Union Tactics: Ohio Town Littered With Flyers Containing Personal Info of So-Called ‘Scabs’
A teachers strike in Strongsville, Ohio, has entered day five — and things are starting to get ugly.
Parma, a town located near Strongsville, was littered with flyers outing a so-called “scab” (i.e. a person substituting in place of one of the union members).
“I got a letter about four in the afternoon Wednesday,” Parma resident Dan Dubecky told Fox 8 Cleveland.
“It starts off by saying, ‘Do you know a scab lives in your neighborhood?’ It gives the gentleman’s name, his address, his telephone number, personal information. And then it says, ‘Why is he a scab?’ And it talks about him crossing the picket line in Strongsville,” said Dubecky.
Approximately 400 teachers are currently on strike, according to the report.
“When I walked down my street, it looks like everybody has one,” Dubecky added, referring to the flyers.
He says he can understand the teachers’ frustration, but he also thinks outing the substitute is just plain dangerous.
“Who knows what this guy will go through? I don’t know him or his circumstances, but I’m sure he’s just a guy trying to work,” said Dubecky.
A union official told the Fox affiliate that they didn’t know anything about the “scab” flyers and that “things are getting ugly for both sides.”
“It’s not just one-sided. There are teachers and retirees who are coming back to be with us whose cars are getting egged,” said Tracy Linscott, SEA President.
No new talks between the union and the Board of Education have been announced.
“We found out this past week how strong we really are. That we can stand strong and make a statement,” said Linscott.

Posted on March 8, 2013 at 10:20pmI actually live in Strongsville and have 2 children that go to the schools here!!
It’s a total mess and such a joke. These “teachers” make dropping my kids off a serious hassle (by walking back and forth across the school parking lot entrance, with help from the police and hired security), yell at me in my car to keep my kids home, and are just making a complete embarrassment of this city!
My daughter, who is in kindergarten now, is lucky because her teacher is one of the few (maybe only?) teachers who crossed the picket line and is continuing to teach her class. So at least my daughter’s day is mostly normal, however I know that the High School has over 70+ students in a clas right now, no staff to keep an eye on them, and before the strike there are many reports of the teachers telling students to disobey the subs (scabs), treat them like crap, and create as much trouble as they can!!! Then there are the high school students who have been skipping school to hang out with the teachers, and the police who are right there don’t say a thing!!!
My wife and I didn’t like this school system to begin with, (we both graduated from Strongsville in 1999), but now we are furious and disgusted and have no idea what to do besides private school, which we can’t afford. I just pray that the school board doesn’t give in to these greedy, selfish animals!

They are INSANE! The way the teachers were screaming and swearing at the subs at the meeting before they announced the strike was disgusting. I know someone who is subbing right now and she told me and my wife what was said and how the teachers were acting and we were just appalled.

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 4:05amAs parents dealing with Ohio teachers for over 25 years, and hearing “it’s for the children,” We’d had it with public schools. With our youngest, we were told he didn’t fit their mold. We put him in Ohio Virtual Academy, an eschool charter school. We dealt with Ted Strickland’s threats to punish charters to help his crony union buds. Our child is educated by us, at home through the k-12 program that William Bennett spearheaded. We’ve been in this charter school for eleven years and our child has consistently tested above average on state tests. If you are tired of fretting over teachers unions, bully issues, or liberal agenda, pull your child out of Ohio public schools, and move your child home into this great program.

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 4:18amUnions should be considered as having a monopoly on labor and, as such, should be subjected to anti-trust laws. Imagine if a company did crap like this? They would be shut down and people would go to jail. Corruption, massive political contributions, intimidation…time to end their reign.
Public schools, too, are failing and obsolete. Close them down and privatize education. Save the excessive money paid for government bureaucracy and put it towards actual education. Small, local privately owned schools to give parents a choice, with tuition paid by tax dollars (as is done now, just at a lower cost per student).

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 7:49amI’ve never been associated with the way things run in schools before my daughter became a teacher. It was her dream. Since then, being very involved in helping her til late into the night – grading papers, etc. I’ve gotten quite an education myself. She is at work at 6 a.m. and stays til 9 p.m. most days working her can off. She is a very hands on teacher of 3rd grade. She happens to teach in an inner suburban school of Cleveland. She is not allowed to discipline or punish in any way. Period. Children don’t learn much fast – but they learn they don’t have to do the work and the teacher will get the blame. She gets students in all the time who can’t read. THIRD GRADE. She has to start at zero to teach them to even speak correctly. I have a devil of a time even trying to read the handwriting on the papers they do do. I want to tear my **** out. She’s patient though and besides the teaching aspects, is a nurse, mother, counselor, and more. Just for example, last year she had one mother, whose daughter would roll in at 11 a.m.ask her to pick up her daughter because she’s too tired in the morning to get her there. My daughter answered, you want me to leave 26 students and come get your daughter? There are a hundred stories like that. But the blame always falls on the teachers. I sit in her classroom and watch as she explains over and over a lesson and is constantly answering the same questions, only to have the child blow it off. They don’t want money as much as job secur

