KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Officials say an Afghan police officer opened fire inside a police station while U.S. forces were visiting, sparking a firefight that killed two U.S. troops and three Afghan policemen.

Monday’s incident in Wardak province appears to be the latest in a series of insider attacks against coalition and Afghan forces. It comes a day after a deadline given by Afghans for U.S. special forces to withdraw from the province.

Deputy provincial Police Chief Abdul Razaq Koraishi says three Afghan officers were killed. A coalition military official says two U.S. forces were killed. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to disclose information pending an official statement.

The majority of U.S. troops in Wardak are special operations forces.

    I’ve got an idea, let’s just load up all our troops and leave then Karzai can figure out how to run that dungheap all by hisself. I’d give him a couple of days before he’s no longer amongst the living.

    Just another normal result from the ” We Are Announcing Our Withdrawal Date ” winning military strategist, Barack Obama. How any of our military can tolerate the idiots in this administration is beyond me. And for all of the families who have lost members fighting over there before the Obama Idiots took over, I send my deepest sympathies.

    Oops! I think that I read the story incorrectly!

    As long as the majority of Americans are oblivious to the treachery of our Sewer Rat-in-Chief and the majority of our Congress, we are going to be sacrificing our children and treasure for ???????

    How many thousands of acres of poppy plants are destroyed for every American soldier killed as punishment?

    What did the Romans do, salt the fields? Every dime sent to an Islamic nation, supports the religion of Islam, this is not about humanitarian aid anymore, this is about violating the civil rights of Americans who were promised by those who swore to defend the US Constitution, that there would be no establishment of religion by using their tax dollars sent to Islamic nations?

    I saw Hagel this morning denying Karzai’s accusation that the U.S. is working with the Taliban…after the U.S. has admitted negotiations with the Taliban. This guy is clueless. Karzai is actually stating fact for a change.

      I agree wasn’t this one of Obama’s first term promises? You can’t bring these people into the 21st century they are so stuck in the past. Stop sacrificing our people for a lost cause. We should pull all our people out now.
