Watch the Fake North Korean Propaganda Video That Hysterically Depicts U.S. as Murderous Dystopian Wasteland

An alleged propaganda video out of North Korea depicts America as a dangerous dystopia where citizens buy guns to “kill each other,” the streets are piled high with body bags and people are forced to eat birds to survive.

“This is Americans live today,” a narrator says in the video, according to an English translation. “Drinking coffee made from snow, and living in tents and buying guns to kill each other — especially children.”

The narrator follows up with the fact that “some people complain about the guns” that are killing everyone in the streets.

“American” and Green Bay Packer fan lives in a tent in dystopian American society (YouTube)

No birds in the trees because “Americans” ate them all (YouTube)

Attention is then focused on the apparent lack of birds in the trees, which the narrator notes is due to the fact that Americans living in tents have killed and eaten them in order to survive. And of course people are addicted to heroin and drink coffee made of snow in this made-up version of America.

Though American houses “blow down very easily,” the American Red Cross offers materials graciously provided by North Korea to help Americans struggling through unthinkable poverty, the narrator claims.

The narrator also notices how Americans have sneakily “disguised” certain parts of the county to look like foreign countries Europe.

Additionally, a “former Republican candidate from Oregon” makes a cameo to display just how far the nation had fallen. He is forced to get coffee made of snow from trucks.

“They are very grateful to their government for these handouts,” the narrator adds.

The video’s authenticity has not been confirmed at this point and some are calling the video a hoax. It’s also not clear whether the video, posted on Chinese website Ifeng, actually originated out of North Korea. Either way, it’s a pretty entertaining video.

UPDATE: Confirming the suspicions of many, the Huffington Post reports the video above is indeed a hoax.

The man behind the farce? British travel writer Alun Hill, who doesn’t speak a word of Korean.

Hill told The Huffington Post over the phone Wednesday that he received the original video from North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency, which said it depicts the failure of European democracy.

  I though that was hilarious. I especially liked the couple sitting on a bench with their friends in body bags nearby! Not able to afford to bury their dead, Americans bag them up and carry them around!

  Actually this is fairly accurate for Detroit and other inner cities, I have spent some time in LA’s skid row and there are people there that are much worse off than the snow-drinkers in this video.

  Keep this video in mind the next debate over guns, or budget, or energy policy. This pile of BS is ‘good enough’ for North Korea to stay on top of their population for the last 60 years!
  
  Progressives don’t have to win their arguments logically! They just grab power and rationalize it while using economic and political power to force people into supporting their causes. No sane person would believe this stuff, but in North Korea’s case all they have to do is tell their people to ‘believe this or else…’.
  
  So, the next time you are debating gun control and say something like ‘Criminals don’t obey laws, why would they obey gun laws.’, you are wasting your time and playing right into their hands, because you are treating their rationalization of power grabbing behavior as if it’s an argument. They don’t want to make people safer and have a naive idealistic way of doing it…they just want to grab power and are using bad arguments as a smokescreen…just like the North Koreans are using crap like this to justify a hawkish foreign policy.

  Fake or not, sadly that’s an accurate representation of our country. Especially the part about the snow, at least in the Northeast. They’ve experienced and record number of serious snowstorms this year. And it’s true that snow is sold as coffee, and equally true that the employment rate and economy improved after the government cut taxes rates for the rich during the previous administration.
  
  Following those tax cuts, the deficit was reduced (all those job creators created all those jobs), unemployment was reduced, and the economy boomed just like an a-bomb. And the average American could finally get coffee which was actually snow, where before it was just snow.
  
  As part of the five year plan, your Government wants to further shift the wealth of the Nation to the richest, so that the middle class and poor will benefit yet again! Your cup of snow will runneth over!

  There are many statist here in the us that wish they could get away such propaganda, and are currently trying their best to scilence people bringing truth i.e. Andrew Breitbart. The statist have a pretty good reign on the main stream media, including Fox News and TheBlaze, who all are trying to justify all these wars with their own propaganda news stories. But most who has been fed their whole life on the propaganda and feel unpatriotic by doing their own research, are almost as duped as the North Koreans.

  In the last 4 years we have greatly increased homeless, hungry people. The income and worth of the middle class has fallen like never before. This was what America will look like in the 7th year of the adminstration. By then there will not be any money left for socialism to take, so socialism will have to go somewhere else.
