Sen. Feinstein Makes Wild Claim to Push Gun Control at Senate Committee Hearing

Sen. Feinstein Says Its Legal to Hunt Humans With High Capacity Magazines

Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. speaks with reporters on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, after a closed-door committee vote on CIA director nominee John Brennan. The committee voted Tuesday to approve President Barack Obama’s pick to lead the CIA after winning a behind-the-scenes battle with the White House over access to a series of top-secret legal opinions that justify the use of lethal drone strikes against terror suspects, including American citizens. During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun control Thursday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) shot down a proposed amendment to her “assault weapons” ban that would exempt military veterans from the gun ban. She also made some questionable claims.

Pushing a ban on high-capacity magazines, Feinstein argued that it is “legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines.”

Here’s her dubious rationale:

“The time has come, America, to step up and ban these weapons. The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds. We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”

During the same hearing, she also argued that a military veteran could be mentally ill and suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), therefore should be prevented from buying the semi-automatic weapons that would be banned in her bill.

The California Democrat also made the bizarre claim that the “advent of PTSD” is a “new phenomenon” and a “product of the Iraq war.”

Here’s exactly what she said in context: “The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this.”

This idiot has no idea how easy and quickly a magazine can be switched out. Bystanders got lucky once in Arizona and now that is part of the main focus of their anti-gun crusade. If a few people in that crowd had been allowed to carry their concealed-carry firearms, many fewer people would have been killed.

As was said earlier I believe a lot of this push and rhetoric is to make someone on the right snap. This to justify what they are saying. The honorable representative from the land of far left tree hugging envormental diversified alternate life stye living wacko’s has always IMHO representated her state just fine. That does not mean we have to appreciate it and we can only hope in the dying gasp’s of this replublic that the other duly elected representatives due the peoples will and ignore her.

What truly is important here and the lesson that everyone has to take way from these stories in the the media or what is left of it is this. Our government no longer has any regards for the rule of law or the restrictions set upon it by law. We must ! Up until the time that everything collapses and beyond follow the law and the constitution as the framers inteneded it. We can no more toss aside the constitution and our beliefs than we could join them now on the left.

It not enough to be right we must also do right unto ourselves and others.

    Molon Labe.

She is totally insane. Banning illegal border crossings worked. Banning drug selling and using worked. Banning prostitution worked. Banning politicians from using insider trading worked. So why shouldn’t banning guns and mags keep them out of criminals hands? Cause everything else banned worked so well.

At first I thought it was just a misguided Democrat thing on guns. Now it apears it is an agenda they have that needs lawabiding Americans to be helpless. There is a road to follow that has all working for the government that the select few will run. They will be the Kings and Nobels while the rest of us are the pesant workers. Why would anyone work harder than another with no chance to get ahead? Game over!

From now on citizens should insist that elected officials actually know something!! Ummmm. senator? “Hunting humans” is illegal; it is called premeditated murder!! If a US Senator is really this ignorant how can we ever expect them to even know what the constitution is when they swear to uphold it!!

These are the people we put in office and ask them to fix our problems. Do you really think these people care about Americans? If the feds want to take away our guns then change the constitution! If you can’t change it, then defend it!

What a mean ugly bitch, she thinks she knows it all and yet she is a closed minded liberal. I am just sick of people like her who want to control all aspects of our lives. We are supposed to be free, the people in congress are supposed to represent us. The constitution seems to be unknown to people like her, like it’s an option!!

She wants to ban guns and leave no way for women to defend them selves against attackers (aka rapist). This is something she doesn’t have to worry about, she is too damn ugly to be attacked but yet she packs heat herself and does it in DC where it is illegal.

Hunting humans is not legal. PSTD from war is not new, only that name is new. Most military veterans do not have PSTD. Diane Feinstein is getting off on creating national hysteria and HER mental stability should be questioned.

I’m embarrassed to admit that crazy Dianne is my senator. Her claim to fame is that she was in San f\Franciso when Hatvey Milk was murdered. She’s been carrying a pistol in her purse ever since even though there has never been even a rumor of a threat on her life. Flaming Libs are hardly ever assassinated

It should go without saying that this woman deserves no government protection…
And all senators should be required to undergo annual psychiatric evaluations to ensure mental competence.

When did it become legal to hunt humans? Even if your gun only holds one round or you use some other type of weapon I don’t think it is legal to hunt humans. Unless they passed another new law in the middle of the night.

She really has no clue seriously. Someone sit her down and tell her its time she get evaluated for her mental health. Since when is it LEGAL to HUNT HUMANS ?
Since when are suppossed ASSAULT RIFLES used for killing mega amounts of people ? I guess if your a sick SOB you would only think this way. Her symptomatic malady is rearing its ugly head. PARANOID big time. Serioulsly I do question her belief system and mental paranoia.
Not every person who has had witnessed TRAUMA is gonna SNAP OLA . INFACT living in CHICAGO, I wonder how the children feel who live say in ENGLEWOOD DIST.? I bet you they are very afraid at times, and have nightmares. Does she think that a person will not be affected by such atrocities, yet not pose harm to others or self ? This whole time I cannot express enough of the damage they are all doing to ANYONE who has ever suffered from NON PSYCHOTIC ailements. THEY ARE STIGMATIZING SO MANY , and I believe it has way past the line of DANGEROUS GOVERMENT OFFICIAL BY DOING HARM TO GENERAL PUBLIC. Is there not LAWS SHE IS TO FOLLOW , like the rest of us ?

PTSD a new psychological disorder from the Iraq war? She must be taking lessons from Congressidiot Hank Johnson, who was concerned that the island of Guam would capsize if it became overpopulated. This is what passes for “leaders” representing “We The People??!” Too many low information voters. I say if you pay no taxes, you don’t get to vote. Period.
