America In Denial: Beck & O’Reilly Break Down the Head-In-the-Sand Approach to the Debt Crisis (and the Alan Colmes Confrontation)

America has two very serious problems: Its national debt and the refusal on the part of many to admit that the debt is actually, well, a problem.

Indeed, just listening to several prominent Democrats, you’d think that the nation’s finances were in order. Unfortunately, this just isn’t the case:

Glenn Beck & Bill OReilly Discuss Americas Debt Crisis Denial

“Nobody can be convinced,” Glenn Beck told Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly on Monday.

“You’re absolutely right that they’re in denial, which is why I had to get Alan Colmes’ attention,” O’Reilly added, referring to a recent argument he and left leaning Fox contributor Alan Colmes got into over federal spending and cuts.

“Alan is a nice guy, but he’s wrong on this,” Beck said.

“[Colmes] was kind of right, but in a total spin sort of way. And I don’t even think he knew he was spinning,” Beck added. “When he’s talking about cutting the money for the states, that’s not to help the deficit, that’s to collapse the medical system as we know it so everybody can be rushed into one single payer program.”

Meanwhile, top Democrats assure American voters that our debt problem isn’t that bad. If anything, we have a “paying for things” problem.

“At one point several weeks ago,” House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told the Wall Street Journal’s Stephen Moore, “the president said to me, ‘We don’t have a spending problem.’”

“We have to make a judgment about what — how do we get growth with jobs?” Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said during on Fox News interview. “That’s where the revenue comes from … So, it isn’t as much a spending problem as it is a priorities [problem], and that is what the budget is, setting priorities.”

“First of all, I want to disagree with those who say we have a spending problem. Everyone keeps saying we have a spending problem,” said Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA). “Is it a spending problem? No, it’s because we have a misallocation of capital, a misallocation of wealth.”

“Does the country have a — the country has a paying-for problem,” Rep. Stenny Hoyer (D-Md.) said during a testy exchange on CNBC. “We haven’t paid for what we’ve bought.”

O’Reilly is just one of the talking heads guarding the inhabitants of Bullsh*t Mountain from rejoining the world of the sane. Fox News is a propaganda machine which dumbs down America by the day through disinformation and their slanted agendas. See their anchors spewing forth feces from their mouths in my visual homage to the network on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-fox-news-scylla-guardian-of-bullsht.html

Okay, enough already of Glenn on Bill’s show and Bill on Glenn’s show! What I would like to see is an actual “debate” between the two. Let both Bill and Glenn come up with 10 questions for the other side, and give each five minutes to make their point. While I like Bill and his show, he seems to talk down to Glenn, and Glenn never seems to get a word in edgewise! Glenn has so much more information and latitude in his show, than Bill does. The Network (Fox) still holds the purse strings for Bill. I would really like to hear them both, uninterrupted by the other!

I always look forward to seeing Beck when he appears on O’Reilly’s show. Goofy or
not, he and Bill have a good friendship. They really DO like one another. Or have you
forgotten they traveled together on the Bold and Fresh tour for awhile? If Beck didn’t
want to appear on FOX, do you think he is too shy to tell FOX ”No?”

Keep on the “Armour of +JESUS+GOD+” when speaking with Mr. O’ Reilly Pride & Jealousy are his lot,he always expresses those tendencies when speaking with Glenn Beck,Arrogance precedes the attempt to make one uncomfortable,he comes across as Glenn Beck is a nobody when actually it is he who is the nobody, Mr. O’ Reilly has a Golden opportunity to “overcome his own resentment he continually reflects” you are only a reflection of what you think of others through +CHRIST+ JESUS+ is the only way to the +FATHER GOD+ not through Saints or Mary,The Catholic Church is not the True Church of +JESUS+GOD+.

What the….!??? You obviously don’t understand the dynamic between Bill & Glenn. You read that all wrong. And ….may I humbly suggest that you also know very little about the Catholic (Universal)Church doctrine. They believe salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. Mary and the Saint are asked to pray for us…No real Catholic Worships Mary or the Saints. Next time you want to attack Catholics do some reading before you show your ignorance.

Tea Party brought the issue up years ago and where was O’Reilly’s shouting to Colmes then? He now wants to make a showing….now…..after the 2012 elections are over. Then he will get on and brag about how important and inciteful he is. Glenn Beck is too nice to actually call O’Reilly out on it. He politely agrees.
Yes, anger is needed and a wakeup is needed for the moron Democrats who claim there is no spending problem and the apathetic moron voters. But what really angers me is that it needed to be done a few years back. Tea Party and Glenn Beck tried but it was no loud enough and where the H**l was O’Reilly then……trying to be mr. stand on the fence fair and balanced and partying it up at the White House.

Do you think Glenn is supposed to have red flames buzzing out of his ears 24 hours a day over the end freedom in our world? He’s a person. If he doesn’t joke around a bit then he’d have a hemorrhaging brain, massive hemorrhoids, with his body’s intestinal track inflaming so large that they’d be strangling the outside of his body and pulling in prisoners. Chill out. Your mind can be naturally on crack and still solve problems. P.S. Glenn’s ear lobes are fat pudgy floppy and really cute. Just don’t tell my husband. Muhahahahha!

However, seeing their show on the road together, it was Glenn’s show really, and it was Bill who was the straight man. Sometimes Glenn gets NUTS on his own show, but I still watch him 4 hours a day, and love to hear what he always has to say. When he’s NUTS, I just grin and bear it, and when he’s serious I listen.

O’Reilly was wrong… it’s not ‘nobody can be convinced’, it’s ‘the people who could change the course refuse to listen.’

Lots of people too far down the food chain to ‘matter’ know.
Honestly, their insight, critical thinking, and preparation may help soften the landing when it does ‘get real.’

and I hope that happens sooner rather than later… to make it less severe and to have it hit those who helped create it, rather than our kids.
