Thousands of Conservatives and politicians are gathering in Washington this week for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Much of the talk in the hallways has been about who is not attending (NJ Gov. Chris Christie, gay GOP groups like GOProud and Log Cabin Republicans, and crusader Pamela Geller, TheBlaze’s SE Cupp). Still, we at TheBlaze are working on connecting with the rising stars of the Conservative movement who are at the conference — like Allen West.

Former Congressman Allen West will be one of the first speakers on the Thursday schedule. Wednesday night, TheBlaze caught up with Mr. West and asked what’s on the horizon for him politically.

“I’m not finished yet,” he said cryptically. “I have more to do.”

Javier Manjarres of The Shark-Tank.net is also bouncing around the conference talking with congressman and senators. In one very entertaining interview with first-term Utah Senator Mike Lee, Manjarres learns that the Senator is bilingual, capable of speaking Spanish with great ease and proficiency. I called up his campaign office during the election because I wanted to contribute. But sadly I wasn’t able to. Why? Because they had more integrity than any democrat alive. Because I’m a Canadian they couldn’t accept my money. Now try that with the Clintons or Obama’s or any other democrats election machine. They gladly take as much cash as they can from foreign naturals (ie: governments). At least West’s own machine was legal and proper to the letter. Kudos to him and them. I’d gladly donate funds to whatever he does in the future. But I respect why I may not be able to, as well as respect them greatly.

Where do I send money? This sounds like the type of conservative movement we need. The reason Ronald Reagan was called the “Great Communicator” is because he was able to articulate why conservativism is the best governing ideology for everybody. He didn’t “widen the tent” to let in groups who want to destroy the freedoms of everyone else for the sake of their own selfish interests. You want to be gay? Knock yourself out, just don’t tell the government to make my church bless your unholy unions and try to force me to accept your lifestyle just so you can feel good about your poor decisions.

Allen West is an interesting guy as it relates to blazers. The typical blaze reader is a racist, but West makes them feel good about themselves, because now they can tell their friends about the black politician they support. A shallow attempt to cleanse a life time of hate. Shameful people. Keep praying for him though. It’s the act of doing nothing, but still feel good about yourself. Americans en mass have politically said radicalism on the right is no longer acceptable.

Go away. Sorry but Mr West is a big government republican. He NEVER voted on anything that shrunk the federal government. He was always right their with the “party” leadership. He talked a good game, just never followed through when push came to shove.

Go look at his voting record on the big issues: CISPA, NDAA, Patriot Act, Budget Control Act, Budget reconciliations, etc, etc, etc.

  First, a proper investigation into the explosions NUMEROUS witness heard below them, Able Danger, etc. I’d then fire everyone who screwed up, and/or bring charges against those who were complicit or negligent. I’d stop issuing student Visa’s to nations waging Jihad against us (a Bill Ron Paul proposed btw that received no cosponsors), then I’d let the oceans and their lack of a navy do the rest.   I can and do understand the desire to tell the rest of the world to go to hell and that day may come but it would not have been my first choice.

  See to me a truther has a view that just does not sit with the facts.
  Now if and only if the buildings would have been taken down without the planes flying into them and arrests or allegations were made concerning who was to blame than I would discuss that issue further.
  
  Let me ask you this. Have you ever heard a transformer go off or a major electrical short? They can rock your windows.
  This could and almost certainly did happen as soon as the planes made contact. These buildings have huge electrical rooms with many transformers. So I do not doubt that people heard noises from below. That is generally where these rooms are located.

  No, a truther believes without question the whole event was pre-staged by a nefarious government to thrust us into war and take away our rights. I don’t believe that. I watched the planes hit the towers hit the towers too. However there are some parts of the official story that doesn’t seem likely the way it’s told, which could be nothing more than a cover up of someone’s incompetence so I reckon there’s a little ‘truther’ in me. To be honest I don’t know what to believe because I don’t work in a field that would have any special insight. I’d like better explanations and more transparency on the events, but that subject is now taboo, which in itself seems odd.
  
  What I was trained in left me quite comfortable saying that middle eastern countries we’re fighting are VERY weak militarily and pose no real threat to us.
  
  Besides all that, what good is it to save our country if we don’t preserve the traditions and rights that comes with it? I believe in natural law, and I believe all those making excuses to deny us our rights aren’t noble people at all and should be excluded from high positions in our government.
