Dem Congressman Hank Johnson Admits He Has Manure on His Face Over Sequestration

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) on Friday admitted that he has “a little egg” on his face, courtesy of Republicans.

Speaking on the House floor, Johnson said he previously “assured you there was no chance sequestration would kick in.” However, when push came to shove, the GOP refused to back down and decided that sequestration was better than no spending cuts at all.

“You know, I’ve got egg on my face. Really, it’s more like manure on my face, I feel. And so bam, it is what it is,” he said.

Johnson is the same congressman who introduced legislation to abolish the nation’s debt limit so the country could spend as much as it pleased without worrying about racking up too much debt.

Sequestration will result in $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts over the next 10 years, with about $85 billion of the cuts occurring in 2013.

It has been reported by several media outlets that the original idea for sequestration came from Jack Lew, Obama’s former budget director. Lew eventually became the president’s chief of staff and recently was confirmed as Treasury secretary.

The White House has been extremely critical of sequestration and has blamed Republicans for “making this choice.” In reality, it seems that the White House crafted the sequestration cuts and then the GOP called the bluff when Democrats failed to offer any real spending cuts or reforms.

  This is the gentleman that worried Guam might tip over if another Marine contingent was stationed there. I remember thinking it must be a joke. Turns out he has suffered a stroke. The kicker is that he was reelected this past election. I’m all for folks that had a stroke to continue a full vibrant life, working etc. But this man clearly has some cognitive issues. There is no House rules or law that prevents him from being a congressman as it should be that way. However, as a voter, this disqualifies him in my estimation. To be fair, it appears his staff may have helped hide the extent of his stroke. The average voter in his district may not suspect any cognitive difficulties but I sure do.

Not to wax overly semantic but I’m glad the Dem himself said “manure on his face” and not some white pundit. I do agree with him in that he certainly does have “it” on his face, especially since that’s him saying it. Here I’d first thought there would be little of anything respective to humor in this article, but as usual the abject Libs seldom disappoint. Thanks Dems!

Please! This is the complete buffoon that was worried that the island of Guam might tip over, if too many troops were sent there. He’s a fool, and so is anyone who would vote for him! When he says he’s got manure on his face, that’s no different than him saying “I’ve got my brains on my face”.

Let’s not overlook the stark fact that Mr. Obama demanded the Sequester in 2008 unless we had a budget to cut spending. He got what he wished for and then lays it on the Reps? The biggest question remaining is when (and if) the low information people are ever going to understand what the Dems are doing and who they really are. Look at how the Dems have completely fooled 99.999999 of Black Americans ever since the Civil War? How’s that “War on Poverty” working out since 1965? The Liberals only want to be judged on the intent of their programs and NEVER upon the results.

  Yep, sad thing is that Dems have crapped all over the people that supported them. Now that they have the power, they are still dropping a load on them. The poor, the middle class, Blacks, Hispanics and Whites alike. They don’t discriminate based on color just status. They take care of their rich Hollywood friends and rich Union friends and rich Wall Street friends. Who has more rich people in their mids? Democrats or Republicans and how did they earn their money?
