Libyan Cleric Issues Fatwa on U.N. Document on Womens Rights

Mufti al-Sadiq al-Ghiryani, Libya’s supreme religious cleric, has issued a fatwa (religious edict) against a new United Nations document on women’s rights claiming it defies shariah law. 

The document is to be signed by nations at the 57th session of the Commission on the Status of Women this month, according to the Associated Press.

The cleric’s bone of contention is that Islamic law favors witnesses for a divorce while the U.N. document mandates judicial involvement. Also a source of ire for the mufti is a provision in the U.N. document related to matters of inheritance, whereby it states that women are equal to men.

While Al-Ghiryani says his concern is that it places the full burden on women to equally share in household expenses, it is perhaps more likely that his concern lay in granting equal status for women.  

Another verboten item that has upset the cleric relates to wording on sexual freedoms and the rights of children born out of wedlock, the AP reports.

With the wave of al-Qaeda operatives filling the vacuum left by Moammar Gadhafi’s ouster, it is likely that advancing the cause of women’s rights in Libya will become an increasingly uphill battle moving forward.

      As to worshipping satan.Actually that would be a step down.Its direct you know who you are worshipping and last but not least the conditions are pretty clear.Try that in Islam that changes its mind more often than they change their underwear.They are never clear in anything but the fact that that they wish to kill the infidel.
      They lie cajole threaten issue fatwas at the drop of a hat.Please Satan would be disgusted ashamed and downright dismayed to be associated with something that evil and confusing.Afterall the Devil has standards they don’t.

    Shariah law is a dangerous political movement that feeds on fear, and violates the human rights of every citizen on the planet, if you want to obey the law, you can not please God unless you want to do it of your own free will, you don’t declare war on other people without asking for them to destroy you out of self defense?

    Why don’t you just come and say it, life stinks, please kill us? What else do you call these acts of suicide? We did not tolerate the opinions of Hitler, and he was a popular person? Every dime sent to an Islamic nation, supports the religion of Islam, and they are quite proud of that fact, and act like bullies daring anyone to stop them, while they violate the civil rights of Americans by getting their elected representatives to trust them for only one reason, to take away their power, and remove civil rights not only from Americans, but citizens around the world?

    You do you people think you are talking to, people that are not descendents of those who have eaten from the fruit of the tree of knowledge? Not even Christians force their believers to observe every piece of parchment found from the past, they test all things, and hold on to that which good faith produces results?

    You know the tree by the fruit? God has blessed China and America, not Shariah Law? What good is a bible if it says, be fruitful and multiply, but you cherish death and refuse to provide for children?

    Mufti Al Sadiq Al Ghiryani was seen in drag at a UN Conference sporting a woman’s face, painted on eyebrows that appeared to defy gravity, and a Hamas headband that covered his, I mean her, unsightly black ****. He was heard to say, “this thong is bunching up and WTF is wrong with this bra closure?” His close aids declared that all the garments were designed by men for women’s pleasure and comfort so the Mufti issued a FATWA on all the designers of thongs and woman’s brassieres world wide declaring them an “offense” and “insult” to Islam everywhere. In other news: the Mufti’s wife was seen at the opening of the Victoria’s Secret Lingerie Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia buying up every single new set of underwire bra and thong panty sets she could with his American Express Gold Card.

    Islam is still fighting the old Crusades. So how are they going to reform their attacks on women’s human rights? Sharia law is whatever the Mullah’s say it is on any given day.       SHORE: I catch your drift. I have another thought. I fully expect that when the Muslims feel they have big enough numbers on their side, the car bombs are going to be going off inside our major hubs and not just at some Afghan market place. So-called moderate Muslims are simply people keeping a low profile but only for now. Otherwise, why don’t they come out in at least small numbers to protest the evils of radical Islam? I believe I know the answer. Most Muslims living here support the most radical Mullahs!
