Don’t Harass a ‘Human Statue’ Street Performer Because You Might Get Punched in the Face

Some street performers take their jobs very seriously. For many in the trade, it is an art perfected over many years.

That might be why a “human statue” street performer, reportedly in Surfers Paradise, Australia, lost his cool when an annoying guy came up to him and began harassing him relentlessly. In the video posted on YouTube Friday, a man is seen flicking the performers ear, messing with his hat, giving him a wet willie and rubbing the front of his face — all while smiling.

That same guy then got decked in the face by the fed-up street performer. It was a devastating, clean right hook that caught the harasser completely off guard.

  I love these performers. There is one in New Orleans, (Jackson Square area and old French quarter). He goes by the name of “Uncle Louie.” He is FABULOUS. ANY JERK who messes with these “Artists” deserve to get what this guy got and MORE. Either appreciate the performance for what it is or go away and let others appreciate it.

  If the majority of these posts is any true indication, SREGN, you’d be better off leaving the mime alone.
  
  As for me, the jester in this video infuriated me to the point that if I saw anybody harassing any innocent street performer, I’d help the performer leave a lasting impression on the person bothering him/her. Remember the Golden Rule.

  But you see, here in the USA, the cops and the politicians would view something like that as a crime called ASSAULT! and arrest the actor and soak him for thousands in fines. Then, they would allow the punk to sue the actor in civil court and take his house and force his family into the streets. Then the guy would jump off a bridge and kill himself because there are no jobs due to excessive taxation and NAZI-like over-regulation and micromanagement by a central “authority” then………………

  I suspect that, in the states at least, the actions of the nice fellow in the purple shirt would actually be considered harrassment which is at least a step below assault which is what the human statue committed….that said, good, screw that guy, what a tool

The tourist was a jerk.

The street performer showed some pretty good discipline (not surprising considering his occupation); I would have broke character at the wet willy.

The only problem I see here is that the performer didn’t hit him hard enough (the kid walked away).

There are consequences for actions, kiddies. Perhaps this idiot learned that.
