Dana Loesch Discusses CPAC Controversy: ‘More Voices, Not Less’

There has been a lot of less than warm discussion of CPAC this year from both the left and right, with a growing number of political commentators questioning the diminishing role of the Republican Party at the convention, and if the convention itself could be negative fore the party. Supporters argue that CPAC — which should be noted is in its fortieth year — is a convention for the conservative movement, not the Republican Party.

Conservative talk radio host and CPAC veteran Dana Loesch joined “Wilkow!” remotely from the conference Thursday to talk about the controversy surrounding CPAC, how the number of males speaking outnumbers females 2 to 1, and CPAC and Republicans backing Pro-Gay marriage conservative groups banned from sponsoring the event.

Republicans and Conservatives are not necessarily the same. Quit confusing the matter.

This is what you must know:

Yes, yes, more voices. May I suggest Chris Christie and Rob Portman?

    It is so.

Too many liberals like Christie. That should be all we need to know. Now he’s getting endorsements from Mayors of all-black boroughs in N.J. Sorry, not a conservative.

Dana has always supported our Tea Party efforts west side of St Louis. Thank you for being our voice.

I only want to say that I only know Dana from following her on Twitter. I saw her on TV the other day and let me say, pictures do her no justice. She’s a gorgeous woman.

Dana is fantastic. She is a voice of reason and is able to articulate conservative values very well. She is going to be big! Her radio program is fantastic. She does speak for alot of women. Women can see through some of the efforts by the Democrats who use war on women as a publicity tool. Dana tells it like it is.

I hope to keep seeing more and more of Dana. She is a straight shooter and in my opinion, connects with the younger set. She is hip, smart and just has something that pulls you in. I have ditched Rush’s show for Dana’s. 97.1 The Talk.

I wish they would make her a regular lineup on Blaze TV and/or Blaze Radio!!

…and on 97.1, Dana is right after Glenn Beck.

Two other positives for Dana. She likes Scotch whiskey ( her husband’s favorite is Laphroig, as is mine), and she is easy on the eyes (sorry, husband who likes Scotch, but you knew that already didn’t ya?) as well.

It is unfortunate to see conservatives falling into the same intolerant, arrogant patterns and behaviors we condemn the Libs for. CPAC has been a great example of this, the ever increasing number of people taking the position that the only acceptable conservative is the conservative that agrees with me. Some have even taken the position not to participate in CPAC at all and support the many important and necessary issues if CPAC didn’t conform to their definition and embrace gay groups. I hate to inform those people but everyone who does not support gay marriage is not a member of “Westboro” and are not haters or homophobes, but are just people with a spiritual conviction not to support certain activities. These “gay rights” activist are not asking for equal rights, but rather special rights and recognition and the infringement on the religious institution of marriage recognized by the government. To save you the trouble, as Beck has pointed out the government and principles we were founded on does and always has recognized and honored religion (Christmas, In God We Trust, Hanakah, Ramadan, etc.

Exactly. If we agree on most things, we can continue to work together. We can have a converstaion about SSM at a later time. We must work togther with everyone to fix the fiscal mess. I’m a social conservative through and through. But just because someone disagrees with me on SSM or abortion doesn’t mean we can’t work together on other things. It’s OK to disagree. And it’s OK to vote for a candidate that doesn’t believe 100% in the things you believe.

Both parties act a good play. They bluster, filibuster and pound their fists on the table to prove their side is right. At the end of the day they are all at the bar together having a good time at our expense.

Conservatives must separate themselves from the Republican party if conservatism is to survive.

I’ve separated myself from the party whom I’ve identified myself with for a number of years. I have hopes that my Democrat and Republican friends do the same. Our two party system is actually a one party system. It’s like two Doberman’s fighting over the same bone. There is absolutely no accountability for Senators and Congressmen who choose to legislate against our standard, the Constitution. We should be running towards, not away from this standard when times are tough.
