Did an AP Reporter Let His Anti-Gun Bias Show? Check Out the Gun Control Bingo Sheet He Called ‘Awesome’

While covering the Colorado state Senate debates over sweeping gun control legislation on Friday, Colorado-based Associated Press political reporter Ivan Moreno took time out to tweet an “awesome” and wildly anti-gun bingo sheet.

The ever-vigilant Michelle Malkin caught the tweet:

As you can see, the bingo sheet mocks so-called pro-gun arguments, some of which are completely absurd. So each time a witness brings up one of the topics on the bingo sheet, participants, like this AP reporter, are supposed to cross out the related box.

“NRA reference,” one box says. “FALSE CLAIM: ‘This is just an emotional response’,” says another.

Once called out by Malkin and her website Twitchy.com, Moreno then attempted to distance himself from the bingo sheet. “The sheet is at the press table, I didn’t create it. Just pointing out,” he tweeted. The sheet was apparently created by several anti-gun groups in Colorado.

“Thanks for making my rights a game,” one Twitter user replied.

    People didn’t give a hoot in hell about guns or who buys what until Hollywood and Left Media made being “anti-gun” the “coolest thing since the Atkins Diet”. Once the hype has gone the way of **** bleaching, these people will go right back to not thinking twice about gun control.

    This entire Country is made up of Lemmings. Just have to be on the “cool side” no matter how they truly feel, and keep the botox a comin in. If you step back and ‘really look’, it’s pretty easy to see why every Country hates Americans. Sad that we’ve all come to only being passionate about “who advanced on ‘Dancing With The Stars’”.

    In 2011, there were 356 people killed in the US by so called “assault rifles”. The US has 311,000,000 people living in it. That means that your odds of being killed by an “assault rifle” is .00000114. That number is so minuscule that I don’t even know how to pronounce it. It might be one millionth of a percent…..maybe less even, not sure.

    Why then are we even having this debate?

      Actually I believe that stat is all rifles, not “assault rifles”. So the stat is much lower than the already extremely low number you posted

      There was a recent study that showed that carry concealed weapons permit holders in Texas were convicted of more violent crimes than those that didn’t. This was supposed to show that they were more likely to kill or harm others, which it did. They were only 4% more likely. What wasn’t reported about the study was, those people (CHL holders) were convicted of less than 1% of all crime in Texas. So, of the less than 1% crimes they are 4% more likely to be violent, and THAT’s the group you want to go after? How about the group that’s committing 99% of the crimes?
