Ted Nugent Says He Killed 455 Hogs With a Machine Gun From a Helicopter for Bill Maher

Conservative icon, rocker and passionate gun rights advocate Ted Nugent says that he killed 455 hogs with a machine gun from a helicopter in Texas last weekend for “Bill Maher and all those other animal rights freaks out there,” according to RumorFix.
During an interview with SiriusXM’s Brett Winterble, Nugent told the whole tale.
“I took my machine gun in the helicopter — in the Texas hill country – me and my buddy ‘Pigman’ … his name is ‘Pigman’ – I’m the swine czar. I killed 455 hogs with my machine gun. I did it for Bill Maher and all those other animal rights freaks out there,” Nugent said.
Nugent, of course, didn’t let all that pork go to waste. He said they “distributed tons of the most delicious pork to the soup kitchens and the homeless shelters of this state (Texas).”
“Everything we did was perfect,” he added. “Win, win, win.”
Mediaite’s Matt Wilstein also points out that Nugent tweeted the following message back in January, indicating that helicopter pig hunting may be somewhat of a past-time for the 64-year-old.
Nugent says he fired off 750 rounds a minute to help the environment because wild pigs are known to destroy the region’s natural habitat, according to RumorFix.
“Texas’s feral hog population exceeds 1.5 million, according to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. That number continues to grow because of the animal’s high reproduction potential and its limited natural predators,” Huffington Post reports.
Nugent concluded, “I had to adjust my halo as I was machine-gunning hogs.”

Posted on March 12, 2013 at 12:06amWay to go Ted! Had a good hunting day I see. Hogs are a real pain/pest for ranchers and farmers down here. They tear up the land and crops for sure. AR type semi-autos, machine guns, and sniper rifles definitely do the job and feed a lot of people too. Hogs are dangerous too. They can rip a man up pretty good if not kill them. Deer can too. Good friend of mine was attacked by a buck. Dam near killed him. He had to lifeflighted to San Antonio. Punched several holes in him with his antlers.
The liberal idiots wanna take guns and leave everyone completely helpless. They should be invited to Texas for a good hog hunt….take them hog hunting w/o a gun and see how they do w/o a gun. When they come up on an angry boar, we’ll see what happens. When the pig gets done with them, we’ll have to use a shovel to pick up what’s left of them and put the leftovers in a trash sack.
Texans I must admit are very well armed. They have full auto machine guns, helicopters, armed ATVs, hummers, semi-autos, and bolt-action/semi-auto sniper rifles that outperform the best military/law enforcement sniper rifles that are used for hunting purposes as well as self-defense.
There was a New Year’s party here in Texas back in the late nineties…..150 Howitzers were fired at midnight. The 150 shells being fired/exploding could be heard 20 miles away. No one was arrested although live 150 shells were found by police at several people’s residence. The 150 Howitzers were never found/confiscated.

I’ve never heard Uncle Ted once say he wants to shoot humans. Quite the opposite in fact, he’s a law abiding gun owner who thinks anyone who uses a gun in a crime should be dealt with severely. If YOU want to see Muslims droned, say so.
But for God sake don’t put words in anyone else’s mouth, it’s cheap and stupid to do so.

Posted on March 12, 2013 at 12:22pm@burnt…exactly. I wish they would come south of San Antonio. There are actually hogs large enough in the brush country for the local paper to put warnings to the general public to be on the look out because they are bold enough and strong enough to kill and eat a full grown cow close to the public golf course and are tearing up peoples’ yards in rural towns. You do not want to let your kids or dogs out and slow cats are in real trouble. They are incredibly destructive to the natural wildlife, too. They kill and eat fawns that are laid down my thier doe moms and the poor little things don’t move until it is too late. Turkey nests are raided regularly. They have a ‘nose’ for finding these. They tear through fencing like it’s spagetti and foul water holes with their poop…incredibly destructive.

Posted on March 12, 2013 at 12:30pmCome on down to Texas and try to keep that philosophy. These beasts will bankrupt a grass farmer or a rancher faster than the obaba admin is spending money on vacations. You have got to kill the whole herd or a pregnant sow will repopulate faster than you can replant your fields. They kill and eat wildlife and domestic livestock at a rate that would astonish most. Anyone that thinks pigs are just vegetarians are way wrong. Although, the snake population goes way down when a large herd in in the area…they slurp then up like spaghetti….

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 11:22pmGimme a helicopter and a machine gun, I’ll write a song about it?
Just give me some riffs, I’ll figure out the lyrics? Maybe this will work?
Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum,
Shooting Hogs is fun,
Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum,
750 rpm is fun,
Pierce Morgans Tongue,
is dragging the ground in the sun,
what did Ted Nugent do?
He gave me a chopper to pursue,
no more porky pig’s iou,
tired of destruction from you,
the hogs know they had it coming,
and now they think they’re running,
but there’s no where to hide,
its time for hogs to die,
we found a soup kitchen for you?
Dum Dum Dum Dum,
Killing hogs is fun,
Oh watch them run,
At $10 a bullet,
we really shouldn’t do it,
but its the safest way to get them,
and not be rude?
Dum Dum Dum Dum,
Shooting hogs is fun?
Works for me.
You can huss and fuss,
you can pout and plead,
but you can’t stop reading blogs like these?

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 11:19pmWhen there are that many and they are that big of a menace, costing who knows how many dollars worth of damage to property, they don’t need a sporting chance. They just need to be eliminated. They breed way to quickly and don’t really have any natural enemies in the wild. It’s not the same as deer hunting. These hogs are in need of some serious population control!

Not real sporting? You ever try shooting from a helicopter? It is NOT easy! Even if you have a fully automatic weapon, it is not easy. I would love some veteren helicopter crew cheif weigh in on this one.
Now, I haven’t tried it, but I’m a bit of a military historian and of the hundreds of accounts I have read about the Viet Nam era, it is difficult to learn the art of arial gunnery.
Any vets out there who can give first hand accounts?

Never been to either. I left this for you on that other story;
I still have to put together the mini Monk dictionary so people will “understand” what I’m saying.
Yes, “understand” is one of the words. In a Monk’s world the word “understand” is one step up from “intemperate” and means “to stand underneath or below the truth”.
The 4 steps in knowing are;
1- intemperate
2- understand
3- realize (Realize the truth of something)
4- recognize (Recognize the truth when you see it again)
There’s a breeze for you. : )

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 11:06pmThis is a perfect reason to have a machine gun! Do y’all know how hard it is to kill a lot of those suckers? They’re tearing up everything and they are a menace. Just one more unintended consequence of government regulations. I’m with Ted, “The second amendment IS my concealed carry license.” Also, I believe the second amendment was put in place to protect us from tyrants, and that means we should have similar firepower. I see nothing wrong with law abiding citizens having automatic rifles.
