‘A Social Agenda That Crosses Color Lines’: Black Americans Speak Out in Support of the Second Amendment
During his Wednesday evening broadcast, Glenn Beck hosted special guest Star Parker, a conservative activist and founder of C.U.R.E. — the Center for Urban Renewal and Education — which recently released a hard-hitting ad entitled “Never Again.” Also on the program was actor and conservative Joseph Phillips, and Kira Ayn Davis, an Internet radio host and blogger, to discuss their views on the Second Amendment and the role of blacks in this important ongoing debate.
Beck opened the segment by featuring a clip of vice president Joe Biden’s cringe-inducing “back in chains” comment made during the 2012 presidential campaign, which the panel agreed was patently offensive to people of all walks.
The panel discussed slavery and the history of how African Americans were disarmed during and prior to the Civil War. This was a means, according to Parker, of keeping them in control.
Phillips said he is tired of seeing films of blacks cowering in fear against the likes of the KKK or anyone else who sought to do them harm, rather than be empowered to stand up and defend themselves. The panel explained that when the KKK began, local sheriffs would break into black homes and confiscate their weapons. Weeks later, a KKK group would, according to Davis, then attack that home.
The Second Amendment “is an issue, as a black American, of our freedom,” Davis said.
Parker also took on the issue of background checks as it relates to and will effect the black community in America.
“Conservatives have failed at telling our story,” Davis explained. “One of the stories we need to bring back…is reminding black folks that…we have good reason to be distrustful of government, so why would you invite more government into your life? We don’t want this. It has been dangerous to us in the past.”
“We are also fighting a social agenda that crosses color lines,” Phillips explained.
He added that the idea of owning guns in today’s society “makes you crazy and suspect, whereas to eschew guns makes you good, and righteous… and noble.”
“And that is some heavy stuff to fight. It is more than just telling a story it is standing up and saying enough is enough.”
The panel believes social media is a valuable tool in reaching the black community to develop their own ads and own messaging.
The panel continued their discussion on crime, government dependency and eduction and how those elements relate to gun control in the black community.
The message the panel delivered was clear, if blacks lose their constitutional rights, so too will the rest of the country.

Posted on March 14, 2013 at 3:45amIt is an interesting fact, Nimodo, that the first recorded slave owner in America was a black man.
In those long past days, it was common for people both black and white to be indentured, or to indenture themselves in order to pay, in many cases, for their passage to America. These indentures were for a specific period of time, commonly five or seven years, and the indentured servant was then free. A “freed man”.
It was also common practice that a freed man was gifted a small parcel of land, often 50 acres, that he might support himself and contribute to the community.
Then along came Anthony Johnson…
http://cofcc.org/2012/03/americas-first-slave-owner-was-a-black-man/
Once this became accepted practice, free people began to worry about slave revolt as the slaves, who were mostly but not exclusively black, initially did not take to kindly to this development. Guns and education were gradually prohibited to slaves, and the rest is history.

Posted on March 14, 2013 at 3:46amThe liberal education system seems to forget that it was the Republicans, conservatives to be precise, that gave blacks the ability to vote, they were the first black US Senator, Congressman, first Hispanic Senator, Congressman, and Mayor. The GOP gave them the chance to do whatever they wanted during the reconstruction. That is until Woodrow Wilson introduced segregation into the Federal government. And it was those white Democrats that opposed these minorities from claiming there place in the Congress and leadership roles. Learn more about these first, these Republican minorities that really made a difference: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fastfacts/historical-conquest-the-game

Truth is on their side. Black people are always talking about overcoming and being strong, yet they choose to stay tethered to the political party that works to keep them victims because they don’t know the truth.

Disarmament of Israel.
Not a single smith was to be found anywhere in Israel, for the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears. All Israel, therefore, had to go down to the Philistines to sharpen their plowshares, mattocks, axes, and sickles. The price for the plowshares and mattocks was two thirds of a shekel, and a third of a shekel for sharpening the axes and for setting the ox-goads. And so on the day of battle neither sword nor spear could be found in the hand of any of the soldiers with Saul or Jonathan. Only Saul and his son Jonathan had them.

Posted on March 13, 2013 at 10:37pmIf the African American community is violent then why make it easier for criminals to have guns?
Or is Mr. Beck making the point that most blacks have criminal records and so can’t buy guns legally.? The criminal records come from oppression. So then there is racism in America and the playing field isn’t level.
Is Mr, Beck contradicting his statements from last year that the laws have swung too far in favor of blacks? Is he now denying his statements of two weeks ago that a race war is coming and black gang members can’t wait to kill white people.
Knowing his past statements it is not wise to trust Glenn Beck.
KKK doesn’t equal government KKK equals whites.
The only reason Blacks need to be distrustful of government is because government is white.

Posted on March 14, 2013 at 3:07amActually, Mary, the KKK was a creature of the Democratic party.
What many people don’t realise is that throuh the course of your history, the KKK were responsible for some 4500 lynchings (roughly). Of these, some 3500 were blacks.
So who were the other 1000 people? Thet were republicans or republican activists. That seems incredible, but one has to remember that the Republican party was not always the juggernaut that it is today. It was once a tiny, struggling orgnisation that was supported by the mjority of black people.
The main function of the KKK, the ranks of which have always filled with democrats, was the supression of the fledgling republican party – the black person’s party. Until the last few years, there were serving congressmen who were then, or once, supporters of the KKK. You might be able to recall some of thei names.
“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince people that he did not exist.”
It seems that the democratic party has mastered asimilar trick…

When my rights to arm myself are infringed, soon follow, our freedom of speech right will be gone.
Our founding fathers knew “the pen is mightier than the sword”. That is why our free speech is in the First Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed is in the Second Amendment. They, as well as you know, without the “sword” the “pen” will be silenced.

As long as the master is doing ok that proves the society is just, no matter the deprivations suffered by the wage slaves.
And the master protects himself by insulating himself from the rabble with a layer of the gullible who he tells that they too can be masters one day..
But that will never happen. Manana is always manana.
Everyone knows the term RINO. Republican in name only..
So everyone knows it’s possible to share a name and be something entirely different.
A progressive today is not a progressive of yesteryear.
Glenn Beck told you for 5 years that Nazi’s were socialists, all because they used the same name. But he admitted it wasn’t so. Nazis are fascists, a right wing ideology. The same name but very different things.
Once we get back to reality we can accomplish something together. A grand conspiracy is a fairy tale.

So much of what you say is just incorrect; you would have me believe names remain the same but people change and that on its face is historically and instinctually untrue.
You do paint a fair description of what progressivism has done in creating gullible government dependency.
You contend we trade one master for another because one is surely lying about individual liberty and a man’s ability to find his own why to some degree of success, you somehow think I need a pol to tell me what my God given rights and abilities are.
You believe instead I should hand my blood sweet and tears over to a master who lets me know what I can and can’t do.
