizes all Muslims. Geller and others who support the ad campaign, meanwhile, maintain it is directed at fighting jihad and radical Islamism.

Geller was embroiled in a long battle with New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) over her ads as well, but a judge ruled in her favor. After additional push-back from MTA, the outspoken activist’s ads were permitted so long as they carried a disclaimer stating that the MTA itself did not endorse the message. Geller won a similar case with the DC’s Washington Metro Transit Authority (WMATA) and now, her string of ads have launched in subway stations across the DC-metro area. The campaign, which will run for one month, is also meant to satirize CAIR’s “MyJihad” ad campaign, which seeks to minimize the definition of jihad and portray it as a harmless inner-struggle within one’s-self alone.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has not been a fan of the initiative, needless to say, and has fought to have the ads removed on the basis that it is offensive to Muslims. CAIR executive director Ibrahim Hooper was featured in a Fox5 news segment about the ads on Friday, stating that Geller is “one of the nation’s leading anti-Muslim bigots” and that the Southern Poverty Law Center named her “as one of the nation’s inner circle of hatemongers of Islam.”

Subway-goers were also asked their opinion of the ad, with some saying that they do not like seeing bin Laden’s face given his role in the 9/11 attacks. This, however, is likely Geller’s point as she seeks to have Americans remember rather than forget the extent of damage radical Islam can cause.

“Seeing his face especially. That’s not a face you want to see too often, especially after what he did to this country,” said Metro traveler Anisa Bailey during the interview.

Struggling to have her ads placed in DC Metro stations is not the first obstacle Geller has faced, however. After four years hosting popular events at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) where she has invited guests like Dutch MP Geert Wilders and former congressman Allen West to speak about radical Islam, the outspoken activist has not been granted a venue at the conference this year. Still, she, along with champions of the First Amendment have retained one small victory with the judge’s ruling to allow her anti-jihad ad campaign to move forward.

Every one should read the history of Islamic conquest. It is replete with stories of 500,000 or so being put to the sword after every conquest. Particularly in the wars between Hindus and Muslim. The Muslim smiles in your face until he gets his blade at your throat, then he beheads you with a “Praise be to Allah!” “Islam is to man as rabies is to canines.”
All these groups want America because of her wealth, if we were poor like Sudan they would not send a drop of water or food. They are here to only disposess you.

And just why would Geller be one of the nation’s leading anti-Muslim bigots? Think Dearborn Michigan, and think of the thousands of acres in southern Georgia purchased by these radical Muslims that plan to entrench themselves in America. Think about the proposed plan to purchase even more land to create ‘jihad camps’ in the mid-west. It makes one angry because the PC police do not know how to handle this behavior. These people do not want to become Americans they just want to create multiple Muslim settlements, and yet not one Muslim leader is speaking out against these practices. We have a Muslim in the White House that is systematically dismantling the United States, to the point of another civil war.
One woman has the courage to speak out against the violence, and she is called ‘one of the nation’s inner circle of hatemongers of Islam’…’ya think?
I am so sorry for those people who are the loving Muslims, yet beaten into silence. I love the ancient culture of Arabia, the peaceful blending of many different people and beliefs, and a history older than anywhere on earth (2500BC). And I know I will never be allowed to visit the pyramids or the white desert and experience a land that is impossible to appreciate from old photos in history books or a computer.

All Muslims including members of CAIR must stop contributing to the economic and academic development of non Islamic countries. The true followers of Islam whether they are converts or born into it, must stop taking free welfare from the west and demonstrate our true independence as followers of the Prophet (pbuh). Otherwise we are helping the infidel and not our brothers and sisters in Islamic countries where the true Sharia Law rules. We must stop exposing our Muslim children to the evils of infidel life of drugs, movies, music, pornography, alcohol, sex and much more. Our Muslim girls are not wearing their burquas. Muslims marginalize themselves. They are at war with every TRUE religion on the Planet. Islam is surely OUTLAWED in the U.S. of A. How do we have a mosque standing in this Country? It makes no sense whatsoever. The Federal Government is in violation of protecting the free practice of religion by allowing a Stated objective to destroy the free practice of religion. It does not matter which came first, the chicken or the egg. Islam calls itself a religion, but it does not resemble any religion this Planet has ever known. It is a “religion” like al sharpton or jesse jackson or ‘rev’ wright are ministers. Like “black liberation theology” is a religion. None are true.

Tiny little monkeys and pigs were seen running after CAIR officials in the Washington DC area shouting, “allahu akbar” and trying to mount the officials from behind. One CAIR official reportedly burst into spontaneous flames and then vapor due to a hidden suicide vest and was immediately awarded 73 virgins by the US Congress. On closer scrutiny the tiny little monkeys and pigs were only a few Liberal Senators trying to get endorsements from the Jew hating organization for their upcoming 2014 elections in Dearborn, Michigan.

CAIR is trying to change the view of jihad for the generation of kids who don’t remember 9/11 to something inane and unimportant. If parents don’t teach their children the whole ugly truth of what happened it will be forgotten. An America that doesn’t remember is a huge, juicy target. Can you imagine not learning from Pearl Harbor? Can you imagine your parents and grandparents bowing down to the future Kamakazis so that that their feelings wouldn’t be hurt after their buddies killed husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, and siblings in that horrific attack? Let the blind be blind but (there is nothing you can do for the willfully ignorant) but, teach your children. Show them pictures and video. Teach them to never close their eyes. Teach them to stand vigilant over our freedom.

Good job, we don’t want relations with Islam, and we don’t want public tax dollars sent to Islamic nations that effectively support the religion of Islam, because that violates the civil rights of Americans who were promised that the state would not establish a religion? If Chatholics can not be paid or supported with tax dollars, neither can any other religion?

Americans have the right to assemble in public, and they certainly have a right to assemble (consolidate) viewpoints that may or may not agree with public opinion in the form of advertisement and billboards to articulate them when necessary to defend against civil liberties under attack, or for any other reason for that matter?

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has to account for that fact, and not libel or defame people as “Islamaphobic” or “haters” when Americans simply reject their agenda, concerns, or political viewpoint, as is their right in a non-violent society, and they surely should not be forced to hand over public tax dollars for any “relationship” building?

Some in Islamic countries think Americans are stupid, that they can immigrate to the United States and over throw it from within, are finding out Americans are proving they are not stupid, they are not powerless, and they have the will power to peacefully reject such political attacks with good will and honest debate with out restorting to questionable methods?

We must be very clear with Islamists… we are going to fight against your supremacist behavior and to keep American Laws in America. We are very happy with our Constitution, our freedom and to respect the rights to each and every one to express his opinions… but we are not allowing anyone to hurt any of this rights nor to accept hate speech against anyone.
