Rep. Peter King dropped the verbal sparring for the actual physical kind Saturday night, stepping into the boxing ring to raise money for a friend’s business.
The New York Republican squared off in a two-round bout against former kickboxing champion “Irish” Josh Foley, according to the Associated Press.
“Come on, Pete! Go get him! Knock him down!” spectators in the 400-person crowd cheered, Newsday reported.
No winner was declared in the fight between the 68-year-old congressman and his 31-year-old opponent.
According to the AP, a watchdog group said the fight constituted an ethics violation for having King favor a particular business. The congressman said the fundraiser was appropriate.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 3:35amPeter King is worse than John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Obama put together.
King is a neocon fascist that believes America is the battleground and believes there’s a terrorist at every street corner.
Yet he nor Beck acknowledge our very own United States military is working with the Taliban overseas. We are sending tanks, arms, and ammo to Syrian Al Qaeda linked rebels and saying nothing.

King is a carbon tax loving, gun grabbing commie. He is the epitome of a progressive RINO.

Posted on March 10, 2013 at 6:59pmThank you Mr. King. I have been telling people for a long time that politics is nothing more than WWE under the disguise of We The People and a show for the public.

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 11:29amPerfect description, when the cameras are off, you can bet they are buddy, buddy. Plus King is one of the worst. Remember after the Tuscon shooting it was King who wanted a 1000 foot no gun zone around themselves. I like the Idea of no congressman allowed within a mile of a gun

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 4:01pmWould you be able to tell the difference?? Seriously, there is more ugly on that woman, than there is Manliness on Michelle Obama (which IS impressive, considering I thought Michelle was Barack for the first few weeks I had known about them…).

How is this different from congress passing laws everyday that favor certain groups or industries.

Posted on March 10, 2013 at 4:22pmHardley the same thing…. this is like the kids selling cup cakes for a dieing fellow student. Its personal, not stealing tax dollars to cover a friends business that is a failure like Obama paying billions of tax dollars to cover his supporters business. Do you understand the difference?

Posted on March 10, 2013 at 3:49pmOne of the best TV commercials I saw as a kid had the leaders of two opposing countries step into a ring and bear knuckle each other, as an option to having a full scale war. Maybe Congress can settle their differences the same way?

Posted on March 10, 2013 at 3:07pmKing doesn’t look to be in great shape physically but that’s not bad for a 68 yr old to go 2 rounds ,if you’ve ever been in the ring you know how taxing it is on the cardio.

Posted on March 10, 2013 at 3:06pmMaybe Congressman King would consider wearing that outfit to the next State of the Union speech, just to show Obozo the Conservatives mean business. Obama would shat in his mom jeans if he saw King in his ring attire.
