Colorado State Senate just passed five new gun control measures and Republican lawmakers are up in arms over a controversial measure that will ban shotgun magazinesthat hold more than 28 inches of shells. Colorado Rep. Cory Gardner joined ‘Wilkow!‘ to talk about Colorado cracking down on guns and the state’s controversial gun proposals. Watch a clip below:

It is time for the Colorado voter to speak up at the ballot box. We are blessed and cursed with a state constitution that can be amended by the citizens. It is time to start a petition for amendment for a common sense state amendment that strengthens our gun rights and enforces the US 2nd. Something to the affect of: “The right of self-defense being the most basic of human rights, The state shall not pass or enforce any law that restricts or infringes on a law abiding adult citizen of sound mind’s right to own and bare any firearm or firearm accessory. A law abiding citizen being defined as any non-felon not currently legally incarcerated. Of sound mind defined as any individual not currently institutionalized for the reason of being a threat to others and/or themself. Any willfull attempt to pass legislation to the contrary or enforce such legislation shall be deemed a felony.”

Good point. What I want to know is who are these people who want to ban guns? Did these people transplant from like New York, New Jersey or California. I mean really I always thought Colorado was much like AZ only more mountains.. Plus not quite as hot in the summer and generally colder in the winter, but Gun bans, REALLY>>>

  read before foolish statements. It says 28 INCHES of magazine, not 28 rounds. A shotgun has a tubular mag under the barrel. 28 INChes of magazine is well under 10 rounds. But of course, guns frighten you, like many effeminate people. Its called hoplophobia. Maybe you can get a disability claim out of it little person. Run from liberty with fright, little serf

What judge in the United States is going to stand up for the People, and send a message to politicians, either work on an amendment to the US Constitution, or you will force other judges to make sure you don’t waste our time in courts of law attacking civil rights of citizens with punishment we have not seen before?

As bad as the fools are acting in the Dem controlled Colorado Senate, as long as they keep their draconian slavery in their own backyard, I can live with it. Here in Florida we don’t have the same internal enemies against American human rights. Any anti-constitutional bills enacted in Colorado can be eventually over turned. That’s on them. In the meanwhile, the Feds need to keep their sticky fingers off of my gun rights. Thanks.

Any gun law is unconstitutional, we the people have just let the progressives take away our gun rights little by little .No matter how hard you communist bastards try you will never take my guns . My question to you is Is it worth dying over ? For Me and Millions of Americans it is .MALON LABE

  It “Should Be” unconstitutional, however the Supreme Court has ruled otherwise, that moderate regulation is allowed. In Colorado, we have the right to amend our Constitution at the ballot box. I think it is time to make “should be” a reality.

Just about every gun owner who hunts has one or more of these guns. This is getting serous. By the time this works through the courts in Co. 10s of thousands of guns will be confiscated and likely destroyed or 10s of thousands of gun owners will be criminals. This will get real ugly. Time to hide what you value.

  Oh, they understand the Second Amendment very, very well- that’s why they want to disarm us. They can’t control a populace that can shoot back, and they know it probably better than we do. I say that because there’s not been any real protest or affirmative action against these communist liberal control freaks in either government or in the general populace.
  Perhaps it’s a waiting game and everyone is gathering the hemp and tar.