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 8:02amI didn’t get to finish with all that she goes through in her day. Most of her time is spent filling out government forms. And just to throw it in there – let’s say we pay teachers babysitter wages – lilke at $5.00 an hour per student. That’s 26 students at $5.00 an hour for 7 hours a day for 180 days. Adds up to $163,800.00. Our Ohio teachers make nowhere near that. Plus, that doesn’t include teaching them and all the other stuff they do – just babysitting. Maybe administration makes that kind of money but not teachers – and yes, they do Do it for the children. It’s a calling. Plus she paid “out of her pocket entirely” for her college education, plus 5 summers after that earning her masters degrees. No government help – just worked and paid for it because I was a single mom at that point. She paid way over $60,000.00 for her education in the first place. She just finished paying her loans when she was in her late 30′s. Like I said. I’ve learned a lot. When you go home from work and watch t.v. – she doesn’t. She grades papers, prepares lessons, goes to “mandated” meetings – which puts her further behind to do for the kids. Please people, wake up. Discipline has to start in the home. I see kids in her class that hunger for structure and discipline, but she is not allowed to give it or the parent comes marching to school :”protecting little Johnny”. I’ve watched this for 16 years now and can’t believe how backwards the public has this. It’s an illusion from

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 2:57pmThe answer is simple. The teachers acting this way have no business being near your children. Parents make your own protest wall protecting your children and the teachers who still work from the union members. Demand the union members not be allowed back in. Surely the future of your children is more valuable than a few missed days of work. Maybe the strikers can work at liberal Starbucks locations or as grocery checkout clerks. I would not let them teach my dog.

Posted on March 9, 2013 at 3:53pmI also live in Ohio. This is why we need school choice. The unions are able to hold our children’s future hostage. Two years ago my child was threatened by a public school employee. The employee is still employed today even after the police officer who investigated the case said she should lose her job. The city prosecutor gave my wife the run around, and we found this out through another city employee! The prosecutor was spineless because he didn’t want the case due to the high publicity it would cause. This is why I will vote no on the levy coming up! These people work for us, we don’t work for them!!!! And don’t get me started on the union. I wish these teachers would ask to see where their union dues go. How about cars for the union reps, golf outings, and much more!!!! I know this because I know some union reps, and they live very well. Better than most of the people he represents. While the teachers struggle to make ends meet the union reps live well!!!! Keep working hard teachers, the union cares for you. LOL

You can surrender if you want. If you pull all of the kids from good homes out of public schools, you get what we have today. If we are going to have public schools (now, there’s the real question), why completely surrender them to the left to recruit and train future leftists?

Posted on March 8, 2013 at 10:20pmThis is par for the course for herd animals. In truth, this particular tactic has been used all over the world, for at least decades.
It was actually done in my neighborhood, and brought to my attention by a Postal Union Steward, who lives across the street from my house. Technically, the perps don’t even have to have the exact addresses or names for the neighbors. They just send it to “Occupant” and send copies to multiple house numbers bracketing the target. It really didn’t have any effect in the neighborhood, as it is entirely (save one) populated by upwardly mobile yuppies that wouldn’t be caught dead in a union. I dare say that the net effect of the action was to raise the reputation of the person targeted.
In truth, the union steward thought the prank was pretty stupid. He went door to door and apologized to everyone in the neighborhood, though it wasn’t his union that had gone hog wild. He was just a straight up guy that realized this sort of thing fowls the nest for labor. He commented that most of these labor actions are formulated by grade school educations, and mentalities. I felt sorry for him, because it was plain he took such foolishness personally. Not everyone in labor respects these harebrained tactics.

The way to handle aggressive unions is to go after their leader – one good arse-kicking is usually all it takes to settle them down. What this non-union employee should do is find the addresses of all the striking parasites, and put them online.

They tried it with me in 1995, the guy with his little baseball bat took a swing at my classic car, but he didn’t expect a 45 in his face. Threats, while holding a weapon, are justification for an equal response. Get it? Get yer butts back to work or shut up. did I cross your little picket line? The ONLY good teacher is one who was in a school pre – 1980′s. I can contest to this because I come from a family who I am the only person who’s not a teacher or Supt. on both sides of the family – for three generations. I’ve heard and seen everything. And I can tell you that no matter how loud a teacher screams that “they aren’t one of the bad one’s”, you bet your **** that they ARE.
Now that the family is getting in the later years, I’m hearing from some exactly HOW they are set up to double dip on their pensions, and that they have this set up through the UNION!! These liberal psychoticly driven degenerates are bent on the complete take over of America and work diligently from generations gone by to accomplish a one world system of government subservient and completely compliant to their “all knowing” means of existence. They are driven by dark forces that I am not even sure that they are aware of or acknowledge. Not only will they stop at nothing but will remove any person or opposing force that stands in their way. They have invaded and use the Nited Nations and are pretty much in control of the United States with both parties subservient to them. Needless to say we are in deep trouble, and the only possible way to get out from under their dominion and control is to enlist the divine intervention and the commensurate powers of God Himself to break these yokes of bondage. In the natural it is an impossible task for the dark forces are exceedingly powerful and can only be checked and overpowered by the enlistment of the intervention of God Himself.
