Jay Carney Snaps at Another Reporter, This Time from Fox: ‘If You Did a Little Reporting…’

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney during an interview with Fox News’ Jenna Lee on Friday snapped at her questions regarding the effects of sequestration, saying that “if [she] did a little reporting” she would be better informed.

“The White House is going to be open for the East Egg Roll for families for Congress,” Lee said, referring to the various closures that the White House has announced since the March 1 automatic budget cuts, “but not open for families that are just, you know, regular families out there that want to visit the White House.”

Carney pounced.

“Well, actually,” he said, “Jenna, again, if you did a little reporting you’d know that the Easter Egg Roll is open for a lot of military families.”

“It’s paid for by the sale of those eggs that come out as well as donations from the outside,” he added.

For those of you who might be a little surprised at the Press Secretary’s tone, you shouldn’t be. After all, this is the second time this week that he has snapped at a reporter.

Recall that NPR reporter Mara Liasson on Monday asked him whether entitlement reform would be part of President Barack Obama’s official budget.

“Mara, the way you phrase that question makes me think that you’re still working on a typewriter or something. It’s available online. The proposal is there,” Carney responded.

Indeed, Carney’s tendency to be somewhat curt is hardly new — especially when it comes to Fox reporters. Consider the past dust-ups both he and Fox News’ Ed Henry have gotten into:

Fox, let’s us ponder. They do certainly do favor the right. To be fair and balanced, there are other networks who favor the left. They do report what they want the right to believe. They do stretch the truth. To be fair and balanced though, the left supporting channels do as well. Here is the difference no body talks about. This (conservative leaning channel) has some of the nastiest ass, foul, controversial cartoons and TV show of any traditional television channel. The “G” in Glee stands for gay, and lord have mercy the cartoons are nasty, harsh, and plum stupid. How do they balance?

  rfycom, first, fair and balanced has to do with news. Second, what you consider “moral” may be very subjective. Third, the “other left” outlets actually make up the news and lie about facts. FOX, at least allows both sides to spew their propaganda,

Does anybody know what Dr Corsi and Sheriff Joe of Arizona are doing with the investigation they did about that fraud BC that Obama posted on his web site. These two guys have all kinds of experts look at the forms and called it a fake. Now what? when are they going forward with this info.
